I found a Chrysler 300S that went up today for $12,000. It has 106,500 miles on it. This is the cheapest one I’ve found with the miles, interior, ETC. Includes new tires shocks and struts. Was just curious if I could talk them down to $11000-11500 if it would be worth it. Thanks everyone!

Scanlon officially joins mayor's race in Buffalo
In a move that has been anticipated for months, Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon has made official his bid to keep the office he now occupies.
Scanlon, a three-term member of the Buffalo Common Council, was voted president of that body in the beginning of 2024. He became acting mayor upon the resignation of former Mayor Byron Brown in mid-October. While Scanlon has been fundraising and holding political events for several months, he had declined to say whether he was running to replace Brown, who was the longest-serving mayor in Buffalo history.
Wednesday night Scanlon put an end to the speculation, announcing his run in the city’s Old First Ward neighborhood.
The neighborhood, long identified with the story of Buffalo’s Irish immigrants and their descendants, is where Scanlon’s father, John “Scanoots” Scanlon, was raised. The elder Scanlon was a top adviser to Buffalo’s second longest-tenured mayor, the late James D. Griffin.
Scanlon the mayoral candidate, whose father died in 2022, said it was important to him to honor his dad in the announcement of his campaign, in an interview with The News.
To that end, Scanlon announced his candidacy at the Barrel Factory restaurant on Vandalia Street, a building with direct ties to the region’s industrial past.
“It’s no coincidence where I’m making that announcement, at the Barrel Factory in the Old First Ward where my father grew up, where black barrels were built that were shipped throughout the canal system and filled with grain,” Scanlon said. “My father was one of those scoopers who filled those boats and filled those barrels with grain that helped contribute to the Buffalo economy, and the economy at large across the United States.”
Scanlon joins a crowded field that includes six other candidates − State Sen. Sean Ryan, former fire commissioner Garnell Whitfield, University District Council Member Rasheed Wyatt, former city court judge James McLeod, educator and activist James Payne and activist Michael Gainer.
Activist Terry Robinson and former School Board member Terrance Heard have expressed interest in the endorsement of the Erie County Democrats, but have yet to publicly announce their intention to run.
Scanlon is in the unique position of campaigning for the office while also occupying it, despite never winning a citywide election. He stepped into the role with the city facing a steep deficit and will have to work to resolve issues through hard decisions that likely involve spending cuts, layoffs and tax increases. While other candidates can discuss the city’s options going forward he will have to show citizens how he plans to address the shortfalls in presenting a budget to the Common Council in April.
“I’ve been very upfront about that since day one,” he said. “I’ve made it very clear to the public that we are not hiding from it, but we’re embracing it and using it as an opportunity to become more efficient, more cost effective and more innovative.”
The next mayor also will face the longstanding problems in the city of entrenched poverty, a housing affordability crisis that is affecting communities throughout the country, and neighborhoods deeply segregated by race and wealth.
Scanlon said he plans to build on existing relationships with community groups and other government agencies to work to fix those issues. In particular, he sees working with Buffalo Public Schools to provide students with expanded educational opportunities as a key to combatting those problems.
“We have to make sure that we’re providing for our children and making sure that they have an environment where they can come in and learn and be educated and improve their lot in life,” Scanlon said. “And we do that by making sure that we’re on the same page and working together.”
Scanlon also has had a busy beginning to the snow-clearing season, consistently a topic of complaint for Buffalo voters, especially in his often hard-hit South Council District.
He said he has been working with Department of Public Works’ leadership, and county and state governments to improve communication, create efficiency and better prepare for the ever-present threat of snow emergencies that loom during the winter months.
“That has led to a more uniform approach in response to snow events that we’ve been having,” Scanlon said. “And some of these have been rather sizable events and hitting different areas of the city. But we’ve been able to communicate better and make sure that we’re out there.”
Scanlon said he sees Buffalo on an upward trajectory and he hopes for an opportunity to lead the city on a continuation of that path.
“I envision a Buffalo that is cleaner, safer, more populated, with more housing opportunities and more economic opportunities for the residents of the City of Buffalo,” he said. “And I think that working together with our partners in the public sector, the private sector, the nonprofit sector, we’ll get there.”

