2025.01.22 23:14 USNDD-966 Perspective is Important
Sometimes I get to reading posts here and find myself overwhelmed by the amount of data and advice, thinking I must be a moron. Then I visit the AR Pistol sub and immediately remember that I am not a moron, I don’t have warrants for my arrest, and I am fully capable of proper grammar, punctuation and all is well…💪

So last night I woke up feeling really bad, then every time I fell back asleep I would wake up feeling worse. Then my chest started hurting super bad, I kinda realized it was indigestion symptoms with out the heart burn. So I fell back asleep the woke up 5 minutes later and my heart was racing super fast and I was sweating horribly I woke my girlfriend up as calming as possible and she was even concerned so I sat on the floor and my heart rate went super slow. Like probably to 40-50 bpm for about 6 seconds then started racing again.
I keep having these symptoms of my heart rate dropping when standing or bending over and it’s usually fallowed by tightness in my head and chest Can anyone relate?? I had a stress echo EKG Chest ct And I’m now on a 14 day monitor All test normal so far

2025.01.22 23:14 Dparamoshin New Gummy Plastic?
Anyone else noticed the new plastic marvel legends is using? I was messing around with my movie venom Marvel legends reissue, and I noticed how gummy the plastic is especially around the torso area and when I compared it to older marvel legends, and felt how hard the plastic used to be, even something like CT toys has better plastic. The new legends just feel cheap and like they won’t last like the older ones and with the fact that they’re bringing up the prices it’s just hard to keep collecting Marvel legends. The venom I have feels like the bootleg. Anymore else feel the same?

2025.01.22 23:14 QuirkyGamer907 Glinda and Elphaba
Why does everyone see them as friends? They’re not friends. The entire movie, Glinda bullied Elphaba, then finally after giving her a hat she hated, Glinda came to Elphabas aid PURELY for self interest because it was her way in with Morrible.
She doesn’t listen to her, doesn’t care about any of the same things, and actively discourages her from doing the right thing and who she is up until the very end. The ONLY good thing Glenda did for Elphaba that isn’t selfish was giving her the cape. Even at the end, the only reason Glinda ran after Elphaba was to try and get her to go back to the wizard so that GLENDA could be accepted by him.
It’s really messed up in my opinion to see Glenda as good in any way at all, much less Elphabas friend. Even Popular, “their friendship song” is ALL about Glenda and he putting on a show of being kind to look better.

