2025.01.22 12:51 MouZart 7900XT RMA oder Repaste?
Ich hab meine ASRock Phantom Gaming White 7900XT jetzt knapp ein Jahr (am 19.01.2024 bei Mindfactory bestellt) und das Temperatur Delta zwischen normaler Temperatur und Junction Temperatur siedelt sich in intensiven Spielen wie Cyberpunk 2077 (mit oder ohne RT fast schon egal) bei ca 30-31°C an. Da das ja bei den 7900er Karten leider eher die Regel als die Ausnahme ist überlege ich jetzt, die Karte einfach mit PTM7950 zu repasten anstatt eine RMA zu machen.
Wie seht ihr das? Lohnt sich das RMA und möglicherweise Wochen auf einen Ersatz zu warten bei dem möglicherweise das selbe Problem ist?
Dazu kommt noch dass ich keine Ersatz GPU zur Hand habe, also auch mein PC in der Zeit quasi Nutzlos ist.

2025.01.22 12:51 sinnerced A cannibal was watching me on Peaceful mode
Hello, I'm new to the game and yesterday started playing on Peaceful. I was having a lot of fun just hunting and gathering with Kelvin, until on the second night I had a close encounter with a cannibal.
Everything was fine on the first day and night. I went into a small cave, up on the mountain near the start, and found no enemies there, only scary cave sounds. Later I found a small cannibal village/camp and it was all empty too. There were no cannibals anywhere, as it should be on Peaceful. I heard no screaming or shrieking either - what I guess the cannibals sound like. I think I might've heard something like a growl, but it was quiet and I never heard it again afterwards (also couldn't see anything in the area).
On the second day, leading to the incident, I've found a man holding a flare (who died when I got close), and one of my team members(?) on a rope, hanging from a small cliff side. I cut him down and progressed a quest to find the three of them. - I don't know if this could be responsible for the cannibal spawning, I read that there's enemies in certain caves for the story progression.
In the maybe 10-15 minutes leading to the encounter, as I was leaving the team member's body and going back into the forest, I thought I heard whispering out to my left. I cut through the bushes and looked really closely to where I heard it. I haven't seen anything, or heard any more "whispers". I guessed it was just leaves rustling. Later I started hearing really weird meowing that I couldn't assign to any animal I saw in the sound's general direction (deers, raccoons, maybe a hare?) but didn't think much of it either; I thought that if it were cannibals they wouldn't meow but rather scream, and many animals make many weird sounds.
I stopped for the night in the middle of the forest, by a tiny pond. It got dark quick and I had Kelvin make fire. I started cooking some meat on it. Didn't make a makeshift tent from tarp yet, felt no need to rush it. I waited for the meat to cook, walked around the fire for a bit and Kelvin just went to sleep on a rock. When it finished cooking I put it in my inventory, looked up and there he was. A man just casually standing less than a meter away from me, watching me. The moment I caught eye contact with him he bolted into the bushes and darkness behind him. I just paused the game and refused to unpause for a while.
It couldn't have been anything else. It was a pale human watching me cook at night. I've spent over an hour yesterday desperately looking for anyone who's experienced the same. I found nothing. Only some people saying there's scripted encounters, like some "live cutscenes", but always name a few in caves (like a cannibal walking behind a wall). I haven't seen anyone mention a scripted encounter with a cannibal in the forest. I looked up descriptions of cannibals on the game's wiki and the one in my game kinda matches with the "lone cannibal"'s desc. - a single cannibal curiously watching the player; runs away rather than fights.
TLDR; On the second night in game I found a cannibal watching me from very close by. He ran away when I made eye contact with him. I am most definitely playing on Peaceful mode. I only made little progress in one of the quests/tasks.
I'd want to know if it was scripted or if it's a real enemy that's now out there somewhere, and if there is/will be more of them. And if it really is just a cannibal in my game then how? why? I know for a fact the game is in Peaceful mode - I picked it in the main menu and whenever I save the game it says it's on Peaceful.

First off al English is not my first language I'll try my best to write correctly.
So what I'm about to tell you happend years ago in 2011. I remember that because my uncle died the month prior due to a heart attack. Unfortunately heart attacks runs in the family. We knew 100% for sure as soon as my uncle died from it. He was one of to many. This detail will come back later. the ages called are the ages we were in 2011. Yea yea i know my ex was a bit older. But in my defense we grew up together from when i was 3. And he was 7. And due to my difficult youth because both of my parents were addicted and my dad died when i was six. I grew up really fast to say the least.
So my ex (male 21 ). Me (female 17) were on a night out. We both had something to drink (not to much) and later on went to my mother's house. Were i lived at the time. He basically lived there as well. For a late night snack we wanted to make grilled cheese sandwich. Each of us had 4 slices of bread to make 2 for each. The bag with bread layed on the counter next to him (litterly). He had one out of 4 slices that was half the size of the other 3. He asked me if he could have one of my slices to make it even. I said "no" with my eye falling on de bag with bread next to his arm. I figured; he didn't saw the bag at first and he'll look for it. I saw him looking at it and he went straight to me and asked again. I said: no, i saw you looking at the bag why don't just put the small one back and grab one that is the same size? He stood there for a bit, looked at his plate with the slices. Then looked at me and called me a whore. Back then he was my first and only of course. He went straight upstairs. Left everything. I was so hurt by that. My apatite went straight out of the window. I Cleaned everything up. Put everything back in to place. Ather that i also went up stairs. Layed my self to bed. While he was behind the computer i think starting up a game or something. So after a while of silence and my thoughts "we need to talk about this" I said: so we're not gonna tall about you calling me a whore". He kept quit for a bit. Until i said: you think it's normal to call me that over a slice of bread. He cut me in my sentence and yelled at me saying: i hope you'll die just like your uncle.
After that i cried myself to sleep. When i tried talking about it the next day. He told me, i shouldn't drag old mud out of the pond. (If i say that correct.) Don't talk about the past is what i mean. We had a little discussion about what i wanted to talk about isn't something of years back or something we cleared between us before. He always would end it by hitting me.

I just bought this brand new 2024 Honda crv sport AWD that only had 38km last Tuesday, January 14th. I've been driving it to work every day and have have been pretty cautious. This morning I started I started my car and all these lights popped up. I've been warming up my car before driving it and it was fine yesterday. I'm going to call Honda and get it serviced today hopefully as I still have warranty but wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Worried I might have gotten a lemon car :(

Guys, I know you get that a lot - and 99% of the time the answer is no - but the full file edit recommendations (not code completion in edit mode) seem to have deteriorated over the last month.
I see cursor comprehension of my requests being less smart than it was; recommending edits that are not defensible and misaligned with my request.
I know AI development can be very chaotic with different parts of systems influencing each other and regressions manifesting with every little change. The only thing I can offer is examples that I think Cursor should handle and where I had to iterate a bit too much for Cursor to get it right.
I love your product, I believe in your design approach; Let's please make it the best experience :)
