2025.01.22 18:10 Smooth_Flan_2660 Does life truly gets better?
I’m not sure if I’m welcomed here but I’m not sure where else to post this and I’m seeking life advice from older gay bros. I (25M) feel like I have reached rock bottom at life. I’m struggling in every aspect: financially, romantically, socially, etc. At least I’m healthy for now. I’m currently in grad school and had been struggling to pay for it. When I tough I had received a scholarship, it got taken away last week because of misunderstanding and no amount of back and forth will it bring it back. Now I have to figure out how to afford living expenses, tuition, while going to class everyday. I fought so hard last semester and I promised myself 2025 will be a better year but it’s starting off so poorly.
In addition I also feel so lonely. While I have the support of my family, they’re far away. I have a roommate but I don’t think he likes me or at least he doesn’t like spending time with me. One of my 2025 resolution was to invest more in my friendships but with my scholarship taken away, I feel myself sinking more and more into anxiety and depression. It’s a struggle to get off bed everyday and I don’t have the emotional bandwidth to even talk to people anymore.
The other day I had this kind of moment where I realized my life is shit. I don’t have it together and the more challenges arises, the more blurred my future looks like. I don’t know what to do or if I’m doing the right thing. To make things worse the current political climate in the US is so bleak. Everybody keeps telling me there’s light at the end of the tunnel but all my wondering is how bad things will get before it gets better? I’m so exhausted.

Hey, having some trouble uploading a tiktok video/carousel. I'm doing that like a prayer muppet trend, but keep getting unoriginal content strikes, but I've seen so many other creators do this trend... how are they getting past it??? Or not getting strikes???
It's removing my video from fyp feed and it's not "suitable" apparently and I apppeal and it says the same thing?
I've tried editing the picture, changing the colour or appearance but nothing seems to work?

50m, 5’8, 165lb.
We (me and my wife) are planning to use gestational carrier (surrogate). We have embryos created and found a potential GC. But the fertility clinic told the GC that there is potential/theoretical risk of HepB to the GC based on my HepB test result during egg retrieval/embryo creation time (and the GC decided to withdraw eventually).
So the clinic’s tests on HepB include these: Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (negative); Hepatitis B Core Total Ab (positive); Hep B Core Ab, IgM (negative). The positive Hepatitis B Core Total Ab indicates I might have past infection. However, what is missing in the clinic’s test report is Hepatitis B Surface Antibody which I have done a few times in the past (and result is negative, which means I am protected from the virus and won’t infect others).
So my question is does negative Hepatitis B Surface Antibody has any impact on whether there is potential/theoretical HepB risk to gestational carrier?

Hello! I'm seeking help/advice. I have a couple of quilts that are very sentimental to me, and the backing needs repaired/replaced. I'm thinking that to repair these two quilts--one made of squares that my blind great aunt who is no longer with us cut out while listening to audiobooks, and the other a gift from different relatives--the tops are in good condition, so mostly just I think I need to take the quilts apart, replace the batting, and then do something about the backs. Probably save as much of the original fabric that I can...maybe even just as decorative patches on a new backing.
I've never done this before so if I'm missing anything or if there is a better way to do this, please advise! Thank you!

I recently played 5 games (in swiftplay) in a row without a single normal game. The first one there was a smurf on the other team (lvl 5 account with average 13/3 on yasuo in real game). This is pretty much frequent (even thought it's still detestable).
Then, the 4 consecutive games, I didn't got a jungler above level 7 (account), they never bought the jungler item (and it was ezreal jungle once), they didn't participate : they were new players.
Now, the question I come across is : Why when people with low level in my team are new players but in the enemy team they are smurfs ?
And also, I do not consider me to be a terrible player, I have kind of good macro, I can play my champs correctly, etc... But, is there something, like I don't know, a rating that tells "this guy will play with new players" ?
Finaly, my final question is : Does the matchmaking think I play like a new player ? If so, why ?
