At a crossroads: should I quit my job to invest and commit fully to my own business?
Hey all, I am 25 and I have been making my own art and YouTube videos for about 3 years. For background; I live in California where it’s pretty expensive to live. I also hope to move to San Francisco soon.
It started out small, but it gradually
grew and now I have a large following on social media for the artwork I do.
Last year, I made $60k from YouTube videos, $15k from TikTok, and about $15k online sales of my work.
This was while working a full-time job I’m sales. My W2 for last year at my job was 88k.
I am very fortunate that people like my art/craft this much.
I just started my own website for my art, and I’m also considering even adding some courses on there.
I think my earning potential would be high if I fully committed to my own business.
However, I know that my career in sales has just started, and if I keep grinding I could make much more money.
I think the biggest factors are that working for myself would provide me with a lot more free time to travel, make what I want and truly enjoy my life in my 20s.
I feel like I can’t do both, and based on my performance at my current company; I’m probably going to get fired soon.
Not to say that I could probably get another sales job in the future, but I fear that it would be hard for me to describe my resume gap if I quit my job and tried to pursue my own business.
Overall, I think if I really worked hard on my own I could cap out at like maybe $200k/year.
My sales career could probably earn me much more than that if I stick with it, but I would be working for others.

2025.01.23 03:33 Boring-Muffin9466 Asus router not getting full speed
So I recently upgraded to Frontier Fiber and got 5 gigs. At the same time, I also upgraded to the Rog Rapture GT Be96U Pro, which goes up to 10 gigs. So when I do a speed test through the router on the app, I am getting the full specs and even a little bit better. But say I do a test on my Xbox, it’s not even near what it is supposed to be at. Even hard-wired, it’s still the same speed. That’s using a Cat 6 cable. What’s even more weird is that when I first got this new Wi-Fi and hadn’t got me new router yet, my old router was putting out 2.5 gigs, which was its max speed (that’s why I upgraded). So I tried that router again, and now it also doesn’t get anywhere near the speeds that it should. I’m just not sure if it’s a frontier problem or a router problem. I have a feeling frontier is just gonna tell me that it’s not there problem since I’m not using there equipment.

The button on my onscreen keyboard that switches from letters to numbers "?123" is delayed more than every other button on the keyboard.
This only occurs on my new phone moto g84, and only in portrait mode.
It only registers the click once I let go of the button, unlike shift which activates upon the press.
Please help, it's awful and making me make mistakes when typing constantly.

I was listening to my basic, daily dissonance playlist, while thinking of something to read, and while scrobbling My Way - Frank Sinatra, i noticed how the lyrics match quite a lot in a lot of places, the connection and juxtaposition between the resonant harmony and then a sudden dissonance, with a resolving ending, it's not the first time that would be incorporated into the series, in my opinion, Ode to Joy worked super well, i think My Way would do as well.

Back in the day I had to be over 10 years old and go to czech republic on school trip to find out other countries have similar language. Fast forward, I did some small traveling and had to find out I can talk with slovakians, croatians and serbs. With bulgarians I could have few words we used to have fun. Not saying we have or should have the same culture coz its not and I know jack about shit in general. The only questions is, did some countries put more pressure on being slavic? Im mentioning only language here but the question is free for all.
Like my uneducated question here - why isnt whole slavic language group of countries more integrated?
