My current team/situation has basically been a nightmare and i’m suffering from extreme burnout. Going into work gives me intense anxiety. Unfortunately I have 1 more month on this team before I transition to the new role and I’m so nervous about bringing that energy there.

2025.01.23 04:09 penguin-47284 Turnabout Reminiscence made me so angry! (Complimentary)
I have finished Turnabout Reminiscence! And it made me so angry what the hell!
Here’s the thing, I’m not angry because it was bad. It’s… entirely mediocre. I found the mystery itself to be fairly predictable and the puzzles fairly easy to solve (though the Logic aspect of these cases so far I’ve always found to be pretty straightforward). I did actually like every member of the cast in this episode too. Detective Badd especially, I thought his characterization was very well done. Our culprit this time had one of the coolest character designs I’ve seen probably in the series so far (I’d put her in top five) and I actually liked her schtick of finding everything Edgeworth says and does utterly ridiculous. Seeing baby Edgeworth is always scrummy welcome too. I also liked the small twists and turns in figuring out the case, even if the final result was fairly predictable in my opinion. And… I think the big takeaway from this is that Investigations doesn’t need to go all-out and have bright colours and crazy scenarios and 300 blue badgers and vibrant distracting shit being thrown at you in order to have a solid case. I loved that this case felt like it was coming back to the series’s roots: conspiracies, dark figures creeping in the hallway, some parts of this case were very sinister. It also felt very grounded, because it wasn’t so wacky and absurd with its premise. Not that I mind wacky and absurd, but I mentioned before that what I really wanted from this duology is a more fleshed out, grounded version of Visitor. This is the closest we’ve gotten folks!
No, none of that makes me angry. The part that does is actually my favourite part of this game: everything between Franziska, Miles and Manfred. Yes, this is the emotional core of this case. No, it shouldn’t have been but it was. But I found myself wanting to interact with every little thing in this game because I wanted to hear the banter between Franziska and Miles. What captured my love for it perfectly was an interaction they had between the Swiss rolls, where Miles is all ‘we could… w-we could share if you know’ and Franziska is like ‘why would I EVER want to share ANYTHING with YOU’ and Miles is all ‘…okay :,(‘ like that’s the shit I’ve been missing from these games is that sweet chemistry between the characters! And I feel like I almost got teased in this game with essentially irrelevant character dynamics, almost as if the game was like ‘see what you could’ve gotten this whole game?’ And then it’s over 😭 why capcom
If anything, it proves to me that all of the character development and emphasis on relations between characters isn’t lost on capcom, even if we haven’t really seen it in a while. I’m hoping it makes a comeback in the next episode or even the next game.
Anyways, some other smaller things:
- I’d love to hear people’s thoughts on the representation of PTSD in these games. Like, really. Edgeworth has PTSD basically written into his character info sheet at this point. And I was reminded of how well I feel it’s represented with the scene where he’s held at gunpoint and he just… freezes. I genuinely believed he would’ve been shot if not for Kay, because that’s just how he responds to trauma. But,
I don’t have PTSDI’ve never been officially diagnosed with PTSD so I can’t say for sure how well it’s represented, both here and in the original trilogy. - Kay’s backstory is really cute :) that’s really all I have to say on that. I like the bond that forms between her and Edgeworth — once again, I think it makes perfect sense that they’d bond over that. Or at least, that Edgeworth would take a liking to her because of that.
- I’m excited to see Yew again! Hopefully?
- Lastly, a really small thing but I’m glad that this case lets us free roam around a little bit more than the other cases have. It feels a little too contained at times when you’re forced to be in the same room, and I’d love to see an investigation that lets you roam free on the map where several rooms are deemed as important.

I’ve just had a care needs assessment in the UK via a social worker. She’s determined that I do have eligible care needs. However, I need to work with a re-ablement team first before I qualify for long term care, because I’m still young (I’m 25F) and it’s free, whereas long-term care will require a contribution cost. The re-ablement team will be working with me for 6 weeks.
Does this seem right? I feel like I need long term care, and all that will happen is that I’ll do well with re-ablement before going back to where I was before once re-ablement ends. I’ve always struggled, so my care needs aren’t new, and I haven’t been discharged from hospital recently. Should I push for long term care, or see how re-ablement goes? Are they discriminating based on my age and how “intelligent” they think I am, or is she just trying to save me money?

I posted on pottytraining about potty training my kid. A user private messaged me to offer "help" and asked for details about what kind of diapers she wears. Their messages were kind of weird so I looked at their profile. This user's comments show they are active in multiple fetish Reddit pages about women wearing diapers and that they have previously solicited dirty diaper change videos.
Them messaging me to ask about my kid feels totally inappropriate. Feels like they might be a pedophile, striking up real conversations about the diapers of real children. Like what you like if it's legal, but going so far as to interact with people about actual toddlers going to the bathroom in diapers seems like it is not ok. This seems like a gross violation of conduct. But is it illegal?
I reached out to the mods but can't find a good place to report this person. I think they should be banned from reddit, and probably investigated by the police tbh.
