2025.01.22 10:53 Ready_Village_1915 Is it safe to walk my cat while she’s in heat?
NB: Spay is already booked, she just went into heat early!
My sphynx is super, super high energy, and walks and outings are the best way to let her burn off some steam. She went into heat on Monday, but I wasn’t 100% that was what was happening until yesterday evening.
I walked her yesterday morning and there was no issue, she didn’t try to wiggle out of her harness or anything, but the signs are getting more intense now so wanted to see if anyone had experience with this. Like even if she doesn’t try to escape, will we be stalked by male cats??
Half of me is saying why risk it, but she obviously really wants to go out and it helped a lot with her restlessness yesterday.

 | Picked up this 98 2.2 over the weekend. I had an 01 Xtreme that I purchased new in 2000 when I graduated high school that I bagged and body dropped but sold it a few years later when my oldest son was born, and have wanted another ever since. Fast forward, he’s 19 now, and we’ve been talking for a while about building a truck together. A couple weeks ago he said let’s do it, find a truck. So I scoured marketplace for a couple weeks when this one popped up. Made an offer, closed the deal, and picked her up. 98, 2.2, seller says it jumped timing and has no power. No power is an understatement (even for the already abysmal power of the 2.2) It barely made it on the trailer. I might spend some time figuring it out and getting it running right, but my end game is an LS swap anyway. Plans are bags, stock floor body drop, and an LS with some exterior customizations.
