2025.01.22 22:23 Sparklez02 Currently Diamond 2. How far can I climb this season?
Became a Namor OTP at the end of season 0 where I finished at Diamond 2 (reset to Gold 3). Probably could have climbed a bit more but played on my alt quite a bit so I could play with a friend. Currently sitting at 63% WR overall this season with 66.4% WR on Namor. I pretty much only play something else if I am forced onto it. I am by far much better at duelist than vanguard or strategist. Profile is public so to all you higher skilled players or anyone else, always open to criticism.

2025.01.22 22:23 NickKnackOnTheBeat Commuter cyclists, what kind of bike do you prefer for your commute?
I have a hybrid bike that I was using as a road bike (endurance rides), but I just upgraded to a nicer road bike. I also have a mountain bike. I’m interested in starting to bike to work, and unsure which bike would make the most sense (I currently drive). I’m debating if I want to keep the hybrid bike for the commute or sell it. I may test out doing it on all of my bikes, but was curious if other people had good input.
It’s about a 10 mile ride, 250ft elevation change with a “steep hill” (according to maps). Where I would park my bike is relatively safe, and I could maybe inquire if there are bike lockers available (I’m not very hopeful on this front).
The mountain bike is already set up to put my panniers on, though I could easily move the rack over to the hybrid or get a new one. I’m not keen on putting a rack on the road bike. I’m also not entirely sure that I need panniers, as I could fit a change of clothes and stuff I need for the day in a backpack, which I’d probably want to bring to work anyways.
If I ever don’t feel like biking home, I can hop on a train or bus with my bike.

2025.01.22 22:23 Myrsine Advice for Staining a Laser-Etched Wood Box
 | I am wanting to stain a box I got for a board game that has laser engraved patterns on it. I haven’t ever worked with wood stain before, the closest I have is some painting walls and furniture experience. I am just looking for any advice for how to approach this sort of project. The wood itself is very smooth, and a friend of mine said it wouldn’t accept stain like that. The wood is listed on the manufacturers site as a 6mm plywood, and I believe it is birch. If I rough up the surface with sand paper would that be enough to stain it? The laser etching isn’t particularly deep, and the surface is colored by the laser in some places, so my concern is that could remove the patterns. Would liquid sandpaper work for this project? It seems like it is more meant for painting. For applying the stain, I know rollers are probably out of the question for the engraved areas, but they seem like they could work for the inside of the box. I also have a mix of oil- and water-based stains (the colored stains I have are water-based). I know these can’t be mixed together as liquids, but can I use both on the same project (e.g., water-based on the engraved parts and oil-based on the rest), and what problems arise when using both on the same piece of wood? Would I need separate types of pre-stain conditioner for each? How can I approach getting a consistent finish between the two? Finally, I’d love any tips on sealing the box afterward to protect it and make the etchings pop! We know he likes lasagna. We know he likes to talk with his hands, and rumor has it, he has ties with the New York Mob. I wrote Jim Davis, inquiring about this, and he responded "forgetta bout it." Is it so bad for me to be curious on who the criminal underground is letting into their ranks? Maybe I want to join. I'm not super on board with the whole crime aspect, but I am supportive of legitimate business models.

I'm not talking about the kind where you apply a cold pack to a thrown out back either.

to explain im poor so I have my friends account logged in steam so I can play his games since he has like 100 ish more games than me like including all steam and rockstar games. Recently my friend decided to rage cheat and proceeded to get banned since I was logged in his account I GOT BANNED. There goes 328.9 hours of my life and 10$ of skins. At least they are doing something about cheaters :).

TL:DR have a player whose character has split personalities and is a barbarian. He changes between them after a long rest. He wants to have the personalities each have a different subclass. Should I let him?
Player is a variant human barbarian, but his backstory is that he's actually half human and half orc, but his druidic mother used magic to hold back his more violent orc nature and appearance. She died when he was a kid, and the magic began to fade over the years.
As the campaign went on, the more often character used rage ability the more he began to change and look more orcish, he also seemed to mature somewhat both physically and mentally over a short time. By lv5 he looked like a half orc and asked if he could switch races mechanically, I allowed it after asking in this group.
He has been doing a bit of praying to Tymora for various reasons over time and included it in his 5 month down time after hitting lv5. And during that time he started having a split personality kind of, each day he might act more like old human self, other days more like orcish self, and he's been role-playing this. He usually switches personalities after a long rest, or sometimes before if something greatly influences him like a tragic event.
Now he's lv8 (lv5 totem barbarian/lv3 fighter). He wants to be able to have his 2 personalities have different subclasses. One staying totem barbarian and the other becoming a zealot barbarian. The zealot is because of the stuff he's done regarding Tymora and her influence on him.
He's my best/most consistent role player so I'd like to reward him. Does this sound okay, or would it be too strong to let him do this? If he switches subclasses every long rest doesn't sound like it would be too strong, and I don't think I'll allow him to mechanically switch before a long rest, though I won't stop him from switch personalities for the role play aspect.

Ingredients: 2 cups almonds, finely chopped 1/4 cup dried cranberries, unsweetened 1/4 cup dried apricots, unsweetened, finely chopped 1/4 cup black olives, pitted and chopped 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped 1 teaspoon orange zest 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 16 ounces cream cheese, softened 8 ounces goat cheese, softened Directions:
In a dry pan over medium heat, lightly toast the chopped almonds until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes, then set aside to cool. In a mixing bowl, combine the toasted almonds, cranberries, apricots, olives, chives, orange zest, and black pepper. Blend the cream cheese and goat cheese together until smooth and fold in the nut and fruit mixture until evenly distributed. Lay a piece of plastic wrap on the counter and spoon the cheese mixture onto it, forming a rough log shape. Roll the plastic wrap around the cheese, shaping it into a tight log. Whenever I crouch, my game drops to 0fps for 3 seconds. When I stand up it does the same. I don’t understand why. Never use to. I just came back from a break with the game. My hardware is no issue. Game runs fine with everything I do even fighting and such.
