2025.01.23 04:00 Sea_Item3800 My mom acts drunk when she is tired. It really freaks me out and I don't know what do to Any advice?
I (16 female) and my mom (54 female) are super close. We are two peas in a pod. We laugh for hours and love the same tv shows and movies. She is the most giving selfless person i have ever met. But in the past 3 years something has been different. after around 8pm she starts forgetting stuff, repeating questions, slurring her speech and all around acts like a different person. And anytime I would ask her about it she would just say "Im tired thats all." At first we though it could be a sign of diabetes and unsafe glucose levels. But some doctors visits crossed that off the list. She then suspected that it was aa bad reaction to her anti depressants. But she has been off them for almost a year and nothing had changed. She is not a big drinker, only has a glass of wine now and again so I don't think its that. I have no idea whats causing this and it really is starting to scare me. I feel like i have to parent her and I feel like when she is like this I don't have a mentally stable adult to help me. (I also have an anaphylactic allergy so if something did happen while my dad was on a work trip i need someone to be able to call for help) Its like this almost every night. And its not just me that thinks this. My dad and sister have said the same. It just unsettling and i have cried after many weird interactions with her. Its like staring into the face of the person your love and trust more that anyone in this world; and although you know the face it feels like your talking to someone completely different. I have absolutely no idea what this could be. And at the end of the day i know that this can't be healthy for her either and i just want to know where to start helping. I went to my city hall to take care of important things given my complex current situation. There's a lot of high level and certain vocabulary used there.
I used an app dictionary about 2-3 times, but was able to address what I needed to say.
What JLPT level would you say going go city hall without a friend/coworkefamily member and using transition a few times?
I think N5 and N4, maybe N3, may have trouble explaining a complex situation in Japanese if they're at city hall taking care of things.
Your thoughts?

Throughout all of my life, I've been a natural loner. It just feels natural for me to be alone and in fact, I enjoy it a lot. I remember in my school years I would daydream and have interesting thoughts a lot to distract myself from the boredom of being alone. I remember making an observation that whenever I'm at school or go outside, people normally stick together with their family or friends. This honestly makes me wonder if I'm just plain weird for walking by myself or being alone.
Now that my school years are over, I'm wondering if living by myself and enjoying doing my own things instead of spending time with people is a normal thing to do. Like for example, let's say that I'm a normal person who hanged out with other people, and when my school years are over, I decide to live my life by being alone and doing my own things. Is that normal? I've seen other people on this subreddit saying that they've wasted my life by not being around people, but as a loner, I don't feel like I'm wasting my life by not socializing because I love doing my own things. I know I can live my life whatever way I want but I'm just worried that there will be regrets if I live that way. Are there any consequences besides being lonely?
(I know that this is more a loner person problem instead of a lonely person problem but I would like to hear about the experience of other people on living life on solo mode)
