It sounds to me as if it wasn’t a smart move at all. But I was listening to a podcast the other say and the historian being interviewed said that it was a high point in his reign? Was it actually, or was it merely one of the less daft things King John ever did?

2025.01.23 13:16 BillPlantzz Been a lurker for a while. Just been diagnosed today and got medication. So happy.

(M34) been experiencing the worst symptoms for years now. Thought I was just going mad about how exhausted I feel and anxiety etc then recently started to get hair loss and lots of other symptoms and literally could not get out of bed to go to work lately
Had 2 tests done 6 months apart
Results are
Serum TSH level 21.8mu/L Serum free T4 13.4pmol/L Thyroid peroxidase ab 1300ku/L
Been diagnosed as subclinical hypothyroidism/Borderline hypothyroidism
Have been prescribed 125 micrograms of Levothyroxine.
Does this sound about right?
Hopefully start to feel a bit better soon life has been difficult lately to say the least.

Que harían si el técnico que puso el aire los boludea así? Puso el aire hace 1 mes aprox, ahora tiene pérdida de refrigerante. El loco no contesta llamadas tampoco.
Otro técnico cobra 60k por arreglarlo, pero le corresponde a este solucionarlo porque además ya tuvo otros inconvenientes con la instalación que tuvo que venir a solucionar. (Había dejado la manguera de desagote con panza hacia arriba y volvía el agua y salía por la unidad interior).
Además si tienen el número de algún técnico de confianza es bienvenido

I'm a newbie guitarist who just discovered looping. I'd like to add simple finger drums and cheesy synths to that and Akai Mini Play seems perfect. Then I've started digging deeper and apparently Akai's stock sounds suck (I could live with that) but it also lacks normal midi outputs - which is a real bummer as I'd like to slowly build a dawless rig.
Any budget alternatives?
Or maybe a simple budget sampler (second hand? Or maybe even a phone with some dongles?) connected to a cheapo midi keyboard like Arturia Minilab?
I'd be really grateful if you could point me to some direction.

I’m on season 2 and I absolutely LOVE desperate housewives. After scrolling through this sub, I’ve found that everyone hates Susan. Personally… she’s my favourite. Her character is so real. She is chaotic, and emotional. She messes up and does her best to fix it. She is awkward, and a little weird in all the best ways. I simply just don’t get the hate!
I love all the housewives. They are all so different. I love all their flaws. I love how realistic they all are, in their own ways. Susan has my heart though.

Hey guys! I have an MSc and BSc in AI (will graduate MSc in July) both from global top 100 universities (top 3 in NL). I have been doing an unpaid internship for the last 8 months and the work is also in AI. I have been programming for 5+ years and have experience with cloud applications, NLP, and ML. I do not speak Dutch but will start a course soon. I also hold a non-EU passport even though I have lived in EU most my life. Not sure if any of these points are helpful in answering the question because this is the first time I am applying for a job but I just wanted a rough ball-park on what salary I can expect (lows and highs) so I can tell if I am being underpaid. Any ideas?
PS: Any tips or advice on job search, things to look out for is also appreciated.

So basically I was trying to get high off of DXM right now I took 120 mg but there's actually other active ingredients like lots of guanfacine and the stuff that's in Tylenol and also phenylephrine so I probably just took like 200 mg of phenylephrine at least 3000 mg of Tylenol (my liver is cooked)then a after that phenylephrine HCl is probably going to fuck with my heart it's been an hour and I think I'm fine but I just had like a coughing fit right now where like I was laying on the floor and I had extreme heartburn and I can barely talk or breathe I don't know I'm scared I'm going to take some tums also I'm on the first plateau

Hey guys! So I have BPD and have quite the problem with one of my friends because they say I don't care about anything they say. With that, he means, of course, mundane things, because as someone with BPD, of course, I care overly about anything related to me in specific LOL.
The thing is, for example, they told me they were annoyed because there were construction workers at their house, and that made them annoyed. Okay, I said something like “That sucks” “Why are they there” and then changed subjects back. They said I should acknowledge it better and judge everything people say as important. I don't understand it and don't agree with it, but as someone who is neurodivergent, I'd like your opinion. Am I lacking as a friend because I don't care about random things in someone's day? Or the specifics of their routine? Or is it harmful behavior to judge everything essential?

Hello. I'm from province po and I decided to look for a job here since medyo malayo po ang city. Tas medyo gastos po doon. Then ako nlang kasama ng parents ko tas medyo may ka edaran na rin. Since probinsya usually government lang ang may promising job as a CPA. Currently on going po ang application ko sa dalawang government office. First I applied in Landbank, it happened na may kakilala ako kasi dito ako nag OJT wayback in college so may nakavouch for me. Malaki ang sahod kaya nag apply ako even there's no accountant position here since branch lang sya. Edge lang na CPA ako kaya bet ni manager. ( medyo sad kasi di ko magagamit pagiging CPA ko, pero praktikalan nalng since malapit tapos malaki sahod sge nlang.😂) However ,little did I know ang haba pala ng hiring process dito. Medyo bothered ako kasi last week naka initial interview na ako with BM pero til now wala pang update tas baka abotan nang election ban. Medyo mahaba habang paghihintay base na rin sa mga nababasa ko dito. Tas gusto ko nang magwork talaga😭 . Kaya option 2 nag apply ako sa Provincial capitol namin dito sa province since may vacant position Accountant 1. So ngayon naghihintay nalang ako if sinong unang tatawag sa akin. Ang dilemma ko lang kasi if ever matagal talaga tong si LBP ayos lang ba na magwork mun ako sa Provincial capitol(if mahire) while waiting ma officially hired in lbp? Since JO position palang naman sa capitol okay lang magresign? Di ba pangit sa employment record ko po ito? I know po na mahirap ang career growth dito sa govnt as a CPA pero as of now ito lang talaga ang choice ko. Mahirap malayo sa old parents I can't bring back time if something happens. So I always liked Xena when it aired. Re-watching it now many years (or oof decades) later I'm so pleased with the show - it's been such a fun watch. It's also interesting to see people my age also doing a re-watch in this sub!
I was also a fan of Jem and the Holograms when I was a kid. Looking into the history of that show, I read that since the show was slated in the line up between two shows intended for boys, the action levels and the pacing had to be way higher and faster than a typical show intended for girls. It really shaped the content of the show, where the female characters had more automony and better higher stakes storylines (for a cartoon lol) - that interpersonal drama was as interesting to drive conflict in the show as much as a stage with a bomb under it lol.
So my questions is - what was the original intended audience for Xena? Was it a kind of a similar push to expand to a different audience than Hercules? Interested in any insight into this or good articles/interviews to read/watch about this
