Hey UL hikers, We published an Appalachian Trail film today called "Made of Grit": https://youtu.be/Ml4XTEOyGQs
Along with two filmmakers, I flew to Millinocket, ME in fall 2024 to interview thru-hikers just before they summited Mt. Katahdin. We ended up interviewing over 30 hikers and capturing a lot of great stories.
We are considering doing more of these types of short films. They are quite the labors of love though (to say the least!). Would love any feedback you got :)

Hi all, I've recently noticed some problems with layering on TSW5, on the Brighton Mainline route in particular, layers from GWE both playable and AI don't appear in timetable mode as well as freight services. Also on the Frankfurt to Fulda route I have the BR 193 Vectron in flixtrain livery and services but do not have the original DB Red livery and freight services. I'm on PS4 Pro for reference. Any help would be appreciated.

Looking for a good dog groomer for my small dog. Not a complex breed or cut, and he’s been going regularly since he was a puppy so he’s pretty well behaved. I’d prefer a spot that will let me know when he’s done rather than a predetermined pickup, as he’s not a huge fan of kennels and I prefer to pick up rather than have him kenneled through pickup. I’ve seen a few in the area but am hoping for some additional insight! Appreciate it.

2025.01.22 23:18 ViperclayGames Cartilage Swelling??
So I got new cartilage piercings 5 days ago, and for the first four ish days they were great! They seemed to be healing quickly, and we're already stopping hurting. Then, the evening of the fourth night, I noticed my right piercing was a funny reddish color, and it was swelling a bit. Then I woke up this morning, and over half my ear was blown up and bright red.
I have been cleaning them with Saline, but the professional I asked reccomended switching to a peroxide/water mixture. The professional also said it didn't look like an infection really. Since then, the swelling has gone down a little, but not tons. Though it did stop hurting.
For bonus info, I did use a gun (I know that can be dangerous for cartilage, but it was the only option at the time.). This is also not my first piercing, at all, and I've never seen them swell like this on my at all, which is a little worrying. Any ideas or recommendations??
(TLDR: Cartilage piercing is swelling a lot, but professional didn't say it want an infection. Help??)

Went to an Utah program when I was 14 and have been thinking about it a lot lately. I don’t know if this is something people already talk about a lot but here’s what I have been in awe about…
United States is one of the most advanced and wealthy countries in the world. But parents willingly pay THOUSANDS of dollars for their kid to live in third world country conditions. If you been to wilderness than I’m sure you remember:
Walking miles for fresh water in the freezing cold Shoveling your peers shit Sleeping on the dirt Not seeing yourself in the mirror, or any civilization for months on end Starvation Frostbite Manual labor No communication with anything or anyone No medical treatment for injuries or sickness I could go on and on, but you get the point
this the type of thing people in poverty and suffering countries are FORCED to live in and would do anything for better life, but American parents literally pay huge amounts of $$$ for their children to live in? Just a weird thought, hopefully my explanation makes sense. It was hard to describe over text but hope you get what I’m saying it’s really weird

That's it. And you need them everywhere. You need one tucked under their chin and under your tit. You need another one resting over your shoulder so you don't have to untuck the tit cloth every time you want to burp. Anytime you place your baby on any surface you need one under their head. Then you also need a second one underneath that one because when you remove the one they just burped on, they will burp again.
