Hi everyone! I am from Poland and my boyfriend lives on the East Coast of the US. We want to meet at some point and our idea was that of me coming to the US to visit him. I would stay at his house, he is living with his parents because it's way more affordable than living alone, which is fine for me. I also live with my parents. But there is a problem - his parent. They are an absolute model helicopter parent and it seems like their viewing me as an evil girl who wants nothing but to catfish and deceive and cheat their son. They don't like the fact that I am from Europe, that English is not my native language (but I am using it more than Polish so it's almost as if it was my native :p). I am basically a trap to them and they called my bf stupid idiot for wanting to spend money on me.
Our plan was him buying me plane tickets and staying at his home, because that's the cheapest option. I have no savings nor job to finance my plane tickets, so even if we would want to book a hotel or AirBnB for both of us for my stay there, this + tickets would cost him way too much.
Surely someone already had situation like this and could help us. What could be done here to help the situation?

 | So I got the stats from BHVR and something is not right. I have almost 70 hours in just last 2 weeks (photo taken at January 3 2025), on stats you can see under 200. (I played DBD only at a time). There's probably roughly around 4-5k active players playing Planetside possibly more stragglers from time to time. If switched to a completely subscription based model of $14.99 a month that would me a steady flow of income for the game.
Keep the cash ship for extra income but add more stuff that is free as a normal subscription based game would do.
Not only will the provide a steady income for the game but a lot of players trying the game out will stick with it. How many MMOs have you played where you went in free to play, played for a few days something pissed you off and you left. But on games where you paid a subscription although something was off putting to you, you still came back time and time again because you invested into it. Out of all my years of playing MMOs subscription based has always been my favorite if you know what I'm talking about you know.
Anyways some may disagree but to save a game I find it necessary and not a big deal whatsoever.

Hello all,
I’m around 1780 Lichess rapid, 1800 Lichess classical (roughly top 20% for both) and 2000+ correspondence but I can’t for the life of me go beyond 1350 in Blitz 3|0 and 3|2 (bottom 30% of the player pool).
I blunder much more frequently and I feel pressured to play faster than I even should, sometimes losing with a minute or more still on the clock.
Besides the usual recommendations (more puzzles, more games, take your time, etc.) what other recommendations would you have for someone who’s fairly confident in rapid and classical but just cant get the hang of anything faster than 10 minutes.
