1. What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games (ex: resolution, FPS, settings) or programs you will be using.
- I want to game at 1440p resolution on maxed settings at 144fps on games like cyberpunk, rdr2, etc. I am not interested in using raytracing, but it's ok if it's an option.
2. What is your maximum PRE-TAX budget before rebates and shipping?
- 1800$
3. When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
- I want to build this in the next week.
4. What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ex: toweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
- I need the tower and all components inside.

2025.01.22 15:51 Glittering_Room994 Day at Disney Epix Gen2. Including rides/modes of travel.
 | Went to Disney a few days ago on vacation with the family. Obviously had to have my Epix record the whole thing out of curiosity. Maps above include rides (you can see some of ride routes) and modes of travel (mono rail, ferry, steam train lol). My previous experience with the tracking features is mainly camping and hiking but this was the longest I've left it on for and it did remarkably well, even tracked some of the roller coasters (look at space mountain, haunted house etc). I'm always amazed by the battery life in these watches. Weeklong vacation, 12hrs of GPS, swimming in ocean etc and I think I still had more than a week of battery life left. Grateful to be accepted to both programs. Tepper(~$70K) and NYU stern is offering no money. I would be almost $250K in debt if i go to stern.
I am an Indian, currently working as a SWE for a FAANG company in India.
My goal is to pivot into Product Manager at FAANG, but i am open to exploring Consulting in Tech as well. I have interacted with multiple people and alumni from both the schools, but the confusion keeps increasing with each interaction.
Some suggest that the Stern name will help me in the long term, and has a better pipeline for MBB consulting compared to tepper, and the location would offer me better opportunities to network and my interactions with stern students left me with a positive impression of the stern community, but i am not sure if all these are worth the high debt.
At tepper, the debt would be less but still considerable for an international, the pipeline for tech is better at Tepper compared to Stern, and consulting is mostly limited to Big4/T2.
Would the prestige and location really matter in the long term. and is the difference in opportunities between tepper and stern, so vastly different. I would very much like to join a school, that has better pipeline to both consulting and Tech, as i know that i can easily pivot to PM even if i go to consulting immediately after MBA. And I just have about 3 years of Full time experience by matriculation, so how difficult would it be to recruit for MBB, and where do i have better chance.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this

Chatgpt suggest me doing it with python. But, is there any other way? I know a software like audacity, but my browsing was fruitless. Maybe you guys from eng, physics, music dept has a way with it. The purpose is to make the recording result consistent in each mic

I know this is going to sound pathetic and I should just forget about it, but easier said than done. I’m going to Cabo next month and I am aware that no nicotine/ e cigs are allowed. I gave up cigarettes years ago and have been vaping for the last 10 years. I have read to just leave the vape and pods/juice in your pocket, because if you do get searched they only search your bags. Has anyone been recently and knows if this is the case? I’m really anxious about this. I hear they do sell vapes in Cabo and it would definitely be more ideal to just buy one there, but I’ve read that a lot of them don’t even have nicotine and are fake. I will be there for a little over a week, and as pathetic as it sounds, I really don’t want to be going through withdrawals on vacation.

I checked my account today in hopes to see my full paycheck and was greeted with like 30% of my actual pay. Here is what I think happened:
Our company uses Workday to process and handle time-off requests. The first two weeks of this year I took off. I used a culmination of PTO (sick and vacation days). I also used some remote weeks. However, an error must of occurred and for some reason it's saying the time I have been gone with unpaid sick leave for the last two Weeks. Which just isn't true. I actually, most importantly, worked the entire week last week. Not to mention all the days prior to that were PTO. I have the email receipts of Work via automated system approving the correct type of time requested which I feel is valid proof that this is not an error on my behalf. HR hasn't responded. But, I wanted to verify if I am in the right here and if HR in anyway attempts to refuse the rest of my check am I due for legal action?
My mistrust in HR stems from the fact that HR here has been egregiously horrible at resolving issues and responding on time, hence the fact that most of my check is missing and I worry their going to try and find a way to point the blame on me (perhaps it's my anger and anxiety)
5 things I know for certain: 1. All the time off benefits I used this month are PTO 2. I worked the entirety of last week. 3. My hours are automatically accounted for or adjusted based on time entered in Workday. 4. I earned more than what I made. (I was paid for 3 day worth vs 10 days worth of pay") 5. I'm upset.
