So yesterday evening after work my legs were a bit sore and i saw that they were quite swollen and that it was pitting edema (picture in comments). I am actually a medstudent myself but i can't get an appointment at my GP for several weeks and I feel like the ER would be a bit of an overkill since i don't have any other symptoms. This morning when i woke up, it was better but not entirely gone, now (11 am) its again almost as bad as yesterday evening. I am an otherwise healthy 24 year old female. One thing that is maybe relevant is that I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse and mild regurgitation (grade 2) a couple years back because I was frequently having palpitations. I take co-bisoprolol 5mg-12,5mg 1x day and an oral contraceptive. I haven't seen my cardiologist in 2 years. My question really is if i schould get this checked out immediately or if I can wait until i can get an appointment with my GP or cardiologist.

Hola, es un tema delicado para mí, es difícil resumir tantos años pero lo puedo ver por el resultado de mis comportamientos actuales. No se explaya simplemente en tener "amor propio" por que no sirve solamente eso. No es que mañana me despierte y vea la vida de otra manera. Es algo con lo que lucho hace muchos años, y podría decirse que es mi batalla más grande. Solo busco consejos. Crecí un poco solitaria y sufriendo bullying en la escuela por que estudiaba y siempre era de niñas que estaban en un mejor pasar económico. Tengo recuerdos confusos pero me desarrollé de muy chica y siempre fui muy sexualizada, es algo que siempre me avergonzó. Luego pude empezar a usar polleras y cosas más femeninas pero me tapaba mucho. Al día de hoy me cuesta usar bikini por que odio mi cuarpo. Sufrí acoso (lo sigo padeciendo aunque menos como cambiaron las cosas), siempre sentí desconfianza hacia el varón cuando empecé a salir con chicos. Luego de una relación estable de 6 años un ex me engaño con una chica de unos 20 yo teniendo 26. Lo cual me traumó bastante. Me sentía vieja. Y a partir de ahí es como que comencé a odiar a otras mujeres que se acerquen o quieran interactuar con mis parejas. Me cuesta estar en la calle porque estoy pendiente de dónde mira mi pareja. Así como tuve novios que miran otras mujeres delante mío, no lo soporté. Me llevó a tener en un momento una inseguridad tan extrema que no quería comer. También esto se profundizó y es más notorio hoy, veo chicas tan sexualizadas y ofrecidas que me dan asco. Asco literalmente. Que no puedo entender cómo basan su vida en eso tan efímero. Y me da bronca los tipos que las miran, que consumen todo eso, temo en el fondo sin quererlo que mi actual pareja sea así. Ya anda con el celular a altas horas de la noche por qué está insomne o lo tiene encima y ya pienso lo peor. El hecho de pensar que no hay tipo que no sexualice a una mujer por sobre el amor que pueda sentir y pueda tirar a la basura una relación con este tipo de mujer por diez minutos de calentura me aterra.
Paradójicamente, en la intimidad disfruto mi sexualidad plenamente. Me encanta el hombre con el que estoy, soy fiel y no sexualizo a otros. Estoy con total entrega.
Creo que estoy tan dolida de toda la vida de como se vio a la mujer (la tele y el verano con las bikinis, la mujer delgada y joven y todos esos mensajes de mierd@ que nos inculcaron y siguen haciéndolo) que no puedo cambiar, quisiera estar tan libre de ese sentimiento horrible.
Vivo ahora en un barrio de buen pasar con mí pareja. Es como mi peor pesadilla, lo que veía en la tele se hizo realidad y me regodeo todos los dias de modelos. Súper top para ir a comprar al kiosco de la esquina. Odio a las chicas que viven ahí. Tan superficiales, plásticas, falsas. Quisiera no sentirlo. No entiendo en mí historia por qué me duele tanto y siento ese rechazo en vez de seguir adelante y que ni me importe esa gente. Que no es nadie.
No puedo sacarme esa sensación tan horrible. Realmente quiero cambiar. Quisiera poder sentir paz mental una vez en la vida.

I understand people are up in arms about the situation in the US but I thought this was a sub for millennials to talk about millennial stuff. Some of us here aren't even American and want to just talk about generational stufd and nostalgia for our childhood.

Hi everyone, I live in a condo in Oahu, Hawaii. For the past few months I'm dealing with these roaches. I managed to snap two photos of one I killed. There are a lot of them around the kitchen and bathroom. Many of them are smaller than this in the picture. Can someone please let me know what kind of roach this is? Should I call professional pest control company to deal with this? I have two corgis and I'm afraid to use any chemicals or sprays.. Appreciate your reply!

Ok, so here is a real question I’ve been thinking about : I have the little funds I own on a ledger. I have only set it up once a couple years ago and have no idea how it works. Is there even one compelling reason to not only buying Bitcoin ETFs from now on? I want to continue to DCA. I am based in Germany and all the big banks offer BTC ETFs now, so they are secure and backed up. Why take the risk of owning everything on a piece of paper and an USB-Stick somewhere between my underwear? I don’t see a single compelling argument and would love to hear your take on this!

I'm moving to the US soon, but I currently live in South America. I'm planning to buy the Google Pixel Pro and I have three options on how to do the purchase: buying it here in my current country in a in-person store, or through Amazon and getting it delivered to South America, or to buy it in the US once I arrive. The cost would be pretty similar for all options, what I'm worried about is that if I buy it in South America then it could face issues when using it in the US (bands, buying a plan, insurance or whatever). I have the same concerns if I order it through Amazon, maybe that version could also give me problems later on in the US (?). And obviously buying it in the US when arriving wouldn't give me future problems, but It would be inconvenient to wait to get there just to buy it then.
Which option is the best that guarantees no future issues with it's use in the US?

The map feels extremely dull and depressing, it's just the opposite of eye candy for me. I kinda wish they'd add an option to turn it back to the normal version of SR in settings.
