I need some guidance on how to do OMAD properly.
I'm doing OMAD for several reasons, but mainly for the enjoyment factor and to train myself to be more fat adapted (which I see as a long term invesment in the future).
I'm a 23 year old male and currently weight in at 63 kg at 178 cm, so I'm quite lean and would obviously want to put on some muscles. I lift weight 3-4 times a week and do sprints on rest days. Besides this I always hit 15k+ steps a day.
I break my fast at around 8 pm everyday after having done everything I need for the day. Usually do my workouts at around 5-6 pm. I feel awesome around this time and love this part of the day, where I get to wind down and really enjoy the meal.
Initially, my meal was higher in carbs and quite low in fats, but lately I tried to go higher fats/lower carbs to make it more sustainable and improve fat adaption, however I'm having troubles finding the right balance.
I probably tend to eat too much protein, which leaves to little room for enough "energy" calories. Maybe this explains why I often feel quite lethargic in the morning. However, this feeling normally vanishes quite quickly, and I have no problem going through the day without eating. I actually usually feel my best after 18+ hours of fasting.
But I don't eat enough I suspect. Because I'm not gaining weight and my energy levels could be better. A typical meal could look like this:
- 500 grams of 90/10 ground beef
- 4-5 eggs
- a can of sardines (100 grams) an avocado
- 10-20 grams of parmesan cheese
- 3-500 grams of veggies, typically broccoli, spinach and some shredded lettuce
- some ice cream/greek youghurt for dessert (around 5-600 calories, 30-40 grams of carbs)

Are any of you worried about the future when you are old and you've only got one child to look after you and potentially have to pay all of your nursing home bills? And what about when you die and then they're all left on their own? Does that not want you to have another child so they're not on their own to shoulder the burden?

Hi yall! Just wanted to hear some thoughts/opinions on this. Ever since I was 16 my head has grown these 2 random spots of gray hair which end up giving me gray streaks. Have dyed and bleached my hair a bunch since then and I’m now 23 with my natural hair finally grown out enough to see the grays again. Any idea why this may be? I don’t have gray hair in any other spots.

meine Partnerin braucht in naher Zukunft ein neues Auto. Der Swift (BJ 2009) hat letztes Jahr mit Kosten von knapp 2500€ für Reperaturen seine Wirtschaftlichkeit verspielt. Vorderachse und Getriebe wurden erneuert. Die Frage bleibt was als nächstes kommt.
~20.000km im Jahr (2x40km Arbeitsweg + vereinzelte Kurzstrecken für die Arbeit) - Zurückhaltende Fahrweise, auf der Autobahn selten mehr als 120km/h - Kleinst- oder Kleinwagen sollte es sein - Möglichst Kosteneffizient in Unterhalt und Wartung - Keine großen Ansprüche in Bezug auf Fahrweise, Technik und Komfort. - Kaufbudget bis 10.000€ bevorzugt, absolute Schmerzgrenze bei 13.000€ (offen für Alternativen wie Leasing etc.) - Lademöglichkeit ggf. vorhanden (siehe Frage 2), außerdem Ladesäulen in der Nähe der Arbeitsstätte
Nun bleiben noch folgende Fragen offen.
- Swift mit ~1 Jahr TÜV und den Reperaturen verkaufen oder warten bis zur nächsten Krise und dann abstoßen?
- Wir wohnen aufm Dorf, kennen den Vermieter gut und es sind Außensteckdosen vorhanden. Kann man die Außensteckdose für kleines Geld fit machen lassen für das Laden (weniger als 500€)? Eine eigene Wallbox am fremden Haus sehe ich als keine sinnvolle Investition, aber kenne die genauen Kosten nicht.
