Hello! I am quite new to the PC gaming world and decided to pick up the 4080 pre built as a start to my journey. Only thing is that i got home (i live decently far from the costco) and noticed they forgot to add the cables :(( Can anybody who’s bought the prebuilt inform me on what type of cables are usually in the box?? Started profile on Hinge December 2nd
I M(25) met a woman F(21) back in December and she was truly special. We were talking for nine days before we swapped numbers and three days later went on a dinner date together. From there it was wonderful. Day in and day out texting, interested in what we do and just being comfortable with one another. Then the next weekend we saw each other again and that too was fun, arcade/mall/dinner all together for our second date. Plans for future dates and all were made. Then our third date arrived and it went down from there sadly.
Won't give much detail but it was down to being immature on her behalf and not feeling ready for a relationship with me and I suppose dating in general which was upsetting but understandable to me. I know I carry myself differently but I'm no more an adult than most people even when I am. Sadly though I couldn't sway those fears and concerns and we ended up separating on January 21st. So now I am searching once again for my person but it's ok. If I learned anything it's this.
Sometimes the person we thought was gonna be the one isn't the one. I know it can be tough especially when everything was going good and there wasn't anything wrong from either person. Just know that there's always something to gain from such experiences regardless of the heartbreak.
Although it's painful, I learned to keep my head up because I know the time was appreciated and it gave me experience that I myself did not have. If anything it'll make me better for the next person and so on.
So fellas just keep on riding into the sunset because there will be a sunrise in the morning waiting for you.
And for you lovely ladies just keep being that sunrise because you'll find the fella who sees you as the bright star you are in his eyes.

I just upgraded my pc from an intel i5-9600k to an AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3d and I went to plug my display port 1.4 cable into my gpu and my monitor. But the monitor says displayport has no signal detected despite powering up my PC. I tried plugging in my laptop via display port 1.4 cable and it can work. Does that mean my GPU video output is broken?

Hi Charlotte! First I absolutely love your pages and am so happy to have found your reddit page.
For once I have an absolute doozy of a story for you. Involving my husband and his ex wife from hell.
To give you some back story I met my husband many years ago before he met dated and married his ex wife.
Back in June of 2023 I was getting ready to delete my dating profile off of Bumble when I ran across an old friend's profile, we will call him H. I personally had always had a crush on H and when finding his profile I decided to message him.
I was shocked to have found him on a dating site but that's not important to the story.
I decided while waiting for a response that I knew how to find him and just omit the dating site all together.
We started talking and that was the end of us both being single. What it was not was the end of the drama with his ex wife. They were divorced but due to circumstances still lived in the same house. (Mainly it was due to financial issues).
A few weeks after we started seeing each other H decided to move out to help his oldest son whom was struggling to pay his bills and take care of his infant son with his girlfriend. Upon H revealing he would be moving XFH (ex from Hades), who is also a narcissist, decided to pack up all of H's belongings and not allowing him to step foot back into a house that H had owned since before he met her.
H being the man and Marine that he was just gave the house to her in the divorce. I promise this is important.
Fast-forward to October 2024, we lost H's youngest son. XFH called, keep in mind H and I have already married a few months prior to this, screaming at H for not letting her know what happened with his youngest son. Saying she was close with him, etc. As a matter of fact she was told to not even show up to the funeral due to how my step son's mother would react to this woman.
XFH was verbally and mentally abusive to H's youngest son. Some examples, limiting what he was allowed to eat, yelling at him, grounding him when he would play video games or not do something when she said to do it, but the worst was making him clean the litter box with his bare hands when he didn't even have a car. She also wouldn't allow this animal loving tender hearted teenager to even interact with any of the pets in the home. Just an evil woman for no good reason.
Fast-forward to just before Thanksgiving in November of 2024, we find out that she has not been paying the mortgage on the house she demanded in their divorce and is in danger for foreclosure. This house and the property is actually family property for H. His grandfather named the road on which the house is located. That's how far back the property goes in the family.
My husband, H, not wanting to lose family property, with discussion from me and agreement, decided to have a mortgage modification to save the house. Plus it worked in our favor as we needed a bigger house anyhow.
XFH was told in November that we would be taking the house back over and she needed to move her things out so that we could move in. She was given 30 days to move.
Keep in mind she has had 30 days. It's the week of Christmas. The Saturday before Christmas at that. We show up to start moving in. After paying a small fortune to have utilities turned back on and caught up to date on payments.
XFH decided to tell H that she has a Christmas party to attend on that Sunday and planned on staying at the house that Saturday night. The very same Saturday that we had told her we would be starting to move back in.
We arrive at the house just before her and see she has moved absolutely NOTHING out of the house. As a matter of fact her bed and all her furniture where still in the master bedroom.
She happened to show up while we were there. (I will forever laugh about the look on her face) Surprised to see us moving things in.
H tells her she needs to move her things out yet again. She has shown up without a vehicle to move any furniture etc.
XFH asks "can we just put my things in the dinning room for a couple of weeks until we can come back with a moving truck?" Now H being the man that he is said yes, but she needs to be back in a couple of weeks to move her things out.
We are now mid January her things are still in our dinning room in touched. Nothing of hers moved yet.
At which point H says I can now handle the situation involving XFH and her shit in our dinning room.
Something about me is I am Blount to the point and very firm when I want something done.
I text this woman telling her she needs to get her shit out of my house and I am sick of looking at it. Giving a deadline at which point after I am not longer responsible for what happens to her belongings.
XFH has her boy toy text back a threat basically. Forgetting who I am and who I am married to. Telling me that her father wouldn't appreciate my "sly" comments and that I should have learned my lesson when my bestie made me look stupid.
Upon learning what had transpired H just started maniacal laughing. Which I know what that means. His inner Marine is wanting to snap.
Now to keep her and her boy toy from having their feelings hurt further her dad is moving her shit out of my house. Along with the threat from her dad saying if she piddle farts around getting her shit from him then he will put it on a bon fire and burn it all.
I sit back and just laugh at the situation. All she had to do was come and get it. Remove it from my house. Now the count down is waiting to see if her father gets to have the bon fire her wants with all her shit😂

