Managed to successfully complete an online installation (Artix+LXQT) using the work-in-progress online installer (calamares-online).
The only hitch I ran into was some packages failing to install because of some key-related errors.

2025.01.23 05:39 Responsible-Drop892 Eye sight problem
Male 17 white
For 3 or 4 years I have know that my eye sight has been very poor. The only reason I know this is I tryed on my brothers glasses as a joke and everything looked clearer.
But the main issue I have is there is a "empty" space on the left side of my vision that's starting to concern me as my job is colecting carts from the lot and needing to cross the street with crazy drivers every 10 seconds. And I can't see the cars coming unless I'm almost fully looking strait at them.
I don't know if this blind spot is new or not but I have reason to believe it's not new.
I was wondering if someone knew anything about this or could try helping to see if I truly need to go get it checked out.

 | Basicamente me alcanzaba el puntaje para casi todo, pero nunca tuve claro que estudiar, tenia de opcion medicina en la universidad de concepcion solo porque medicina y ya, o estudiar alguna ingenieria en una universidad como la catolica o la chile, al final no me meti a ninguna de esas dos opciones porque no tenia claro si realmente me gusta medicina y no queria terminar dejando la carrera a la mitad si no me gustaba, y con respecto a santiago no me convencio porque me contaron muchas cosas malas de la ciudad y el ambiente es muy distinto al que estoy acostumbrado, al final me meti a un plan comun en la usm de ingenieria porque no tenia idea que estudiar, pero al ver que toda la gente sueña con irse a la catolica o la chile me quede con la sensacion de que quizas fue un desperdicio no haber ido? I currently work for a large media company and have a background in video editing. There are a number of agencies that would hire me freelance if I was available to work. My wife owns a boutique production company. We could both work from Spain but wanted to know if either of us would qualify? Would I have to already be freelance for a certain period of time before applying or could I apply with the plan to quit my job and go freelance? Would my wife qualify if she can run her business remotely?

2025.01.23 05:39 Shadowier222 Tried to use styrofoam box as a small pond but it has a weird smell? Is it safe?
I am planning to use a styrofoam box as a pond for my betta but when I opened the lid (I had kept the lid on it) there was a weird smell that I couldn't explain and then it just disappeared. I tried washing the box a couple of times with water but I doubt that would work. I already put in some of the water and a lot of plants for the fish (I did not put the fish in as I needed to cycle it first) and after giving it some more thought I am kind of worried.
Why did that box smell? Was it chemicals? Would this harm the fish?
I really want some answers because I am worried that I might poison my fish if I put it in. If it is chemicals, how do I get rid of the chemicals? Would just airing it outside for a couple of days work? Do I have to quarantine the plants already inside (mostly floater plants and some moss)?
I will really appreciate some answers

Hey everyone! I'm a junior looking to take an ap I haven't studied anything cause I didn't know if I should take anything since I'm studying for my own country's uni exam... But now I feel like I can maybe take one and still do good since I still have a year till the exam
I'm wondering if it is possible to study for either ap calc bc, ap chem or ap stats in the months left and still get a good score starting from 0
Ap calc is pretty similar to my country's senior year math classes (limits, derivates, integrals, sequences and series etc.) and I'm taking some private classes that include those topics so I though that one might be a good idea
I'm looking for advice on what I should do :))
