2025.01.22 18:13 Brospeh-Stalin Why is FL.more popular than Logic Pro, Ableton or Reaper for making trap beats?
Logic.is only on Mac but I mean it got a hell lotta features (Ocean uses it afaik).
Ableton is used by some YouTube producers for making beats but not many as far as I've seen.
And as far as Reaper goes, barely anything. I mean yes it does have an unlimited trial and paying for it means free updates but no one I've heard of talks about reaper.
It's al FL Studio (Busyworks Beats who's controversial, Simon Servida, Kyle Beats Shonci, ect.)
I did some thinking and all are VERY competent and well known daws but I've never really seen many trap producers on anything but FL.

So based on hundreds of posts here, I can imagine many dashers salivating when they see the peak pay pop-up and get ready to make some big bucks. If so, you have been assimilated into the DD algorithm collective.
In the past 3 weeks there have been more peak pay offers than the prior 6 months. Wonder why? It is not out of the benevolence of DD. They don't need to incentivize with peak pay when there are lots of good orders ready to be picked up. Only when there is crap getting cold.
There are just so many crappy orders at this time of the year that no one wants to take. What is the DD solution? Flood the zones with drivers using their own gas and other expenses to try to get in on this bonus peak pay! And yet, they then flock here complaining that they are in a hot zone with peak pay, and only getting crappy offers with little or no tips.
Yep, the customer side is slow, with mostly crappy orders. But DD solved this by making drivers swoop in to get peak pay and chew each other's arms off to "at least get something out of this" and try to cover their gas.

I (m 30) been dating my girlfriend (30 female) for 2 months. We love each other and have slept each other. We go out 2-3 times a week. We have similar values, family background, and have very similar common interest. We can be pretty open to each other about anything. We are both from US and live about 45 minutes from each other. The other day we were texting about politics for the first time. I am republican and she moderate. We agreed on most things but didn't go to deep as she said she isn't super passionate about politics or doesn't have views on everything. She said she is also open to hearing about the side and not judgmental. I am similar that I like to learn both sides and want to understand were she is coming from.
In the past I have made it a big deal with girls I've date that we have to align on politics. It's been important to me because I want to raise kids with similar views as parents. I have been relaxed with my girlfriend on values and politics but since the other day talking about, I feel bad that I brought it up and made it big deal. I am getting more comfortable with her views and that's not the issue. My concern is with myself and making it seem like I was questioning her and trying to find if there was something that we wouldn't align on. In the past I have dated girls who did that to me. They would either argue with me on my views or reject me. This not fair for me to do that to my girlfriend and I feel that's what I did. I want to chance what I did or make it up to her. When I talked to her on the phone yesterday I felt uneasy about myself. We are going out to dinner tonight and want to apologize to her or say I respect your views and would like to hear about them not in judgmental way. I understand it takes time to grow with each other's views. Any advice?

Hi everyone, I need your advice. Hereās a bit about me:
Iām 21 and completed my BSc in Statistics from Delhi University in 2023. Before that:
2018: Class X
2020: Class XII (PCMB)
After Class X, I initially chose commerce with maths but switched to science (PCMB) on a relativeās adviceāapparently, itās āsuperior.ā Truthfully, I had no real interest in either and just went with the flow, not even knowing what JEE or NEET was.
I wanted to pursue Chemistry (Hons) in college but didnāt get in, so I opted for Statistics based on its āscope.ā By the second year, I realized the course wasnāt for meāit was too math-heavy. I shifted my focus to defense exams, cleared the written tests but failed the SSBs. This cycle continued until January 2024, when I decided to pursue management exams.
I scored 90 percentile in CAT and XAT, but DILR sectionals held me back, so no IIM calls. Now, Iām preparing for the SBI Clerk exam, hoping to break the monotony.
The problem? I donāt feel a sense of purpose. I see people passionate about statistics, medicine, public health, or artistry, and I feel inadequate. A friend told me, āSome people find their purpose early, others eventually.ā But Iām stuck wondering when āeventuallyā will happen for me.
To complicate things, I cleared SSC CPO and CDS/AFCAT last year but skipped the physical/SSB stages, thinking Iād focus solely on cracking a Tier 1 management college.
Now, Iām hereālost and looking for direction. How do I figure out what to do with my life? Any guidance would mean the world to me.
