Just started learning 4 days ago. I have to say I like the app, it’s a good way to start. Kinda fun, and I know repetition is important but I find it weird what words the app focuses on. Maybe it’s just in the language I picked, Swedish, but right now it’s hammering down on niche hobbies like chess, sailing, camping. I’ve put those words in at least 10 times and will never forget them. But for instance, it has had me type in ”hur mår du?” Meaning “how are you?” Maybe twice since I started. And filler words like whatever the words are for things like “while, maybe, should, can,” like words you would use a lot, you see them occasionally but they aren’t repeated much and so when it does ask for them I have to look them up. I’m starting to write them down in a notebook to get my own repetition. But do people notice this in whatever languages they’re learning too?
And when the app reviews old words it’s always the same phrases. My sister is young. A mother. A father. A husband and a wife. I’ve finished 5 lessons and close to 200 words but it only reviews the same 5 sentences.
I’m only on lesson 6 so does it maybe focus on common phrases in later lessons?
Like I said I love the way the app initially teaches me words and phrases, works really well. It’s just, in my experience, it reviews the same 5 sentences and picks really weird niche words to repeat instead of common phrases. The point of this post is to ask if that ever changes once I’ve done more lessons. Thanks!

Ontem eu postei aqui que estava a procura de um Nintendo 3DS na Olx e poucas horas depois do meu post duas pessoas tentaram me dar um golpe lá 🤣
Basicamente eles queriam que eu enviasse um Pix por fora da plataforma e eles iriam me mandar o produto pelos Correios. A procura por esse console aumentou muito, consequentemente os golpistas já estão atentos a isso. Já vendo e compro na Olx a mais de 1 ano e nunca tinha passado por isso.
Quem gosta de comprar consoles usados, fiquem atentos a esse tipo de situação, nunca paguem nada fora da plataforma, o sistema já é estruturado para atender o que for necessário em relação a toda a transação. Seu dinheiro está seguro, o vendedor só recebe se o produto chegar na sua casa exatamente como estava no anúncio.
Enfim, só uma colocação pra deixar o pessoal de olhos abertos, mesmo sabendo que esse tipo de golpe é muito comum, mas muitas pessoas leigas acabam sendo enganadas.

How long do they need to stay in house A to avoid capital gains tax, or is it unavoidable?

2025.01.22 13:52 Mocuepaya I booked a trip to Pattaya with my fiancee... apparently this is a SE Asia hooker central??? How hard did I screw up guys
We've never been to Thailand and decided to go with a reputable travel agency on a holiday that indludes first a week of sightseeing around the country (we really liked the itenerary) and then a week on the beach in Pattaya (quick google image search looked awesome). Listen, I know I could have done a better research, but apparently I screwed up? And it's not only about the hookers that seem to be the main attraction here but the general vibe - my fiancee is a nature&animals person, I am a history&culture person. We're taking a backpack full of books about Thailand and Buddhism (well, 2 books actually, but you get the vibe). But partying? I'm in my 20s but I have never been to a nightclub my entire life, honestly the very idea of it terrifies me, and the idea of hooking up with a random woman terrifies me even more (seriously, nothing seems so scary for a vacation plan though I did numerous extreme sports during my travels). Apparently the beach is bad, nature polluted and partying is the main selling point here?
Guys, what now? Should I just book another hotel in another town (paying a lot more in the process as I would be effectively paying for 2 hotels) or are Pattaya's stereotypes misguided and harmful and it will be great?

I can't state how important food is in this game.
Becoming strong in elin is all about planning and daily actions.
Sure you can grind your way in dungeons, but you can also eat nutritious food while doing it.
Each dish will have stat bonuses on them, they can even increase the potential of your stats, so, increasing the maximum amount you can have of those. Seek food that helps with your build and upgrade the cooler asap (there's a yt video on it)
Also avoid trash foods. They will actually reduce your stats and or potential. Beware the diet

So our GR has never been a chatty one. He would moan and grunt with happiness for a few seconds when one of us would return from travel or even when his favourite extended family member would visit.
But for the last one month, he has been exceptionally vocal. Every morning he goes in these long spells of sounds, what can only be termed as a chat, because they are sustained and have a cadence to them. Sometimes, out of the blue he will get up, sit next to us and go in this extended chat.
Has anyone experienced this?
There is no other change in behaviour or any changes in his life. He has recently had his annual so we know there is no medical issue, and he has shown no sign of distress.