2025.01.22 23:17 SOLARJOLT 2012 VW Touareg 3.6L Vacuum Leak
 | So the check engine light came on in my car this week and after checking the code, my dad and I concluded that the issue was a vacuum leak. However, in typical European car model builds, it’s supremely hard to check most of the vacuum lines due to many of them being in hard to reach places. We DID, however see something weird that we weren’t certain about, and it’s this box housing on the backside of the engine block next to the main air intake (see pictures). There’s this tiny hole which seems to have vacuum suction in it, and when we block it with a finger, the idle RPMs seem to briefly normalize. Is this hole supposed to be open as it is, or did something plugging it go missing? Or could it simply just be a vacuum hose that we haven’t found? Hi! I have a bachelors in an unrelated field and was advised by admissions to complete a diploma in science to gain entry to the masters in occupational therapy program. I received an offer for the diploma in science program (Feb start).
I’ll have to take some biology and psychology courses to meet the prerequisites for the masters. I was wondering what the admissions process for the graduate program is like? Do they mainly base admission on academics (aka grades)?
I just want to prevent completing the diploma and then still not being admitted into the program. Any insight would be greatly appreciated~ Thank you in advance!

 | I earned all three places of ribbons from each champ (in alphabetical order) as well all the ribbons from the reputation quests. Being a Level 23 rider and not even playing a year yet, I thought this would take forever. I saw others do this before and it took them years. The last ribbon I just won, Moorland Gold, I looked into finally the tack advantages as I was tired of players being much faster than my maxed out horses and high rider level. More embarrassing when they are much lower level than you. Higher is understandable but still annoying. I didn’t think they would make that much of a difference. I almost came in 2nd the first time out of roughly fifteen I tried with gear and was in first most of the race when I was predicted to come in forth based on the levels of horse/rider. I hit a hay bale and came in 8th. I switched servers to try again. This time I alternated between 2nd and 1st but mostly 2nd. As I was milliseconds away from the finish line I accepted defeat as I was still in 2nd. When I crossed the finish line I somehow finished first???? My jaw was on the floor. Minor warning: this has to do with intrusive thoughts and how I react to them, which may be unsettling. It does include mentions of many things, but it isn't specifically about them.
I'm an autistic man, and one of the worst things is how affected I am by basically everything, even if it is a discussion of fictional topics. I panic when I see someone say things that scare me (positive mentions of/defending incest, rape, zoo/pedo, or necrophilia because it's in fiction.) I know they aren't worse, nor better than me, but they scare me. I feel pathetic because they scare me. I have passive opinions about these things, but once people have an active discussion of it, I shatter. I feel sick, like I'm going to vomit. I break into disgust or fear, and because of what? I think it has to do with my strong sense of personal morals, and how that fucks me over. No one is at fault, but I feel that someone has to be. I hate the feeling that I'm wrong, either literally or morally. It is my personal fault, and I dislike it. I also think it has to do with my paraphilic OCD, and how scared it makes me that people sexualize the same thoughts that cause me so much stress. Again, it is my fault, and no one should have to care about my thoughts, it just scares me sometimes. I feel selfish and childish because of my fears.

I've never been too impressed by filtered pet fountains available online. too much plastic waste, too many individual parts to clean, costly to replace parts... I had the idea of making a unfiltered fish-less and chemical-less tank for my cat and small dog to drink from... I wonder if something like this would be feasible, if anyone has ever tried, or if anyone who has pets lets them drink from the tank. pets have really nasty mouths, I'm wondering how it would affect the ecosystem. there are a lot of factors.
I have no experience in aquascaping but have seen videos from other hobbyists. Just reaching my feelers out for thoughts from the community. it sounds like a fun little project to spend my time on and learn something new while reducing waste. thank you for reading!
