Apologies if this isn't the best place to ask. It's just a thought I have before I go to bed. My plan is to get into welding to familiarize myself with metallurgy and maybe with machinery. So far it's worked well even as a newbie. I'm currently in LA but I hope to return to San Joaquin County where it's more gun friendly. Are there places that train people for gunsmithing in LA or even San Joaquin County?

I started a new job at a pizza place as CSR (I lowkey don’t know what that means but it’s basically front of house). In this job we take orders and payments but sometimes we bus out food and make salads and deserts.
This is a small business so there’s no dress code/ uniform. My style is somewhat elevated - lots of kitschy thrifted pieces. I also like to dress a little nicer because I know it’ll get me more tips.
The problem with this is that I worry about staining or damaging things - so I thought about wearing a plain black apron would be a good solution.
Is this weird or a bad idea? I’ve never worked food service before so I wouldn’t know. Like I’m my mind, aprons are just for the cooks or waitresses but I’m neither of those?

First node is mandatory, much like blood witch.
- Tranquility - You cannot gain rage. Max tranquility is 100. Lose tranquility stacks at a rate of 10 per second after 4 seconds of not gaining tranquility stacks. Gain tranquility on hit. 0.2 more attack speed per tranquility (20% at max stacks) if not otherwise indicated all nodes connect to this one.
- Blinding gales - Gain tranquility when you daze an enemy. Dazed enemies are primed for stun. Gain 0.1% more physical attack damage per tranquility.(10%)
- Pacifism - your culling effects instead pacify enemies. Gain tranquility when you pacify an enemy. Gain 0.5 spirit per maximum tranquility. Pacify - release the spirit of enemies from their bodies (cull with flavour) once they reach double the threshold of cull.
- Stand against the wind - +50 max tranquility. do not lose tranquility while standing still. Regenerate 0.05% life while standing still per tranquility. (5%)
- Run with the wind - +50 max tranquility. do not lose tranquility while moving. Regenerate 0.05% mana while moving per tranquility (5%)
- Air armor - gain tranquility when you evade. +20% physical damage reduction. Armour has no effect on you. Gain 0.1% more evasion per tranquility. (10%)

Long story short, my ex's parent's "gifted" a cruise for us for my birthday using their casino comps. As much as I'd love to go because it's a bucket-list trip, we're no contact as the relationship ended pretty badly. There's no monetary value since I'm technically sharing a room with one of his parents, but I was wondering if there's any penalty if I don't show up?
I constantly get emails about it and when I check my account, I'm still listed as a passenger. My passport information as well as rewards program ID is listed on the reservation. I don't care if they get charged single occupancy (which they wouldn't because it's comp'd anyway), but will I be flagged with the cruise line or anything if I don't show? Will it affect future sailings?

2025.01.23 05:44 gamedawgs Tips on cutting the meat and ideal cook time?
I’m on my 4th batch of making beef jerky (eye round and top round) and on every batch, I cut my jerky too thick. This leads to me then overcooking(?) the meat and it being extremely chewy. I use meat scissors, and cut against the grain.
To me, my cuts look to be maybe 1/2in thick. I know 1/8 - 1/4in is recommended, but when using the scissors, I can’t seem to get any smaller without making odd shaped jerky.
I did 158° for about 5 1/2 hours today but it came out far too dry / chewy, so much so where I can’t even give this batch out to my friends.
Next time, I’m definitely going to try a sharp knife. Other than that, any other tips?

One thing I've learned in my life as a guy who has been abused by women is the world doesn't view it as meaningful. Disgust, anger, disbelief, pity, shamed or an almost "how dare you" like reaction is common. I try not to be mad at myself because all I ever did was what the world said to do. Be open, daring, do the uncomfortable/risky, share your emotions. I'm realizing lately what a terrible fool I've been my whole life to follow that.
Luckily I'm done with that. The fantasy is over. Past few months I've just been focusing on eating properly, working out, and gathering momentum for my business. I care nothing for material possessions but I'll use them to attract people to me. I'll treat people like the interchangeable pieces they are. I'm finally understanding what so many others have since they were young.
