2025.01.23 05:07 Ok-Setting5111 Is a level below beginner?
I'm a total beginner. Signed up for circuit training at highly recommended gym. Every day makes me want to cry because I feel like such a loser. There are a dozen stations, exercises change daily. Which wouldn't be a problem except invariably at least four of the exercises are things I CANNOT do. Cannot even begin to do. Examples: do a pull-up, do a chin-up, hold a plank while alternating arms, hang by my arms and pull my knees up to my chest.
This is supposedly the normal, starting-level class. (The other half of the gym is for cross fit.)
So I go, I skip the stuff I can't do and try to do some extra reps of the things I CAN do to make up for the fact that I'm skipping 1/4th to a 1/3rd of the prescribed workout, all while avoiding eye contact with my fat and flabby reflection in the floor-length mirrors. My problem is how much of a loser I feel every time. I hate working out anyway, but this is really doing a number on my [already low] self-esteem.
And of course I still have four months left on my contract.

I am 22 (male). I was born in 2002 and I lived in Texas for over 15 years now. I still live in Houston to this day.
Age Discrimination towards new employees is so bad, that managers will refuse jobs with people who are the same age range as them. I met a boss at an interview for a cashier position at Taco Bell and she rejected my application and wasted two hours of my day. She was 25 years old.
Another one was for a local waffle store near my house. I have experience in both fast food and retail work. They denied my application, and banned my step father from the store because he wanted to try and get me a job there.
This whole Age Discrimination thing is so rampant in Texas, that I feel like I want to start sueing stores for refusing to hire me because of my age.
I hate Texas, the people in the cities are assholes and I get stabbed in the back even more because I have Autism, and graduated high school in 2022.

Hi guys:) I'm working on a presentation about why we can't tickle ourselves, and I came across this image from a study titled "Distinction of Self-Produced Touch and Social Touch at Cortical and Spinal Cord Levels." However, I'm having trouble understanding what it's specifically showing, particularly the difference between the top and bottom parts of the image. Could someone help me out, please? 🙏
From the study:
The difference between self-touch and other-touch. As expected, both self-touch and object-touch were associated with an activation of the left primary motor cortex (M1) (contralateral to the moving hand), left somatosensory cortex, premotor, and striatal areas (one-sample t test: self-touch > 0, object-touch > 0). We did not find any activation of somatosensory areas in the right hemisphere (contralateral to the stationary arm). For the self-touch condition, we found a widespread deactivation, including the insula, ACC, superior temporal gyrus, amygdala, parahippocampal gyrus, and prefrontal areas (one-sample t test: self-touch < 0; Fig. 1, Bottom, Table 1, and SI Appendix, Table S2).
The main contrast of interest in this experiment was the difference between other-touch and self-touch (other-touch > self-touch) (Fig. 2, Top and Table 2). We found a clear distinction in multiple regions: ACC, superior temporal gyrus, striatum, prefrontal areas, and amygdala. Notably, the right S1 (contralateral to the stationary arm) was significantly more activated when receiving touch than during self-touch ([20 −38 68], t = 8.09, P < 0.001). In addition, we found conjunctions for the two conditions [i.e., significant activation during other-touch Λ deactivation during self-touch (44)] bilaterally in the amygdala, in the right striatum, superior temporal gyrus, posterior cingulate, and prefrontal areas (Fig. 2, Bottom and SI Appendix, Table S3).The difference between self-touch and other-touch.

I'm just confused if something is off but I used a OBD sensor to tell me my MPG and I was getting only 13.5 mpg going 80 of the highway but it goes up to like 18 mpg going 65 but then I'm slower than traffic. I know the FJ is a literal brick but I am running stock tire size 265/70/R17 and they are KO2's but I feel like I should be getting much better mpg. I do have some added weight (front bumper, sliders, winch, and skid plates) but they only add up to around 200 - 230 Ibs. Is my gas mileage normal for what I've done to the car?

First of all I want to apologize if I have the wrong flair or if I’m not explaining it well, I just thought of this and I don’t know if its already a thing or what its called if it is. I thought of this question attempting to count to obscenely large numbers to kill time.
The basis of my question is if there is a number or sets of numbers that when you count the quantity of digits 1, 2, 3… N=N inclusive of N of course.
I already found that 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 work but higher than that I’m not finding any.
I found that it scales in an interesting way 1-9 is 9 numbers 1 digit each so 9 digits 10-99 is 90 numbers 2 digits each so 180 digits 100-999 is 900 numbers 3 digits each so 2700 digits
With this counting to 100 would require 180+9+ the 3 from 100 so 192 digits
I don’t know how to prove that there wouldn’t be any others since i only have a high school education of math (so far). i would like help knowing weather there is or is not any more numbers that work or what the name of this is if there is one.
