I'm 48 and never really understood gay men. A lot of gay men I know are not easy to pick out. They act like an average man that happens to be gay. Most people don't even know they're gay. Then, there are the gay guys that really put it out there like putting on a show. Why? Is it an attention thing? I just don't understand why they want to put it out there and make life all about their sexuality, or at least that's how it comes off to me. I'm not trying to be judgmental. I just do not get it. help a straighty understand, or will it always be over my head?

I got this lobe piercing in november and did not have any issues with it until just this week and I have no idea what to do. it was perfectly fine zero issues until now. I’ve tried to have this pericing 3 different times now in different places and this same issue occurs at the 3 month mark. My other ear is perfectly fine nothing there and healing fine. I don’t know what to do.
Any advice ??

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering where people's thoughts are currently sitting on the state of compact v-mount batteries (I'm not in the US, so Gold Mount is no good here)?
My must-have priorities are: - light weight (<900g) - 150Whr minimum capcity - onboard LCD that displays remaining runtime
USB-C output would also be really nice to have, but is not an essential feature.
I have a couple of Anton Bauer chargers already, and a fleet of their previous model, cubic-shaped Cine 150s, which have been incredibly reliable. But looking for some lighter alternatives for handheld builds.
The Anton Bauer Titon SL models (which are now discontinued) do hold a lot of appeal. Since they're matched to my chargers, and are only 800g for the 150Wh versions. I also LOVE that they've put the LCD display on the operator's side, which is significantly easier to keep track off than ones mounted on the rear of the batteries. They're also nice and slim at 52mm deep.
Core have their new "Nano X" mini batteries, which also seem appealing with their super-light 703g build for the 150Wh ones. They also have USB-C output which is a nice bonus, and the LCD read-out at the back. They are a little thicker round the waist though at 67mm thick.
Does anyone have any particular favourites they'd recommend?

2025.02.02 03:32 Silent-Obligation-49 Omg they have so ruined this game since release with game patches. This is regarding franchise mode.
I played this game early access before the day 1 release update and really enjoyed the game and that is why I ended up buying it. But the patches have ruined this game. Before the day 1 update the games were fun and competitive as some games I would get out hit and out shot and my goalie would actually stop some pucks. I had a record of 14-12 and the game was challenging. Now every single game it is the exact same experience outshoot the other team 2 or 3 to 1 and every opposing goalie plays like Hasek while my goalies allows multiple weak goals to make the game competitive. It is not even fun. For the record I play on superstar and win over 90% of my games no challenge at all. Despite the AI passing over 92% every game and winning every puck battle. My AI teammates haven’t won a 1 on 1 puck battle along the boards since nhl 14.

In October 2024 I was in Atlantic City and while at the Borgata sportsbook they had people trying to sign you up for BetMGM and pushing the $1500 no sweat bonus. I ended up signing up, deposited $1500, made one bet that paid out about $2850. The app says W2-G would be available by January 31st but I'm not seeing anything. I'm wondering if it's late or I just won't get one. Am I supposed to report this win to the IRS come tax time or did BetMGM handle the taxes for this transaction?  | Hi everyone. I bought the game today and I’ve been enjoying it so far. When I got taken to the select save screen I saw that I had a save with 17mins play time (I think I played during a free week on steam or on ps4, honestly don’t remember), I launched it but didn’t understand anything and what to do so I made a fresh save. I played 1.5hrs so far and before I called it a night, I hopped back into the old save and realised I have all these things. A different head, different ship, gun etc. It seems I have plenty more upgrades to my ship, suit, multi tool. Should I continue my old save? (The last picture is my new save with the I’m guessing standard suit? And standard ship? Hey, I’m 18 and I live with my mom, grandparents, and two younger sisters. I’ve been doing a lot of self-growth lately and trying to break out of some unhealthy patterns, but the home environment is making it tough. I used to rely on substances and self harm but i’ve bettered myself and moved past that within the past year.
My parents had me when they were really young, so I’ve never really had solid guidance from them. My mom has a lot of issues with emotional regulation, and it often ends up being taken out on me and my sisters. She’ll sometimes recognize that she’s in the wrong, but nothing really changes. It’s frustrating because I know she loves us, but love without accountability doesn’t really help when you’re left picking up the pieces and i’ve essentially become my own parent.
My dad’s been dealing with some personal issues for a while now, so he’s not really involved in our lives. He has caused so much damage to our family in so many ways. He feels guilty about everything that’s happened, but instead of dealing with it, he ends up taking his anger out on us. He can’t handle the fact that he messed up, so he kind of just bottles everything up and lashes out. He and my mom have this weird on-and-off dynamic, and it just adds even more stress to the situation. They’re not together, but it almost feels like they are because of how they act toward each other, and it just drags us into the drama. I feel as if I don’t have parents but two teenagers who put me in the middle of all their bullshit. It doesn’t help that my mom will vent to me about him then he’ll come around afterwards like nothing has happened. It’s getting more difficult to hide from my siblings who are younger than me and have to witness these confusing situations they shouldn’t be around for.
I’ve had to step up a lot for my sisters. It’s a lot of pressure, especially when I’m still figuring stuff out for myself. I love them, but it’s tough to balance being a sibling and having to be their emotional support at the same time.
For a long time, I let my home life affect how I saw myself. I struggled with self-worth and relationships because of the stuff I was dealing with. I’d look for validation from others because I wasn’t getting it at home. But I’ve learned that I don’t need to seek approval from anyone and I’m working on trusting myself more. My mom is stuck in one place and I stopped going to her for things, I can’t even bring myself to feel bad for them anymore. I’m patient and will get out eventually but it causes me to have anger issues like both of my parents and I hate it.
It’s definitely gotten better as I have amazing friends and trying to fall in love with life and myself. My best friend told me I should be proud of myself for where I am right now because with my family dynamic, it was like I was destined to fail. I am hard on myself sometimes.
I’ve been trying to distance myself from the chaos at home and focus on my future, but it’s hard. I feel like I’m just waiting for the day I can leave, but until then, I’m trying to figure out how to cope and keep moving forward. I have a job and a social life so I use those to stay away when I need a break, I’m also starting college later in the year.
If anyone’s been through something similar or has advice on how to stay mentally strong in a situation like this, I’d appreciate it. If you stuck around till the end, Thanks so much for reading.
