Hi everyone. I had a very weird dream last night and I would love to hear what you think. I dreamt my grandmother(who passed away) was sitting at my kitchen table with my mom. My husband and my mom were not surprised she was there but I was so shocked. I kept telling them how can she be there when she passed away. No one even acted shocked. But what was so weird is her presence was creepy and made me feel very uncomfortable. In my dream my dog wouldn't go in the yard because she was there. What do you think this means? Normally when I see my family that passed, I always feel happy but not this dream. It was so different. Thank you all

I have big terraforming plans for my main base. My ideal materials would involve a lot of mortared stone-brick, and glass. I can strip mine a few deserts for sand, or I can filter separate flint from gravel. Just like for torches, I can always mine more netherrack than I need in hollowing out to make a netherbase workshop. But I'm talking like... chests of glass, and even larger volumes of stone brick.
(While on the subject, I could use a lot more clay, which I'm finding very hard to come by in my travels -- thus, it'll end up being nethersludge for mortar, since I have a decent tree farm already.)
Basically, whether by mob traps or animal farming (I fantasize of making a bat farm someday once I beat the ender dragon) is there a known list of materials that simply must be found in the wild? Aside from specific artifacts at temples and villages and whatnot. Is it theoretically possible to automate the production of every single possible item, or at least every single base-raw material, in the game, assuming you automate big enough with high-enough tech?

2025.01.22 11:32 stockdeity Are controllers too good or is it I that needs to get good?
For as long as I can remember I have always used a generic budget controller. Wanting to treat myself I purchased an Easysmx X15. It felt great in my hands and looked the part and I was extremely satisfied with my purchase until I tried playing my favourite racing game. Pushing the left stick a full 90 degrees to the left or the right resulted in the car not turning as it usually does.
So I did some testing with "hardware tester" and the controller seems to be working as intended. It reaches 100 in both left and right directions but here's the thing the "zone" of a full 90 degrees is so small, if my thumb moves the stick a millimeter up or down so 88/92 degrees the input registers around 85-90. On my budget controllers there seems to be almost a magnetic pull that makes the stick hit the left or right axis perfectly.
So is this just a case of new "good" controllers being much more sensitive, allowing the players to make micro adjustments to be more accurate? Is it because of the use of hall sensors? Is this now the norm with new controllers? Do I just need to suck it up and retrain my thumbs to be more delicate and precise?
If you read all of that congratulations and thanks, I couldn't find a simpler way of explaining my issue in detail. I'd appreciate any comments educating me. Cheers
