I am writing a résumé. I want to specify that I started my education in 2009 and as of now I am at the 4th grade (in other words, still learning), so how should I specify that in résumé: 2009 - pr... In the second case we can say "When I graduated from university I aimed to have a career in the financial sector"; "I set off early in the morning aiming to walk to York by nightfall"; "When I struck out I aimed to knock his hat off" or even "When I began to play the game I aimed to beat my brother's score by killing more aliens than he did". 2) We had our kitchen redone and still have some savings in hand = still left (didn't spend all of them). 3) The troops entered the village to take the situation in hand = to take it under control/to reign it in. 4) The matter in hand should be smoothed over with senior managers = the matter that is now being settled/the present issue that worries somebody. So if we consider "look forward to" to mean "anxiously await", then we can rewrite the phrase as: "I anxiously await your visit", vs "I am Anxiously awaiting your visit". So in this case, "look" and "await" are the verb, and "forward" and "anxiously" are the adverbs. So it's sort of a active/passive thing. "I am" versus "I". We use the continuous aspect of tenses for actions which we think are: • unfinished or in progress: I've been doing my homework. (it isn't finished yet) • temporary: I've been living in England for six months. I've been working as an au pair. (I think I will leave England one day- my job is temporary) When I hear "I'm well" all the time I feel like saying, "we're not all in a hospital here inquiring about everybody's health everyday", the greeting "How are you?" means "how are things going in general" and the response "I'm well" brings the subject back to "personal health matters". What people mean to say is: "Things are going well." You can certainly say . . . it's not OK to not learn from them.However, bear in mind that there are still people around who mistakenly believe that such a construction is a split infinitive and should be avoided. You can definitely say "I haven't slept since Monday" to avoid the "got-gotten" problem. The other two expressions are not wrong, but readers may have different opinions on the usage, depending on what they are used to (their backgrounds). Some expressions with "We remain" at the end of the sentence : Hoping to receive the goods without delay, I am, Respectfully, WILLIAM L. MILLER. Hoping that my order may receive your usual prompt attention, I am, Yours respectfully, HENRY M. BARROWS. Hoping that the goods may prove satisfactory, and that we may be favored with further orders ... We could say we had our copy replaced five years ago, and today it looks worn out. We could say we just have had our copy replaced, and the book is as good as new. To use grammar labels, "I have had the book replaced" is the Causative in the Perfect Aspect, in the Present; "I had the book replaced" is the Causative in the Simple Aspect, in the Past.

Hope this is allowed! I ordered a custom Happy Planner mini cover from Naya Paperie but immediately upon opening the package I sadly enough saw it is not for me. Would anyone like to buy it from me? I am in Europe so shipping is cheapest within the EU.
The inside and outside is in their Dark Leopard leather, with a custom full-width back pocket and gold button closure. I paid €102 excl shipping.
My HP mini is pretty compact with the smallest rings, and this planner has room for a thick planner. It feels way too big on mine, both around the rings and at the clasp. It would fit better with bigger rings or a thicker planner I think. I also realised I much prefer the stiffer covers (eg Moterm) over these really soft floppy ones. Especially the back pocket is very loose and soft.

2025.01.22 20:03 BirdsWithScales Diagnosed with chronic EBV and told there's nothing I can do- should I get a second opinion?

I've been stalking this reddit ever since my dr brought up CAEBV (scary!). They referred me to an oncology office where, after review of my bloodwork, diagnosed me with chronic EBV and told me that I'm essentially going to have to deal with the fatigue and whatever else this disease brings. Honestly, id be fine with that if "whatever else" didn't include this chronic cough! I get sick from anything and suddenly I'm coughing till my lungs are quite literally sore for 2 to 4 weeks. It's ruining my life- dishes pile up and I dont leave the house for days, and i've failed classes several times because of it now. Genuinely, I do not know how I can have any semblance of a life with this virus. I've been struggling with it for years. Is that seriously all EBV? could the illnesses that last forever or the cough be something else? Thanks in advance.

So the basic idea is that a ruler kingdom is trying to bring peace sense he believes there will always be consistent wars if violent nature are still in humanity one day he finds a ancient artifact that allows him to travel around through time however he misuses it to try and fix the mistakes of the past without considering the consequences
This would be essentially trying to fix the timelines of past fire emblem games by going back to famous battles and events throughout the games
