Just curious—are spam/unknown calls a trigger for anyone else? My OCD makes me feel like I’m in trouble all the time, plus I’m always convinced that someone is hacking me so it’s the combo of ‘what if I did something terrible and forgot and someone is trying to contact me about it’/‘what if this is a targeted hack’ that really sends me spiralling. And because I’m so anxious I never ever pick up the phone but that almost makes it worse? Like yesterday I got a call from an unknown number and didn’t pick up, and it said that they were leaving a message but I never got one. Today I get a call from a number with no caller ID that only rings a couple of times and then stops. I know logically they’re probably two unrelated spam calls, but it’s the not knowing that kills me. I always search numbers into ‘who called me’ but the identifiable number had no results, so now I can’t stop thinking about it. Sorry for the ramble, just curious if this is a trigger for others!

Listen. I live in Michigan. I get the cold and I understand Frozen Heights because it mimics my backyard.
But if you are in a frozen tundra, wouldn’t you expect more than two snowballs every so often. Like the amount of snowballs I should get when digging should be up there with dirt.
Anyways. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on getting these icy balls?

2025.01.22 13:55 mschas John P Wheeler III Murder. Please help.
My step-father, Jack, was murdered on NYE 2010. His body was found in a landfill. He was beaten to death and thrown away like garbage. The first episode of the second volume of Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix is about the case. Unfortunately it hasn’t exposed his murderers, but we know that it was our neighbors in Old New Castle DE who hired people to kill him. I DEEPLY deeply regret not saying that in the episode (didn’t really think I could). I’m hoping that there may be people in the true crime community interested in trying to solve it, and if so, to point them in the right direction (i.e. to Frank and Regina Marini).
If anyone is interested in learning more about them generally, check out these articles about the people with whom Regina Marini had strong connections (Regina was Sherry Freebury’s driver and personal assistant)—they’re very familiar with the practice of murder for hire (with the help of New Castle law enforcement no less, though I don’t recall if that’s reported in either of these links).

I've had depression and thoughts and impulses of self-violence self-destruction since I was 12. I'm in my mid 30s now, and those feelings have come and gone a few times now, sometimes for years at a time. When I was saved, it went away for a full year, probably more. I hoped that was forever, but it wasn't. I've found temporary relief through prescribed ketamine treatment (alongside other medications prescribed), but that stuff is expensive and I hate the stigma. I want Jesus' love to be enough for me to want to live. And rationally, I do want to, because that's what he wants, and he's miraculously helped me go this far. I'm just not always rational. Sorry for bringing down the mood like this, I'm just in a particularly precarious situation right now (caretaking a sick parent (temporarily), in between permanent housing, have been in between on housing for a while now). I know my husband, church family and pastor (and Jesus of course) love me and want to support me, but I never feel I can tell anyone the truth of how bad it is. I hate to make people worry. I don't want to discourage them.

My son is 17mo and for the longest time he slept 13-13.5hrs on average. We moved to one nap at 12.5mo and at first his sleep was excellent. Then around about 14 or so months his sleep went down hill and has been getting worse ever since. It seemed his sleep needs dropped down to 12-12.5 rather quickly. Now, he’s sleeping even less (11-11.5). We are regularly getting sub 10h nights, new night wakes have started.
His mood and demeanor are totally fine during the day which has made me reluctant to believe he is overtired. I suppose at first when he started sleeping less there were a few days where he seemed a smidge crankier but overall he’s fine.
I’m sure the “legit” sleep consultants will tell me he is in an overtired loop or sleep debt. Some days i do believe it because the sleep just gets shorter and shorter. Please help!
Our most consistent schedule recently was wake at 6am (now a days he wakes 5-5:45 typically) nap 12-1:30/2 bedtime 8 (but lately it takes him 15ish min to fall asleep)

My doctor prescribed me propranolol which is a beta blocker. Has anyone used this before, how did it work for you and were there any negative side effects?
I've been using ldn for my brainfog and because of my sleeping problems my doctor told me to try propranolol.
