2025.01.22 23:18 Blued00d Has anyone had clitoral stinging/aching type pains associated with this?
Dr said I most likely have GW and they want to do biopsy to be sure. Mine are very flat almost invisible. And a lot of them too. Spreading fast it seems. And I also have weird brown spot freckle type things that some look like warts, others are like sun spots old people get. Lots of pigment changes. We'll this dark dark part of skin at the top of my labia right where it meets the clit is a section that stayed the same shape, but is all brown??? Well it seems now the brown may be Spreading to my clitoral head. And the sun spot things have popped up on both sides of my clitoral hood. Now I am having at times stinging pain, or a deep ache that had made my leg spasm...it happens randomly and with stimulation if I get too turned on it hurts now. I'm fucking scared. This used to be intermittent for a couple weeks, I creasing in frequency, now it's been mostly all day. Side note-also lots of texture changes to the whole area- clit hood seems bigger than normal as well. Weird texture also seemed to spread with these other issues.
Tldr: pretty sure there's lots of flat gw that came with lots of hyperpigmentation sun spots. They spread to my clit area and pains slowly increased in frequency, stinging and ache pains with leg spasms, with and withiut stimulation for the past 2 weeks, has been consistent all day today.

Does anyone else here thinks that the purpose of Elon's nazi salute was to divert the negative attention of the conservatives and bring the discussion back to the culture war? Musk has had several bad episodes with the crowds who would be considered his political allies. Firstly, there was a popular conservative backlash against his position on H1B visas, which he handled by straight up censorship on his free speech platform. Secondly, he was exposed for account boosting in the gaming community. Elon ended up leaking private DMs to make a ridiculous accusation against someone respected.
If allowed to continue, Elon was facing deterioration of his public image, as people would inevitably start exploring his misdeeds and flaws of character (and there's a lot to explore). His gesture would spark a slew of accusations of being a Nazi, while plausible deniability would afford his fans enough room to defend him.
I won't believe that Musk doesn't know what a Nazi salute looks like, or that the resemblance is accidental. Neither do I think that he's an ideological Nazi. Nonetheless, I think that the responsible thing for conservative personalities (like Jordan Peterson) to do would be to denounce his gesture.

I feel horribly numb and detached emotionally. Funny enough, I (19F) am a psychology student. I'm on break right now, and I tend to become very numb and automatic when I'm not busy studying. During the semester, I usually feel a lot more in general. Right now, the disconnection is just too much, I feel worried for myself. My grandfather has been in the hospital for the past six days, still undiagnosed but most likely for dementia. My dad has been looking after him every single day, and things were looking up today, so he came home and left my aunt in charge, but while she was there, she received the news of the diagnosis and told my dad. He had a mental breakdown the second she told him. He started crying, screaming and sobbing like a child, and all I could do was stand back and go to my room. For some context, my parents and I don't have a particularly good relationship when it comes to emotions, and we've always been distant with that. So now, all I could do was hear him sob, unable to help him or feel anything at all other than guilt. I feel awful, even though my dad was not alone during his breakdown. My mom was with him and managed to help him and keep him stable Also, sorry if this is written weird, I'm still shaky and english isn't my first language. I would really appreciate some advice on this whole situation.

Hi, I (24F) am from the U.S., and I just finished my first year as a research associate for a behavioral health study relevant to my research interests- Unfortunately, the grant funding for my position also ended, so I am unemployed. I honestly do not know what to do with my time now other than my ongoing coursework, does anyone have any advice on what I could do until the application cycle opens up later this year? I just want to make sure I am using my time efficiently.
I have a B.S. in Psychology (Conferred 2022 GPA of 3.4) and am currently getting a graduate certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies (I will finish in August 2025, likely with a GPA of 4.0). I am really interested in clinically applicable research, especially as it pertains to interpersonal relationships, family dynamics, the impact on wellness etc., but I have a hard time picturing myself as a clinician. I really want a career in research and academia because I believe science and education are the ways I can best support the clinical needs of people seeking health services from clinical and counseling psychologists.
I applied to a few PhD programs in social psychology and a few clinical psychology programs with an emphasis on health psychology. I really don’t think I will get any interviews, let alone acceptances, because I lacked application strategies that I didn’t know I needed. I didn’t apply to many schools, and the few programs that I was a great fit for asked me to wait another year when they might be accepting graduate students.
I don’t want to get a master’s degree because I can’t afford to go into debt for a master’s, even with the help of grants and assistantships. I am confident that my research skills are broad enough and relevant to the work I want to do. My recent GPA is enough to make me a qualified PhD applicant- Especially for PIs whose work aligns with my topic area of interest. But I won’t be a PhD student until Fall 2026 at the earliest.
What do I do for these next two(ish) years in the meantime? Apply for more research positions? Would these positions even want me if I already have a year of professional research experience?
I guess these questions are generated by a lot of genuine frustration at not being able to hear back from any of the 30+ research positions I've applied to in the past two months. Also, the devasting and evergrowing anxiety I have over not actively doing any research-related activity at the moment. Do I need to be more patient?
Please give me a reality check. I am spiraling a bit lol

As I've had some of my first few acceptances rolling in, I have gotten lots of offers from schools to attend "invite-only" visits to their schools. Some of the schools offered to finance a part of it (something like flight tickets +$500), though none of the schools I am particularly interested in have.
I would be interested in attending some of these events, but not for the $1000+ it might cost. Would it be rude for me to ask the schools to help me financially for these visits?
I haven't yet received my packages at most of these schools but I am Pell Grant, if that changes anything.
