I love using Green Airport when I can, but service has been hit or miss over the years. I had been using United frequently and connecting through either Chicago or Newark and from there basically to anywhere in the world, but I recently learned United is stopping its flight to Newark on March 29, 2025. This is after they also cancelled the Chicago flight last fall. United will instead funnel all PVD passengers through Dulles in DC it seems.
Is there anyone who travels frequently whether for business or not with recommendations as to what airline to patronize? I guess I'm left with Delta or American for the big three carriers. Which is better overall lately?

2025.01.22 19:49 Ayrios440 Started reading the Hobbit. I'm not enjoying the little links to real-world stuff.
I've always wanted to read The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and I'm around half way through the Hobbit.
I'm really not enjoying parts like where they explain the group are walking along the mountains and mountain giants are throwing boulders and something something this is how the sport football as we know it, came to be.
Or where the group are surrounded by wargs and goblins and Bilbo says something like "we escaped goblins only to be eaten by wargs" which then Tolkien goes on to say this is come to be the phrase we know today as "out of the frying pan, and into the fire".
Both of these parts made me cringe a little because I just want my fantasy to remain fantasy and not be linked to me being sat on my sofa in the real world with things like mortgages and food shopping.
Maybe I'm alone on this? I am absolutely enjoying it so far, despite these things.
..Except for the singing. Dear lord the singing is endless. Everybody and everyone sings, and they all seem to know the words to these songs despite them being for very incredibly niche situations.
Is the trilogy like this too, or was all of the above simply because the Hobbit was intended for younger minds at first?

how are you managing sleep? I prioritise sleep a lot & I have been sleeping 8-9 hrs everyday ( no fixed schedule) but it’s not such a sustainable and convenient thing to get so much sleep daily. If I sleep 6-7 hrs, I don’t feel fresh but 8 to 9 is a lot of time. Anything that you have tried that has worked well for you to maintain healthy sleep cycle?

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do if PSPCA and ACCT have not yet responded about animal neglect? I don't want to call the police, but the low today is 12-degrees and the high today is 20-degrees - I have two neighbors who routinely leave their dogs in the cold (on top of a cleanliness issue). I have been reporting them since the summer when it was over 95-degrees. They leave their dogs outside every single day, never clean up waste - It's plain neglect on top of being unsanitary. I typically call to make a complaint when the weather reaches extreme temperatures (over 95 in the summer and below 20 in the winter), I'll also call when it's snowing / sleeting or raining because these dogs are never taken inside.
I feel so bad for these animals because they live their whole lives outside on a concrete patio. After 6-8 months should I give up and call the police? Will that even help? There is a statute regarding animal abuse in the state law...I know there are other pressing issues the city is dealing with, but it's hard to witness this everyday without taking any action.
Any other suggestions are appreciated. The owners may have already been fined by ACCT Philly, but unfortunately there has been no behavior change.

I need photoshop, resolve and other stuff to do my work, is this shit going to do that the whole time?! It's anti-cheat is just guessing based on app name? Stupid. Does anyone else know if it kicks when you have other creative cloud apps open? What about Davinci resolve? This is so frustrating. It was my first infill, so I didn't lose anything of value, but I'd rather quit than have to close everything, I need to be able to work on stuff between rounds.
