2025.01.23 05:38 Ankafnakhonsu 12 hour shifts, 3 days a week
I just recently moved back to lincoln. A few years back I lived in Columbus and worked at Vishay doing 12 hour shifts, 3 days a week. I loved it. Having 4 days off but still working almost a full 40 hours was perfect. Does anyone know of jobs that have that or similar here in lincoln?

2025.01.23 05:38 byron_d String vs String_view
I came across an interesting bit of information about string initialization. When you initialize a string like this:
#include #include using namespace std; int main() { string greeting = "Hello!"; // "Hello!" is copied into memory allocated for string greeting cout << greeting << '\n'; return 0; }
You're essentially copying the string text into memory allocated for the string greeting. Which can be slow compared to other variable types. Here's another example:#include #include using namespace std; void printStr(string str) { cout << str << '\n'; } int main() { string greeting = "Hello!"; printStr(greeting); return 0; }
Now you're making two copies of the same string. First when you initialize greeting and then again when you pass greeting as a parameter for the printStr() function. That could get expensive if you had a larger program with more strings being passed around. #include #include using namespace std; void printStr(string_view str) { cout << str << '\n'; } int main() { string_view greeting = "Hello!"; printStr(greeting); return 0; }
Don't forget to include 2025.01.23 05:38 Mediocre-Shelter5533 Banning twitter links won’t do anything and you’re all 2-ply.

2025.01.23 05:38 snesCUB364 I suck at street fighter
I suck at street fighter. No matter how much effort I put into Street Fighter, I still end up losing. I always lose in USF4, and rarely win in 3rd Strike. It's frustrating, and it makes me feel awful to the point where I start thinking about giving up. I know fighting games are supposed to be fun and a learning experience, but it’s hard to ignore the anger, negativity, and feeling desperate that come with constant losses.
Lately, I’ve been questioning if I should even continue playing. It feels like I’m going nowhere, and my dream of becoming a pro player has taken a hit because of how much I struggle. If I truly wanted to get better, I’d commit hours to improving, but instead, I feel unmotivated and detached.
The hardest part is that I’ve started playing 3rd Strike and USF4 competitively a few months ago, and losing so often has left me feeling desperate. I understand that no one really cares about how I feel, but sharing this helps me let out all the frustration I’ve been bottling up.
Another thing that’s been weighing on me is how I’ve spent over a year grinding SF5, yet I haven’t made any real progress. I’m still stuck at Super Bronze, no matter how hard I try.
I can’t shake the feeling that it’s going to be the same with all the Street Fighter games and other fighting games. No matter how hard I try, I feel like I’m always going to stay stuck at the same level I’ve been at for years.

2025.01.23 05:38 OppositeReflection67 Front-End Mentoring (Gratis)
Salut!

2025.01.23 05:38 SpaceSoft2183 When you had planned your life with them
I saw my future with her. She could've been everything to me despite all the red flags in her. I could've fought the world in a heartbeat for her. I saw myself enjoying my life with her by my side. Now, I can still see her. Right in front of me. Everyday. But she lives with another guy who might've not felt the same about her. But she lives with him now. She made up her mind. Why can't I make up mine! Why did I see a future with her when there wasn't going to be one. I see her everyday now. Again. With my heart still dwindling to her one smile. How can I forget that smile when I don't want to forget it! How can I forget her when I don't want to forget her! Life is hard. How can you not end up with someone you couldn't live without! Is love just sacrifice?
