So for people who don't know, I got a healthcare support worker role with the NHS on December 10th brought up un this post here:
Finally got a job at the NHS today as a Healthcare Support Worker! Goodbye B&M! : BritishSuccess
And since my DBS began on December 27th and with Stage Three ending on December 28th, it's been 26 days since my last change on my DBS until today! Now just to wait for the certificate to be printed which google says will take 5 - 10 days to be printed and be posted to me.

Why on earth does my Mac weekly ask me to put in my password? I use fingerprint biometrics on the Mac keyboard, or facial recog on my iPhone. Since no one else can have my face, or fingerprint, why ask me for a password that someone else 'could' possibly have? Is this what we call the Illusion of Security? It makes no sense to me.

I’m deciding on doing my masters in information system from umbc. I’ve looked at the program and it’s the most ideal masters program for me. I just want some thoughts from people who are currently taking this program or already have. I will be doing this program in person. I’m just worried because of the job market and everything. I’m also an international student so my main concern is just getting a job from this degree. Are companies even looking to hire data analyst and similar positions? I know someone from UBC and they told me that they do higher students for research or something. Also, ideally, how long is this program because I’m hoping it’s at least 1 year or 1.5. If anyone of you is currently taking the program or already have can you give me some thoughts on it?

This might be a longshot, but basically I’m really into history and ancestry, and have been trying to track down as furthest back as I can in regard to my own ancestry.
I'm from Serbia, and my grandfather's story was always that basically our family came from the area of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. This would have been sometime before WW1, pre 20th century. It's a very rare surname here, only appearing in the very northeast of Serbia, and Romania. The only other bit of info l've ever gotten is that it was a tradition to wear a single earring to show that you are unmarried, which could mean nothing ancestry wise.
The last name is Baukov / Бауков.
I've tried searching up on google, and I did get quite a bit of results; seeing lots of individuals who live in the 3 countries with that surname. Does anyone know of any links to sites or books which could help me research further.

Hello,
So some few months ago I started hitting the gym and right now I feel much better with myself. My workout during a week is usually 2 days of force training (back and front), 2 days of cardio and maybe a trekking during the weekend.
So, I always had this thing about calisthenics but until now I didnt feel prepared. I did my first pull up the other week (I'm 1'72m 82 kg) and I would like to start as I feel motivated haha!
The issue is that I'm overwhelmed with all the information about exercises, youtube trainers and even this sub, as seems that everyone does their own workouts and I'm not sure where do I have to start or how to make a simple workout for me.
My idea is to add some calisthenics in the cardio days, after running but I need some advice if this is a good Idea or even which exercises to do. I will be doing 30 min cardio and other 30 min calisthenics?
I have a pull up bar so I guess that pull ups and negatives are into my plan. Also, I have some background in crossfit exercises like planks, push ups and other exercises that I see that are used in calisthenics.
Please, can someone provide me a information source for begginers or help me with a workout?

Scrivo a nome di un amico, che come prima esperienza lavorativa ha deciso di provare a lavorare da Burger King,
Lavorativamente parlando ha iniziato lunedì (riposo), e martedì si è presentato per il primo giorno effettivo di lavoro. A fine giornata lavorativa si è reso conto che non è un lavoro che avrebbe piacere di fare anche solo per qualche mese, quindi ha deciso mercoledì di scrivere al responsabile che non avrebbe più avuto intenzione di proseguire, al che il responsabile risponde che non c’è alcun problema, ma che siccome il contratto è partito dovrebbe firmarlo e poi dare le dimissioni.
Mi sono sorti dei dubbi…
- Un contratto non firmato e controfirmato, è un contratto non valido in parteza…
- Il contratto era di 3 mesi per poi eventualmente allungarlo alla fine di questo periodo di prova. Non vorrei che firmando lui si impegna a lavorare appunto per almeno 3 mesi, e che quindi licenziandosi poi debba risarcire l’azienda.
