 | Hello my friends, a couple of weeks ago i sunk into the rabbit hole that is Linux on Desktop. I am somewhat experienced with SLES/RHEL on Servers, but Desktops give me some headaches currently. I settled on Ubuntu and after some testing, i choosed a plain KDE Plasma Desktop (not Kubuntu) as my Desktop of choice on Top of Ubuntu. However, i have some Problems with my Display-Setup. I have 1 1440p Monitor on the Right (DP-1) and one 1080p Monitor on the left (HDMI-0) To circumvent the inability of KDE to set 2 different fractional scalings on seperate Monitors in X11, i tried myself some randr options and was able to scale the HDMI down form 125% to 100% Everything is working fine, but on my 1080p Monitor the Background is only showing on the top left corner of the screen and is scaled down. So some time ago I met this girl, which eventually became my girlfriend. Everything happens quite fast, and on paper she's the most perfect girl I could ever wish for, and I truly fell in love instantly with her, but sadly due to her previous relationship she was not fully ready to start a new one so soon after her last one ending, even though she told me she was, but I could definitely tell that she wasn't, which hurt me so much because I didn't want to end things. I was very hesitant to end it all, but I know that in the state she was in that she could not fully truly love me, and also some other things that made me feel unattractive, which also made me feel pretty shit about myself, which of course was not her intention, but it still hurt it. I really wish things would have been different and I really hope one day I can find someone I can relate to so much again. I really hate all this shit.

I recently lost my old vehicle and have to rebuild my audio setup. When I first made my build I was a complete beginner, now I’m a slightly more knowledgeable but I originally went with an alpine r2-a60f amp to power some kicker kss6704 100w speakers. For this next build I want to focus on SQL whilst still being on a budget and found the D4S Jp 34ab amp. I know class AB amplifiers tend to have less THD than class D amplifiers which is why I was interested. I know D4S has their amp rated about 30w per channel at 4ohms more than the Alpine I have. I loved the sound of my Alpine but kinda want to go in a different direction. My overall question is: would the jp 34ab be an upgrade for my scenario or should I stick with the alpine I have. It should be noted that I’d be also selling the alpine and buying D4S so I’d be getting back about $100 by going with the JP amp. Also, I will be running different speakers, not the kickers again. But the speakers I’m looking at are rated about the same 125w @4ohms.

Honestamente me sentí un poco mal porque en conversaciones anteriores él me había expresado que quería tener hijos conmigo, su decisión me dejó un poco confusa pero lo acepté.
Por esas mismas fechas él me hablaba de vivir juntos pero en casa de su mamá y pues yo no estaba muy de acuerdo, sólo eran pláticas, no más. En ocasiones platicábamos sobre tener una ceremonia hasta que un día me dijo que él no quería casarse, eso me lastimó mucho, marcó un antes y un después en nuestra relación. Cada día que pasaba cedía más cosas en la relación y sentía que no me quedaba nada, hasta que le pedí que fuéramos a terapia de pareja. En terapia me di cuenta que tenemos metas diferentes y una de ellas es que él no quiere casarse ni formar un hogar. Es hijo único y lo tiene todo con su mamá. My dad had a secret family while I was growing up. We moved abroad, and it was during that time that my mom discovered he was married and had two other children. For over 15 years, I've known about my half-sisters, but I've chosen to respect my dad's timing and boundaries regarding this situation. He's not a perfect person and often tells me that he's waiting for the right moment to address it—likely when he passes away.
I want to build a relationship with my sisters and get to know them. I have been quietly following their journeys online; they are both doctors and seem like amazing women. It's difficult for me to watch them admire a dad whom they revere while my experience with him was quite different. To me, he was a shell of a person, lost during my upbringing.
I have no idea what elaborate lies my dad may have told to prevent them from questioning why he is abroad and not at home with them. Part of me worries that I might disrupt my sisters' peace or that they will be affected by the truth. Is it wrong to feel like they should know who our dad really is?
My dad keeps delaying conversations about this as much as possible, but I want to hold him accountable. Honestly, I don’t know what path to take from here. I love my dad, partly because I am the only person who knows everything that could potentially shatter multiple families' lives (he also has a girlfriend here), yet I still want to love him despite that.
Does anyone have any advice? Or can you share experiences if you went through something similar? Did it all work out? Was everyone a big happy family in the end? I know it might be a wishful thought, but I’m curious.
