And I mean that as a whole, not just Reddit. I dunno, but I feel like some of the people here are either genuinely "problematic" for the lack of a nicer word or flat-out stupid. In the actual Khatun stream there were those trying to argue and unironically go "devs are wrong, its actually a turk" despite the devs going into an entire explanation of the how and why of the character. Then people began being really fucking weird when they brought some of the lady members of the team to discuss their contributions to the character.
To the point they had to warned several times to be normal. Never mind the fact that we're now getting the umpteenth wave of "ANOTHER FEMALE CHARACTER?!?" even though it was widely known it was a woman, its been stated there is a set pattern, and its been stated why they're doing it this way for literal years at this point. Never mind the few who I saw go completely mask off and either state blatant sexism or claim it's "woke" or whatever.
This alone, while annoying, really isn't that big of deal. It sucks and god it makes me cringe but whatever, right? Thing is, shit keeps happening. With Alfeera I remember there being genuine arguments because she's a Arabic warrioress, with such thoughtful arguments ranging from not historically accurate which is just.... okay, this game takes place 2000 years after a global cataclysm where knights and samurai and vikings fight but go off I guess. To the very mask off "THIS IS AN INSULT TO MY CULTURE" because she has a pussy rather than a dick.
Same thing with Medjay because hooooo boy I remember quite a lot of fucking freaks getting angry at the fact he was black. Interestingly, nobody complained at him being only male. Likewise with Ocelotl. Likewise with Sohei. Likewise with Kyoshin. You'd think there would be an ardent push from those who claim to just want both options for heroes each time but, seemingly, it only really happens when the new hero is allowed to go into a women's restroom.
It's a cycle that keeps on happening and while I do appreciate both mods, the dev team, and regular being their best to squash the weirdos whenever they pop up, it just gets so tiring seeing the same garbage happen each and every time. And to reiterate, on an individual level, this isn't that bad. Sure the "but why woman" crowd gets annoying but there are those who are genuine in their want of having both sexes for heroes, but I do thing that would be a really cool thing is they ever managed to do it.
I understand the yearning for historical accuracy here and there cause history is genuinely REALLY cool and do thing when its added it spices things up, but this is not a historical game. It is historical fantasy with with a low magic system, its the reason why vikings are basically the anachronistic fake version of vikings some people have, which is still completely rad and I love to bits.
Those are just my thoughts though.

I know this isn't really what this sub is for but I have no idea where else I would write this! Sorry :(
I got a 3DS in 2012 and about a year in I started having dreams where someone sat on it and it broke in half. Like the screens snapped off and all. When its battery got swollen up and I couldn't play, those dreams became less frequent. I got it fixed in September, now the dreams are back and almost every night! And they're like, really detailed and they feel so real. Sometimes I wake up crying or reaaaally sweaty.
How can I play everyday without getting these nightmarish dreams? Any help is appreciated!

I'm 24(F), may live-in partner ako for 6 months. Nag-aaral pa ako, 2nd year college BSTM tapos siya, nagt-trabaho, Service Engineer. Kasama namin sa bahay yung dad nya and yung kapatid nya, 19(M), 1st year college. Before kami magsama, sinabi nya siya na lang magpapaaral sakin dahil gusto na nya talaga magsama kami, pero tbh, yung parents ko talaga ang nagpapaaral sakin, pero hindi na kinakaya. I tried maghanap ng work, pero hindi talaga ako swineswerte. Kung meron man, hindi pasok sa schedule. Kadalasan, ayaw nila ng part-time, gusto nila full-time. Nag-try na ako mag-apply sa mga fast food restaurants, malapit sa school at bahay, pero hindi ako pinapalad.
Kaya napag-usapan namin na siya na lang magpapaaral sakin, pero hindi ako sumusuko maghanap ng work. Sa kakahintay na may tumawag ulit para mag-interview, pinasok ko na yung pag affiliate sa TikTok kasi gusto ko rin makapag-ambag sa gastusin.
I know hindi palagi masaya, lagi may away, pero kasi sobrang napapagod na ako sa sitwasyon ko ngayon. I hope hindi ako ma-judge muna ha.
Noong 1st sem, nag-modular ako. Ibig sabihin, nasa bahay lang ako while taking online classes. Yung reason kung bakit modular ako kasi gusto ko maghanap ng work, tapos taga-QC ako, tapos yung school ko nasa Caloocan. Masyado akong nalalayuan. Ako yung naglilinis ng bahay, nagsasaing, nagluluto, at naglalaba ng damit namin. Sinasabi ko lang ha. Not me nag r-reklamo para may idea lang kayo. Pinagsasabay ko yung pag-aaral, affiliate work, at mga gawaing bahay, pero ngayon lang ako nakaramdam ng sobrang pagod.
Ngayon, 2nd sem na, tinanggal na modular sa school. Kailangan ko mag-stay sa house ng parents ko kasi kailangan ko na pumasok sa school, regular student na ako. So, mas mapapagastos pa ako sa pamasahe kung hindi ako mag stay sa caloocan ng ilang araw. 7 AM - 12 PM class namin, tapos ang daming activities and reporting na binibigay.
Ngayon, kakauwi ko lang sa bahay sa QC. Lalo akong napagod sa nadatnan ko. Naabutan ko mabaho, maraming damit na nakakalat, mga hugasin hindi mahugasan. Today is Thursday pero yung adobong baboy na niluto ko nung Monday, nandun pa sa kaserola, inaamag na. Hindi man lang hinugasan.
Kung tinatanong niyo kung nasaan yung dad nila, simula nung pumasok yung 2025, hindi na gaanong umuuwi dito, kaya kami nalang tatlo. Tapos, lagi pa akong wala. Sobrang okay ng dad nila, kasi tinutulungan niya ako minsan sa gawaing bahay.
Matagal ko nang sinasabi sa kanya yung thoughts ko sa mga ganito. Pero kapag may ganitong mga bagay, madalas niyang sinasabi na wag ko na daw dagdagan ang problema niya. I understand naman yun, kaso kasi parang feeling ko, ako na yung maid hahaha. Nasosolusyonan naman, tinutulungan na ako ng kapatid nya pero ilang araw lang, ganun ulit. Napapagod na ako. Yung feeling na mali ako, mali akong makaramdam ng ganito.
