2025.02.02 06:19 SkillIsTooLow Found a lot of new/sealed supplies (cushions, frame, tubing, filters) for a score on Offerup. They arrived and reek of cigarettes :(
I asked before making the purchase if these were in a smoker's home, the seller said no. Got the package today and upon opening the box I could smell it straight away. Opened one of the cushions and held it near my face and it was nauseating.
Im asking the seller for a refund/return, hopefully they oblige so I don't have to escalate it to Offerup.
Just a word of caution to others trying to save money by buying from ebay/offerup, I guess you never know. Hopefully your seller will be honest about it when asked and you'll avoid this issue.
Such a bummer, my insurance doesn't cover DME so I was trying to not pay $150 for an airfit F20 setup for my new machine. After this experience though I'm not sure I'll be comfortable buying from offerup/ebay.

Over the past couple days her leaves have started to turn yellow, the bathroom she is in doesn’t get much sunlight but she was doing great over the last 2-3 months. Could it be that I have overwatered it? Or is it not getting enough sun? Maybe something else ? The pot has drainage holes and I’ve watered it I believe twice in the past 2 months as I was told they go into a dormant phase and needs to be watered less during those times. This has been bothering me for more than a month now. I've been on a few dates over the past few months, some ended well, some didn't. But in most of those cases, when I felt a genuine attraction and spark, I didn't really think about it or mind if they touched my arm or hand during the date. Personally, I've always asked for consent if I felt like touching my date's hand or arm but I've gotten fairly decent at working in the consent question without it feeling really awkward.
However, couple of months back I had a date where I wasn't feeling a real spark or genuine connection. It wasn't a horrible date but I just wasn't feeling it. She started touching my hand at one point and stopped, and then at another point she started touching my hand again. I told her she didn't have my consent to touch my hand and the date got very awkward at that point. We finished dinner and after we got up to head outside, she got angry at me for telling that to her during dinner. Just went our separate ways after that, but it's been bothering the hell out of me.
Why was it fine for her to touch me without my consent and then get upset about it when I called her out on it? Consent applies both ways as far as I'm concerned and I've always tried my best to be as respecful and courteous as possible. It's not like I yelled at her in the middle of dinner or anything - it was a fairly normal statement I made. Maybe I could have been a bit more "casual" about it I guess instead of so blunt. Just seems like a double standard to me. I'm fully aware of the long history of abuse and sexism that women have endured for centuries and I seriously sympathize, but I just don't get why what I did was so wrong. AITA here for calling her out? I wasn't in the mood to be touched.

2025.02.02 06:19 linksslut It’s true, your septum might just be crooked because it’s swollen.
I posted here a month ago when I first got my septum done because it was immediately extremely crooked. I was soooo upset. I had read that a lot of times they heal straight and are only crooked because they are swollen. I was so panicked, I thought no way, mine is OBVIOUSLY fucked up and crooked.
Well, here it is, still a tiiiiny bit crooked but NOTHING like it was when I first got it done. First picture is a few hours after getting it pierced, middle picture is 2 weeks healed and last photo is now, 4 weeks healed. I’m so happy it healed mostly straight now. If anyone finds themself in this position, just be patient. I almost took mine out and I’m sooo glad I didn’t. Wait it out and see what happens. I’m hopeful mine might even straighten out a little more but at least I actually like it now (and am so excited to put new jewelry in soon).
