It may be less popular bc it's on canvas, but something about this webtoon is so emotional. The characters are so layered and multi dimensional, they're all written just subtly enough that they feel realistic while having backstories that are easy to sympathize with and personalities just rich with subtext. Whenever I fall hard for a story, it sends me into a slump bc I'm determined to find something as good as the last thing I read lol. I know some people think that the mc is terrible, but his motivations and belief systems are so multi-faceted and complex, with so many different emotions happening at once in every panel, ugh it physically makes my chest hurt. Since it's a coming of age story, everyone is trying to work through their own complex growing pains, surrounded by expectations, judgment, fear of isolation, etc. and I love that it's hard to point fingers when everyone is working through the difficult but normal stuff that life throws at them. You can't really blame the characters for some of the decisions they make even if it hurts other people, which makes it so much sadder when they do. That sort of realism where everyone is connected and flawed but nobody is really to blame since all their issues are so relatable and they're just kids trying to figure things out- it's just gold to me (no pun intended). Where their pasts don't serve as an excuse but you understand why they act the way they do, and you feel even worse for the characters getting hurt because you can't even criticize the one who hurt them because they're just a kid trying to work through normal stuff. The conflicts are so internal yet universal at once. Feels just like real life, but beautifully subtle so it stays safely behind the line of believability. Does anyone have recommendations for stories, it doesn't have to be webtoons but also books or tv shows, that share any of the traits I mentioned? For context, I also love Cinderella boy and the characterization in that webtoon, along with nevermore (the more you reread it, you'll see that Annabel is less and less of a villain) and I just watched arcane so ofc I'm obsessed with S̶i̶l̶c̶o̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶v̶i̶k̶t̶o̶r̶ that story too. I forgot my meds today. I take antidepressants, anti-anxiety medication, and antipsychotics. I'm usually not enjoying myself very much. I'm usually feeling bad. But I don't know why.
Now I actually do. I'm so horribly lonely. I have no real friends, no one I trust. I'm crying right now. But at least I'm trying to figure out how to fix this. Looking up tips for friendship. For the community I'm completely lacking.
Why do I not feel this way all the time? I have no friends all the time. It's because they dull my real emotions. Dulling them to the point of unrecognizability. But they're still out there. Under the surface. Cutting me without me being aware of the blade.
How did the medical establishment become convinced that taking away people's emotional reactions to their own reality was a better option than, you know, letting them fix said reality? How is this right? I'm sad. Of course I am. But I'm also awake. And I don't want to give it up.

So I have this older Mac computer. I honestly don't even know the make or model or what year it came out. It's a bit older. It's the kind where it's just the monitor. Idk if that Info is even relevant, long story short: a week ago I tried doing the control alt delete thing and since then, I haven't been able to log back into it, these weird symbols popped up in the right corner and when I type my password 420420, it won't log in and I KNOW I typed it in CORRECTLY. It's kinda like maybe I switched the keys around somehow, unknowingly. Lol I dont have a clue lol I'm confused as hell and have no clue about computers. If someone could help troubleshoot this or point me in the correct direction to fix this, I would GREATLY APPRECIATE it :) Thank you! I'll add picture of the symbols..🤔🤔🤔🤔😺😂

I’m curious about the many “grab my hand moments” in this show and their possible symbolism.
Both in the very first and very last episodes we see Catra grabbing Adora’s hand and pulling her up to safety. Also, if I recall correctly, Adora grabs Catra’s hand a few times to save her, and every time either Catra lets go or still slips away.
This can’t be by accident. Stevenson and team are too good of writers. I’m assuming it’s meant to show how Adora has to learn to give up her hero complex. Or am I way off the mark? Are there any scenes I’m misremembering?

2025.01.23 05:05 tresslessone [41M] What the hell could have happened to me last night? Woke up with altered consciousness, high blood pressure and pounding heart.
Hi all,
I realise this is as vague a title as they come, but allow me to try and explain:
At 02:30AM last night I suddenly woke up all sweaty and hot. This is not abnormal by itself since it's summer here and the humidity does tend to spike at night, but where it gets really weird is that I had some odd symptoms that came with it:
- Very high blood pressure (measured it at 141/91)
- Ringing ears / tinnitus*
- Heart was pounding
- Weird pulsating moments of 'depersonalisation'? This one is very weird and hard to describe, but I had these intermittent and brief moments where I felt like I wasn't in my own head?
- Visual 'noise', although the lights were off and I was very much dark-adapted*
- Sense of panic
All in all, it almost was like I took a marijuana edible that hit too hard, but I'm 100% confident I did not consume any cannabis whatsoever.
I woke up my wife and we went through a little checklist and ruled out a heart attack as I had no chest pain, shortness of breath or other angina like symptoms. I also don't think it was a stroke as I had no tingling, no aphasia, no numbness or weakness.
I ended up settling on either a severe panic attack from some kind of deeply disturbing dream I have no recollection of (note; I have no childhood trauma, no combat experience), or maybe a brief spike of fever from getting exposed to something I seem to have fought off (I do have a habit of getting trippy when I have a fever).
All in all I ended up getting an okay amount of sleep (~7h) and I feel fine now, but I can't shake the feeling that this may have been a mini stroke of sorts. Is there any tell-tale signs I need to watch out for? What could have happened, and should have I gone to an emergency department instead?
