 | Playing Mudrunner Mobile for a few days now. First like the C260 for it’s characteristic turbo diesel whine. No other truck in the mobile game has the whine (apart from the K700) Playing the Downhill map today on hardcore setting, decided i was feeling lazy to drive two medium log trucks (4 pts each) to the lumberyard. C260 with the log carriage on the bed, one short log trailer attached and another on the winch. So 3+3+3 log points. Ate all the muddy steep uphill segments on the map with ease. I recently re-watched the first Tomb Raider movie starring Angelina Jolie and realized that Lara actually helps the Illuminati get closer to their goal of finding the ancient artifact that allows them to control the flow of time.
Lara is following her father's notes that encourage her to try and prevent the aforementioned scenario but at each turn she furthers the Illuminati's plot. In the first dungeon she could have waited for 2 minutes to let the window of opportunity pass and the Illuminati would have had to wait another 5000 years to try their scheme again to find the pieces of the magical triangle. Lara had no reason to solve the first triangle puzzle as no loved-one was held at gunpoint nor was there any other vague threats to civilians, herself or society general. Only after she reveals herself and gloats at the bad guys do they even know she is there.
Of course, one could say that she did it because she is an artefact hunter and it tickles her curiosity or that she wants to get the artefact to get her father back and those might be valid reasons. But at the same time she is well aware of the potential dangers the artefact represents.
The Batman is another movie where some commenters have pointed out that Batman's actions have very little effect on the plot and apart from the very last face-off with the Riddler's followers, Batman doesn't really do anything meaningful to further the plot or to solve the overall situation. I recently watched it with these comments in mind but couldn't really see their points, at least not fully. I guess the carpet knife/floor reveal required the beat cop's knowledge to guide Batman in the right direction but it feels a bit stretch to say that the police would have torn off the carpet themselves, especially since the Riddler's place was already investigated before the carpet scene (as far as I remember the order of the scenes, anyway).
What other movies do you know where the protagonist's actions either help the antagonist's goals or are indifferent to the conclusion of the story? I think movies that have at least a somewhat happy ending are even more interesting if the protagonist's struggles contribute very little or not at all to the end result.

I have a bug with Ken Morgan, one of the targets in Bangkok. I've eliminated Jordan Cross, went to find Ken and he is in the kitchen. He complains about vegan cake and after that he just stands there, doesn't move and when I try to talk to him it says he is busy. I even tried to toss a coin at him, see what happens. And absolutely nothing. No reaction. Like he is not even there. Are there any solutions or do I have to restart the whole mission?
