Hi, visiting Iceland for the first time end of May this year with my partner. Would love to find an 2 day hike, where we can stay in some kind of cabin/lodge (with bathroom, cooking facilities or food options, private bedroom) at the end of the first day, airbnb would be fine.
Ideally ~10km walking each day, and either south coast or north coast areas.

 | These pictures were taken in Llano, Texas back in April 2023. I went out in the middle of the night to go find hogs that were showing up on my trail cam outside my deer feeder. I brought a friend with me who is interested in seeing me shoot a few hogs. We parked our truck a good distance away and walked around to ensure the wind wouldn’t give us up. As we were walking, I got the sense that something was following us, and it was concerning. We reached the deer feeder, and the hogs had left already. Not wanting to spook my friend, I said we should shoot at my steel targets down the way for fun, but I was really hoping to scare off whatever was stalking us. The next morning, I went out to look where we walked and see if I can spot any evidence. This is what I found. You can see one of the tracks is actually right over top of my friends’ footprint. Given this is Hill country Texas, and I’ve seen everything including mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, and fox, I just don’t know what this could be. The two prints side by side with what appears to be parts of the “forearm” reminds me of a cat taking a stretch. Today, I was assigned to monitor the first 10 rows during the exam. But in the last hour I oversaw the back rows. That’s when I noticed something odd a boy and a girl sitting a little too close.
The girl seemed to be from the Hindi medium section, and the boy from the English medium. To act cool, the boy was pretending to help her, but it was obvious he had no clue what he was doing. His rough page was completely blank!
I couldn’t help but feel bad for the girl. Who knows what she must have been going through? I just hope she didn’t follow whatever “help” he gave her.

2025.01.22 12:43 Lanky_Use4073 Six months of battling with HR, I finally got my employee to work as a permanent remote employee.
I had this same argument for months, but I wasn't giving up.
This poor woman, who does excellent work, lives in another governorate and wakes up at 3 am to travel two hours to the company. That's four hours out of her day. Now, work days from the office are required only once a week, but that's still about 16 hours of her life per month, which could be better utilized.
So every month, I had the same conversation. And every month, I got the same boring, ridiculous excuse: "It's one day a week. You don't even have to be there for 8 hours." As if that would change the four hours of commuting?!
She is responsible for her parents' health and has two children. What if there was an emergency and she had to drive two hours to get home?
So at some point, I ignored HR. I told her to work from home until I told her she couldn't. I'll postpone the issue as much as I can. A month later, I got a garbage badge swipe report basically saying that I have the authority to allow this to happen, but I'm a garbage manager for doing so. Whatever.
So now I have to tell her that I need a better performance on the next badge swipe report, or it could lead to a warning. I've given three warnings in my entire life, and it was for very serious things. This is absurd. I told her that too.
She agreed and on one day of the week, she did that. Her work was affected.
So I got tired of this crap. I feel like I'm going crazy.
Finally, I went to my department head. A bold move, I know. I had my manager with me at first. In my field, non-major HR issues (violence, sexual harassment) going to the department head is not right.
But that was the solution. I presented my argument and the documentation of the past 6 months, as well as productivity reports on a monthly and weekly basis versus a daily basis. I showed them the estimated travel time on Google Maps. I brought everything I had.
You know what he said? "I'm surprised she lives more than an hour away. That automatically makes her a remote employee in our department."
Apparently, the rules changed during the pandemic, and HR didn't update their guidelines for our department.
But in the end, I got my employee to work remotely. That was a really good feeling.

Buenas tengo una incognita particular, hoy un compañero del laburo me cargo por una de mis fotos diciendome que “ beboteo” no sabia que era eso asi que le pregunte y me explico como sacar boca y hacerse el lindo. (Mi boca es considerablemente grande para ser blanco y hombre) y bueno la verdad es que yo no lo percibi asi ni mucho menos. Y nose si sera una cosa de envidia o que porq fotos como justamente esa son las que me responden minas, poniendome 😍 o cosas asi. Yo se que hagamos lo que hagamos siempre alguien nos va a criticar pero bueno.
