Hey y’all. I am about a month sober. This is when I usually fail these days.
I have been seeing this girl for the past few weeks. And I really fell for her fast. And she fell for me too.
Yesterday i went over to her place to have dinner and she told me she spent the day before getting IVs and going to the sauna with her friend’s fiancee. I suddenly felt a twinge of jealousy and I kind of shut down.
See. This girl works as a dancer in a strip club. I don’t frequent strip clubs often, but have a long history with the profession. My ex-wife decided she loved stripping 5 years into our marriage, which was fun for a minute and then I didn’t really fit into the picture.
Then after my divorce I fell for a girl in Alaska who later told me “actually I’m a stripper.” I did my best to be good and cool and not let natural jealousies have any power or drive my actions.
I met this new girl at a strip club while I was drunk almost a year ago and then we ran into each other a month ago and went out. It’s been amazing. Like we are both exactly what the other has been looking for.
It has taken everything I have not to tell her I love her too soon. And we’ve both hinted at it. It is real.
But yesterday I felt the twinge of jealousy from her hanging out with a friend. These old thought patterns and mental gymnastics of why it didn’t bother me just got in my way and I couldn’t even communicate properly. I kind of shut down.
She did a great job of bringing me back at one point, but I left because I felt awkward and hoped I could reset. She asked me to come back, I said I don’t know how and I was sad and embarrassed. She said just to come back. So I did.
I was even more awkward, and shut down, and the way I was made her anxious, so I said I would leave, she agreed and we decided to talk later.
Now my heart hurts because i haven’t felt this way in a few years, and I have rolled the dice enough times now to know when something special comes up.
Idk if I just leave it be and give up on this, or if I try and make this work. She is not the other people who have hurt me. And she does seem different. And I truly feel love between us.
It makes me miss oblivion to feel this sad again, and not know what to do. I miss her already and it’s been 12 hours. Can’t eat. Can’t focus on work. I am just waiting until she wakes up this afternoon to talk again and feel what is right.
Dating is tricky, and I think I found someone really good. I’m standing in my own way and kind of sabotaged myself last night.
I always thought I messed things up because of alcohol. Turns out I can mess things up sober too.

Just on my I don’t know how many times now re-watch of the series, specifically the end of Pie-O-My. We got a new TV with a much sharper picture, and I noticed when Tony’s begrudgingly paying the Vet, that Gandolfini is literally drooling onto his jacket after he says “You bettah hope she’s gonna be alright.” Knowing what we know now about his struggles, you wonder if he was fucked up on set at times? I always thought he managed to keep the world’s separate.
Was season 4 the peak of his problems? I’m just curious, because this is way more than the standard Tony spittle spray.

Hi! I have a 16 wk old - he will technically be 4 mo in 2 weeks. He wakes up at 8am but I’m confused as to what his bedtime should be and last nap if I’m trying to get him to have 10hrs of awake time during the day. He normally sleeps about 3-3.5 hours of naps split into 4 or 5 naps depending on the day. Ww are usually around 2hrs. I know this is basic math but I’m so confused

My name is Rico, and I f*cking love this game! I’m also passionate about creating worlds and telling unique stories, and as an artist, I love bringing those ideas to life visually.
I’ve been thinking it would be amazing to create a custom scenario for this game. It’s a challenging task to tackle alone, but with a collaborative effort, it could be incredibly fun. I am putting together my taxes for 2024 and came across a question
If I am going to be writing off my mileage for the last year in lieu of my vehicle expenses (maintenance etc) am I also able to write off the cost of a rental car used for traveling?
I only had a rental for 10 days last year but I wasn't sure if I could write off the entire expense paid to said rental company or should I just claim the miles that were driven while renting the car
The miles come out to a significantly higher amount but wanted to confirm
