This is for all the little spot fires and whatnots that are getting started due to the local conditions this week. Yes, there's still a Santa Ana happening in the east county and we're still in a high risk fire danger.
New fires are being ignited and we'll track these through the day in the comments below. We're asking that people post in the comments and discussion in the comments here vs creating new posts, these have gotten excessive in the sub and only provide positive feedback to the arsonists the crave a sense of power and how they can affect others without empathy. Like with school shootings in the national media, we really have to kinda be mindful of striking a balance and not encourage more copy cats by feeding into their sick minds while still helping people.
We'll change and update things as we go along but right now. Everyone be aware and keep and eye out so that things get reported early and fire crews can do their jobs. Of course if you see something suspicious record it and get the police.
Good News: • Basically all the fires from Monday and Tuesday are out and evacs lifted for all residents (it's just mopping up for crews). • We will be having rainfall (finally!) this weekend and that will put an end to this and the start of the rainy season which running late again and we NEED the rainfall. ______________

Partner of Dx/Rx
We’ve been together for many years. I would like advice because my partner has periods of time where he barely touches me, doesn’t kiss me, and doesn’t say “I love you”.
We’re in one of these right now. I will reach out and hug, kiss, say “I love you” and barely receive anything back. It makes me stop because I’m not getting any loving feelings from him. I’m craving more these days, but nothing.
We’ve had this happen before, and his excuse is that he’s so busy with work and stressed out, and there’s so much to do around the house… basically the message I get is that it’s too much work to be loving. I am disabled and the holidays took a toll on me, so I can’t do everything that needs to be done.
What is there to be done? Any suggestions?

My wife and I have been stuck all day in Miami. I understand the weather in Atlanta is causing issues. I also understand the need to delay, change and even cancel flights. However the communications and planning on the Delta side has been very disappointing today. Delta use to be a rock star at this, however I think their star is loosing a lot of shine.
Non stop revisions to our schedule. All of American flights to Atlanta have left with minimal delay. Had we been given better information I could had bought an American flight earlier in the day and I would be home by now
Frustrating!

Hey all,
Recently I was pulled over going 73 in a 45 on LaGrange getting off I-55 and was given a citation for 26-34 MPH over. It was reckless of me and should've really watched what I was doing before I decided to drive that fast, no excuses. I had a speeding ticket back in 2019 for 10 over on the way to college but that was settled with a fine but other than that a relatively clean record. For this recent one, since its a higher severity of crime it comes with a court date and its 2 weeks out over in Bridgeview. I've done research and have already hired a lawyer who is experienced in criminal defense and is familiar with the courthouse (office is 3-5 mins from the courthouse). I don't expect that it'll get dismissed as I have no reason to refute the evidence but wanted to see if there is a likelihood of it getting reduced to at least remove the misdemeanor off the record. I currently hold a career in aviation and instruct at a flight school and in no means am I trying to defend myself but it would really impact my hiring chances at the airlines (I know, should've really thought about that before driving at that speed). I'm also aware of the punishments that are associated with the misdemeanor.
After a 2 minute phone call with the lawyer, he asked me what the charge was for and when it was and told me that he will be there during the date of the pretrial (if that is what it is) and he will talk to the prosecutor to get court supervision and an online 4 hour driving program. Even though that's what he told me, I have mixed answers from people who have dealt with this certain situation. I understand that its typically a case by case situation but what could I potentially expect? I also do plan to wear a suit even though surprisingly people don't respect courthouses enough to at least look formal. (Surprised me when I heard about this)
(I've posted this on another sub-reddit only to be scrutinized heavily, I understand what I did and I'm only looking for advice and experiences. I'm not a habitual speeder by any means. I'm open to sharing my experience whenever its resolved to whoever gets in a similar situations in the future.)

Hello, I've bought a electric guitar recently and im a total noob. One of my friends suggested i save money and buy an audio interface. My problem is that when the audio interface gets the dry signal, the high e string doesn't ring out properly and gets cut off for some reason but the lower strings don't and ring out perfectly. What could be the problem? And the thing is my audio interface output indicator has sound when i pick my high e but just the sound gets cut off. Ive tested this with a amp sim and get the same results but a little less.