2025.01.22 23:14 theEobardThawne Full Excellence PC Review
I spent a lot of time researching (here) and watching YouTube videos of where to go for my honeymoon, so I figured I'd give back and tell my experience with Excellence Punta Cana.
To start, we used the car service provided through the resort for transportation to and from the resort from the airport. Highly recommend. We did the black SUV option which after a 4 hour flight, was nice to have some leg room. The driving there is maniacal but we got where we needed lol. Trip was about 40/45 mins to the resort.
ARRIVAL: Arriving at the resort, they greeted us with champagne right at the front and had a bell boy assist in brining our bags to our room after we checked in with concierge. We did the excellence club level because it was our honeymoon and looking back, I feel like it was worth it simply for the better booze and specific concierge. It wasn't much of a difference price wise per night, so might as well imo.
ROOM: The room was nice, spacious, cool view from the balcony showing the edge of the resort and the ocean. There was a standalone bathtub that was in the "living room" part which was cool, only used it once tbh. One thing I didn't learn until our 4th day there was that there's a Chromecast on the TV that you can stream to. Otherwise, all the channels aren't in English. Which didn't matter too much because we didn't spend a lot of time in the room other than to get ready and sleep. The mini fridge is stocked with bottled water, soda, juice, and beer which we got restocked every day along with the house cleaning service - which is easy to ask for with their digital system where you just light up a button that shows outside the room. Very cool and convenient way to get bottled water at the ready all the time.
BEACH/POOL: We spent most days at the excellence club section of the beach and pools. The beach is quiet, which we liked, and there were plenty of beach beds to where we never had to fight or look hard for an opening. Guys come around asking if we needed drinks or food enough for us to where it wasn't overbeading at all. The pool we went to the most was the excellence club pool which is right by the courtyard of The Grill/Agave/Aroma and building 1. Very quiet there and nice pool to lay and relax in. We didn't venture the one day to the main pool which also had a swim up bar that you can navigate to, but we only did it once because I'd rather look at the ocean and have someone bring me drinks. On the beach section there will be a guy once in a while that has a big ass lizard or a macaw that you can take a picture with. I'm assuming he doesn't do it for free, so I pretended i was asleep every time he came by. There's also Red Hats that walk around to recruit you for an excursion, which I'll talk about after this. Usually a small convo and saying you're not interested does the trick to have them move along.
EXCURSION: This was an off-resort thing we did and im going to keep it VERY short. We booked with EC concierge to do snorkeling. Turned out to be 15 mins of actual snorkeling in one spot to look at sand and one pufferfish before we went to a party sandbar with 20+ other boats with loads of people bladting music and drinking. If we were told itd be a party boat, fine. But it was told as if it were snorkeling and I only saw my feet dangling in water. Asked the one 'guide' where the fish were and he said "there's too many boats, fish don't come here". Okay. Why are we here... It was $90 per person and a gentleman took pictures the whole boat trip then at the end offered the pictures to us for $70. Transportation was included, which on the way to the snorkeling made a pit stop at a World Mart, which is a tourist trap rest stop - without being told about it. Strange. If you like party boats, book it. If you want to do actual snorkeling, don't.
FOOD: Now a more important topic that I was worried about most when researching. The food. I work in fine dining and wasn't expecting anything to blow me away, so when something was really good it was a nice surprise. I can not stress enough, it's not american food - sourced or prepared. It's a different country and different than how we have things. That being said, the food overall was 8/10. There were far less times that I was disappointed with something than what I enjoyed. Best thing about an all-inclusive... Just order something else. Another thing we didn't realize until the 5th day, order everything. We were treating the trip like how we eat in America. Order an app, order an entree, get dessert. Dumb way to do it. The portions on some things were much smaller than expected. So we started doubling & tripling up on appetizers and getting 3 entrees between the two of us. We ate at every restaurant there during our trip, only one we didn't have dinner at was Lobster House, but we did breakfast there which was really good. We ate at the buffet, Kitchen Table, pretty much every morning except the one day. For a buffet, I was surprised how much I liked it. I prefered the eggs Benedict there over Magna because I could choose what meat I wanted since it was just egg & hollandaise on a soft bagel. We also did lunch there a few days. Here's a quick top 3 of the actual restaurants: 1. The Grill (steakhouse) - tenderloin was cooked perfectly. Would've skipped Agave the first night to go back here. 2. Spice (Asian) - the regular part of the restaurant, you do not need a reservation. You ONLY need a reservation for the hibachi which if you're interested, do it RIGHT when you check in with concierge when you first arrive or you won't get one. We did NOT do hibachi even though we made a reservation. We ate there by chance then cancelled the later reservation because we wanted to try every place. 3. Oregano - Italian place with good dinners, apps were small so order a few
Magna (excellence club) wasn't bad, I may have just ordered the wrong things. I got the foie gras appetizer which I eat back home all the time (tiny) and then the rib eye, which was fine. Nothing there made me wanna go back really. My wife enjoyed it more than I did. This is where room service clocks in as clutch, because I got cheese fingers (mozzarella sticks, but they're bricks lol), pizza, and chicken fingers later so I was happy. Neither of us had any stomach problems with any of the food at any point of our trip. Not something you need to worry about here honestly.
DRINKS: We spent the first few days drinking everything and everything before finding our staples for different parts of the day. The frozen drinks are the most consistent throughout the resort, while things like an Old Fashioned can vary from bar to bar. The first one I ordered had club soda in it (🤔) so I avoided ordering it until I got the best one at Oregano. I know people warn against frozen drinks because ice and the water there, but I had probably 3 dirty bananas every day on the beach and we never had an issue with stomach problems at all. We drank bottled water the whole time which is at excess at every bar, so the whole "don't drink the water" was never even a concern. My wife got basic and by the 3rd day was only drinking Tojitos (mojito with tequila instead of rum) and caipirinhas during beach/pool time. The best bar we had the most consistenty from was the Magna bar which has upgraded liquors for their drinks. Liquors the other bars don't have stocked. As far as ranking the bars, it's more so of finding the right bar tenders that make drinks how you like them.
TIPPING: Coming from the service industry, both of us, we over tip regularly so don't take what we did as the blueprint for what you should do. I saw something where the workers make equivalent of $400/month. So giving a little extra wasn't a big concern to us because we knew it went a longer way for them. As far as amounts: Per drink - $1 Breakfast at Kitchen Table - $5 to start, then we didn't the last two days because we were in & out quick and didn't spend enough time for refills or anything that needed assistance Snacks on the beach/poolside - $3/$5 depending how much food we got Dinner - $10-15 per meal, depending on service. We did give $20 to the gentleman at Spice because he was the best server in the whole resort. Room Service - $5 , they come to the room, bring the hot cart into the room and set it all up on the table for you. Bell Boy - we missed the opportunity to give him anything, but didn't really matter because we didn't see him again No one got snippy if we didn't leave anything or if they thought we didn't leave enough. Everyone was super friendly regardless of what we gave them.
That's all I can think of when it comes to a 'review'. If you have any questions feel free to ask, hope this helps you decide where to go for your trip!
