Does anyone have any suggestions on the best rhythmic loops or virtual instruments for action cues? Specifically something that sounds similar to the rhythmic elements in this piece from "Daredevil":

80k miles never had a issue until car was shaking and lights came on. towed to dealership who said it was spark plugs- tried to charge me $795 for just spark plugs…. (Insane) So I towed it to a different Subaru dealership whose spark plugs were $444 but they suspected something else be the issue so convinced me to do a 27 pt inspection. They determined it a valve spring issue. Tech notes - performed cylinder 4 leak test and it came out with 100% leaking which means no compression, motor needs to come out need to pull valve cover off and cam carriers need to find out why cylinder 4 has no compression.
They want to take the engine out to determine the issue & total is 2k not including parts after they take the engine out.. Car is paid off. Advice please 😭

I hate voice calls, and I'm not even a young person, I'm pushing 50.
I hate them so much for the following reasons versus something like email:
- Both of us have to completely stop whatever we are doing at the same time to go through the voice call interaction.
- Email, both parties can read as soon as they are able, likely will be at different times, depending what they're doing.
- Both of us will have no record of the conversation other than our interpreted recollections.
- Email, both can go back to the entire conversation at any point in the future.
- Any difficulties with understanding spoken language will have to be dealt with on the fly.
- Written word does not have accents or other difficulties causing problems with comprehension. If you are a slow reader, no problem.
- Any time to think about what is being said will have to be done by both at the same time.
- If you are reading or responding, take your time.
- Some people are willing to say things they would never write.
It amazes me in 2025, how many businesses and people in general still opt to call, call, call, for everything, when just about everything about it is worse, other than if you want to get away with something shady or you don't like using a computer (typing).

After UCL interviews have been rolling out, I have realised there is a MASSIVE, split in individual performance of what they perceived. Some felt they did amazing while others felt they flopped. Like the UCAT, im guessing, station questions are randomly taken out of a bank with no weighted difficulty assigned i.e. you could get all hard stations. Some people may get hard or easy stations which is unfair? is the interview score marked by your cohort of people who did the same questions as you or everyone who did an interview.

My wife and I are huge eagles fans. A few weeks ago I asked my wife how she’d feel about hosting some of my friends and their wives at our place to come over for some food and watch the Eagles play the rams. She said, yes, since she loves to cook/host, and she also loves football. She grew up in a very big football family and had five brothers growing up, so she honestly might even be a bigger fan than I am, so she was more than happy to do it.
She finished cooking her lasagna right before kickoff, and called everyone over into the kitchen to dish up. After everyone got their food all the men went to go sit in front of the tv to watch the game while the other women gathered in the kitchen to gossip as most of the other wives are not interested in football. My wife, however, takes a seat next to me on the couch and starts watching the game with all the guys. I give her a look and nudge her, asking her if I can talk to her in private and she’s like “honey, can we do this later, the game just started and I want to watch it.”
I tell her it can’t wait and we go to the next room over. I tell her she should go to the kitchen to entertain the women, and that they should play cards against humanity or maybe play truth or dare or something like that. She then asked why, since I’m in the living room watching the game, and she said “it’s a football party, why can’t I watch the game, that’s the whole reason I wanted to host this in the first place.”
I explained that it’s pretty rude to leave half our guests unattended in the kitchen, but she pointed out that everyone was socializing in there and seemed to be content just drinking wine, eating, and gossiping, and said she doesn’t see why she needs to be in there with them just because she is a woman. I explained that in these situations it’s usually expected that the TV area is for the guys to watch the game, and that the wife hosting should try to entertain the other half of the guests, otherwise it is rude. She said she’d rather watch the game and walked out of the room, going back to the couch and ignored my request.
She was very cold to me for the rest of the night, and she’s still insisting that I was in the wrong here. I just wanted us to be good hosts to our guests. AITAH?

Can anyone tell me where to find a puzzle that I saw about 60 years ago? It set a scene in which two columns (D and F) each of 4 black pawns represented two piles of ebony wood in a warehouse owned by the leader of a gang. The text referred to a different gang in Chicago that wanted to assassinate the other gang leader. The modus operandi was to force the target to build a coffin of ebony wood around himself, after which Harry the Horse would shoot him. The chess solution involved white (with lots of pieces) forcing the opposing king between the columns of pawns, sacrificing all white pieces except one knight to surround the king with pawns, and then delivering checkmate with the remaining knight. This was a wonderful puzzle, although in retrospect perhaps it was politically incorrect. If anyone knows where this puzzle can be found, please post it. If not, can anyone resurrect it from scratch? Thank you.

I’ve been pouring concrete for 20 years. I can handle a lot on my own so I usually work by myself or bring out a few people when I have to. Someone I work for is pushing me toward the larger jobs. This particular slab is about 300 cubic yards. My biggest pour was 40 yards and I did it comfortably with two other experienced guys and a trowel machine. But this is a new world for me. So, my questions… I ballparked it at $6/sq. They are happy with that. But I told them I have to have plans in hand and I have to survey the land to give them something more accurate. Is $6 reasonable with something that large? Also, I figure I can tackle the pour with a crew of 20 people with two ride-on trowel machines. Am I nuts? Does anyone know what this should look like?