(sorry for bad english/explain) I have installed 3 corsair RS120 black fans no RGB i put 2 on my AIO and 1 on the back for exhaust ive my aio block has 2 fan headers coming off it (H100i V2) i plugged both the fans i put into the AIO into the block and then daisy chained one onto a fan i put into the block. Here is my problem, if i set my fans to 100% or the extreme preset in the corsair ICUE app my fans ramp up then i get the dissconect sound the lighting on my block resets to white i have it on blue and then the fans go to about 10% speed and then back up to full and then i get the disconnect sound again and they go back to slow and keeps it like that. But it all works fine on Balanced or Quiet preset. I wouldnt use the extreme preset anyway i just want everything to work.

I want to preface this post for context, I'm in my 20s and purchased land a few years ago through a landbank in my city for under $3000, about a smidge over a quarter acre. A home used to be there but was torn down probably a decade before I bought it.
I was young and naive a bit and had dreams of turning the land into a place where it would solely be a garden, a place for family and friends to come to and maybe own a small plot/garden bed and grow food. It is in a residential area. As years go by, I'm now educated on the task of the land. About 2/3rds of it is forested. The front half is clear where the house formerly was. I'm aware now of zoning and what not, and I don't believe I can just made it land for personal agriculture unless its a place of residence.
But if you were in my shoes, what would you do with this land? I don't have much money, thankfully paying taxes is a breeze, its usually under $75 a year for both city and county taxes. Land clearing so far in my research is very expensive.
I'm proud to be a landowner, I'm the only one in my generation of my family who owns any sort of land or a homeowner. I don't know if I should keep it, sell it, buy a mini house on it and then make it a homestead, or what. I know that this day and age, owning a home is extremely difficult and I have something of potential in my hands. Any advice would be great!

2025.01.22 23:12 Onyxx300 Mid-2014 13" MacBook Pro Windows problem
So I'm trying to take advantage of the Boot Camp stuff and run Windows 10 so I can play Sonic Adventure DX (my daily driver is an M1 Pro 16", so I can't use that). However, I noticed it gets stuck at the "getting devices ready" portion that happens after install and before setup. No matter which build of Windows 10 I install, I've even tried Windows 8.1, it just won't work. Does anyone know the cause? If it's any help, the laptop has a weird quirk where it won't cold boot if the charger is plugged in, but the Windows installer won't progress past the "Setup is starting" screen without the charger. Could that be related to its issue? If more info is needed, don't hesitate to leave a comment. Thanks for your time, and sorry for all the text.

So lately, I've been rewatching factory farm footage and crying. Even though I've seen the same footage long ago, I still cry to this day when I see it again.
A lot of the people I care about aren't vegan. One of them has seen the footage when they were younger and cried, but still isn't vegan. He even acknowledges that being an omnivore is selfish.
Another friend was reading a review (and liked the review) for Dominion written by someone who is apparently a vegan, who was, in my opinion, nit picking the language Dominion used instead of looking at the point of the message of Dominion.
"What about Inuit people who need to eat animals? Vegans care more about animal lives than Inuit lives."
"They shouldn't compare what happens to animals to the Holocaust".
Nitpicking of the specific words and comparisons instead of focusing on the fact that animals are being tortured and killed when we have no reason to.
And my friend brings up:
"What about people living in poverty?"
"Some cultures eat meat."
"But you do realise we need bees, without bees we will die." (Seriously?! Isn't the fact that we need bees even more of a reason to leave them alone and not artificially inseminate them and feed them sugar water which doesnt have the nutrients they require? Thatd be like saying "we need women because without women we will die, so let's artificially inseminate them and feed them food that isn't nutritionally adequate").
"I like eggs too much".
And on top of the horrendous torture and killing of animals by the trillions, we have yet ANOTHER disease spreading due to how we treat innocent animals. The bird flu is spreading to humans in the USA.
Have we not learned from mad cow disease? Swine flu? As for Covid, we arent really sure about its origin but likely came from food markets.
Honestly, when I watch animal farm footage, I feel anger towards the people I care about, which is horrible. But they are creating demand for this. For the torture, killing and spreading of diseases. They are funding what I am very much against. One of my friends is going to wait for lab grown meat, but that isn't enough. For every non vegan meal he buys, another "vote" will be made for more torture. And they are trying to ban lab grown meat in some states in the USA.
It is not only angering, but sadenning and sickening, too. The animals did nothing wrong. They committed the "crime" of being born.

I am one of three brothers and as I've gotten older, I've felt more and more that my childhood would've been more fun and I would be more socially well-adjusted if I had a sister. It's a feeling that I can't describe well and one I get in a more abstract sense. The closest thing to a sister I have is my cousin who's basically another blood sibling to me, but she lives on a different continent so I only see her every 2-3 years.
I must say that I love my brothers to death and wouldn't change anything about them, but still I wish I had a sister along with my brothers.
