2025.01.22 06:56 anacoluthon_ Battery replaced but problems from update still persist + fingerprint scanner gone
Like everybody else here I was forced into the recent update which tanked battery performance. I've been using this 4a since 2021 and prior to the update it was working just fine; after the update, my phone couldn't last 2 hours of light use after a full charge, and fast-charging doesn't work anymore.
I read on here that some folks had their batteries replaced and it solved the issues from the update. I need my phone for work and got a battery replacement today at a local repair shop, but the exclamation mark and the battery change notification hasn't gone away, the battery still drains quickly, and fast charging still doesn't work. On top of that, the fingerprint scanner has just completely disappeared from settings and I can't use it anymore - not sure if this was due to a fuckup by the repair shop or something else.
Has anybody encountered this problem? Are there any solves for it? The battery replacement was my last shot at trying to fix this shit :(

Last few days I'm riding my eBike to work in Wisconsin (cold), I've noticed my right hand goes numb much quicker then my left, about ten to fifteen minutes into a half hour ride. I wear thick gloves, but still experiencing 'slam your hand in a car door' pain. I thought it was just from the cold, bought new gloves, but still feel it. And as I said in the right hand faster than the left. Amd it takes a little while once I get inside for the pain to go away. I'm 49. Don't drink or smoke. Could an artery in my right arm be pinched, constricting blood flow?

Gmail help - Emails being received on backup address after other account was suspended and restored.
To try and describe the problem....
I have Email1@gmail (personal) and Email2@gmail (setup for a club I run)
Email1 is the back address for Email2
Email 2 was suspended but then re-enabled on appeal.
For some reason I am receiving emails sent to Email2 on Email1. The To field is Email2, Email1 is not listed as CC or BCC.
I do not have any forwarding setup on Email2, I do not have any other accounts setup under Email1.
Can anyone help with how to stop this happening? Thanks.
