Hello!
I’m in desperate need of assistance with orienting my office/media room. I’ve tried drafting it up in my head and on paper, but when I go to mount anything, I feel like it’s not jiving.
I plan to keep the setup basically the same, but am open to ideas. I’m gonna put my expected projects below and then some info about what all I have as decor for ideas for everyone to pitch what I should do.
Room is 10’x10’ for reference.
To-do: - Mount TV (65”) centered on its current wall. - replace entertainment center with 6 cube, horizontal “bookshelf” and place consoles on top. - hang two 30” live edge shelves (either on both sides of the couch or use them as anchor pieces on the big wall and spread art around them. - reorganize desk and potentially remove the top storage portion. - have multiple paintings/art pieces/mounted deer skull/antique banjo all hopefully to be hung.
Help needed: - does everything on the to-do list seem reasonable? Would you change anything/not do anything? - does the setup make sense as is? Would you swap positions of any furniture items?
Open to any and all ideas. Thank you in advance!!

9 years ago, my ex gave birth to our "daughter." We were very close and she always talked about me to her friends and my ex. She drew pictures of me and always run to me when I come home from work. I tried to ignore her looking nothing like me and my wife but I decided to check. I got the sad new or finding out she isn't my biological daughter. I cried. It hurt me. I tried to process it but I don't think I want to be in my daughter's life anymore. Every time I look at her, I think of another man. I do not want to invest my resources on a kid that's not mine. She needs to find her real father. I don't think I am a bad guy for abandoning her I mean it's my ex that caused this. She is at fault for hurting her not me. It's also a biological thing too. Male species tend to invest in their own offspring because the goal is to pass their genes. So it's literally in my DNA to be repulsed my this. Yes I will fern bsd for her but I am unable to raise her anymore.
My buddies thought of having me move the country to live with them and I start a new life. I did research and I still have to do monthly payments for a kid that's not mine
I haven't talked about this to anyone else, but I don't think I'll be a bad guy abandoning her. I'm a victim too

Last night was rough for her. She had stage 4 Metastatic breast that had spread everywhere, and had just come off 2 weeks whole brain radiation therapy.
She couldn't walk, could barely talk, but the plan was to get her to a place stable enough so she could get strong enough to fight. But it had spread all over. Her beautiful little body was just too damaged. I asked her every day if she still wanted to be here, and she said she did. So fighting on was the plan, at least until last night.
A year and a half of opioids were starting to fry her brain, and the lesions on her brain made her lose touch with reality. Last night I put her to bed early, gave her night time Dilaudid, but she was agitated, and pleaded with me to call an ambulance. She wasn't in pain, and I knew if I took her to the cancer center, she probably would never leave. It took me hours, all night, to calm her down, and I was finally get her to lay down, with me holding her,
I had one hour to sleep before I had to get up for work. When I woke up, my arm was around her chest, and she wasn't breathing. I called 911, but I knew she was already gone. Today has been a blur. Phone calls to family, employers, insurance companies. After a year and a half of taking care of her, tonight it's quiet in the small two bedroom apartment we shared. As hard as taking care of her, and walking hand in hand through the worst of this has been, I'd do it all again. In a minute. Only for you my love. Only for you. .

We just adopted a greyhound, he was in a home previous to us for about a year after he retired from racing but he never learned stairs. We are trying to teach him, he will go up the 3 stairs into our house and he will go halfway up our stairs to the second floor but stops at the landing and absolutely refuses to go any further. He jumps backwards when we try and help him up. We use high value treats. We really want him to sleep in our bedroom so he isn't alone at night and we have a nice rec room in the basement where we go to spend time together as a family so I'd love for him to join us.
Any tips appreciated!

How can you be sure your FWB maybe interested in more than just FWB? I don’t want to ask them bc I enjoy our current situation but I also can’t tell if they want more. Hi, I (31M) was diagnosed with HSV 1 genital herpes today. I was having pain when urinating and got tested for UTI/STIs. The results came back today, and I noticed sores for the first time today too even though I’d been having urinary pain for about a week.
I’m feeling very overwhelmed and am trying to read up on things. I understand this is common and it can be managed. I know that STIs are part of being sexually active, but this is the first STI I’ve had and it is incurable...I feel very down about it right now.
Based on the timing, I think I got it from someone who had oral cold sores occasionally but did not have a cold sore when we hooked up. Neither of us knew it was possible to transmit it without symptoms. But I understand that it is also possible it was lying dormant in my system for a while. But based on what I believe happened, I’m scared that I would end up transmitting it to a future partner even if I were asymptomatic. And I’m nervous when I think about navigating disclosure to future partners to begin with.
I am also out of town right now in a place I’ve never been before and don’t know anyone, and I can’t see my doctor about this until next week. It just all feels very intense right now.
Is there anything in particular that you wish you’d read or done when you first got diagnosed?

Tenho 17 anos (completo 18 ano que vem) e minha mãe está fazendo de rudo para que eu não saia da casa dela. Eu fui obrigada a viajar pra outra cidade onde eu tinha um emprego, não me deixa sair de casa sem companhia de alguém da confiança dela e esconde todos os meus documentos. Mesmo sabendo que eu não quero fazer faculdade, ela quer me obrigar a fazer na cidade vizinha para que eu continue morando. A casa dela e não tenha que trabalhar durante esse período. Eu já tô surtando, não sei mais o que fazer. Quanto mais eu tento, mais parece que ela me persegue oara que eu não possa transicionar. Isso tá sendo muito estressante pra mim que já não consigo mais focar nos estudos, projetos pessoais ou trabalho free-lancer. Não sei mais o que posso fazer além de abusar da sorte e tentar alugar uma casa em outra cidade ainda sem uma fonte de renda segura...
