It was another busy day. As soon as one passenger got in and you hit start ride, the next ride request would pop up in seconds. As I'm greeting the rider, hitting start ride and trying to see where we were going, the pop up for the next ride comes in and blocks my screen. I see it's 5 minutes from my drop and a 18 minute ride east and a reservation. Ok, how bad can it be? It'll be my last trip. 18 minutes east would get me most of the way home, so I hit accept. Drop the rider off and head for the pickup. Get there and then it shows up that the pickup time is 35 minutes out!!! WTH. Surges all over the entire market area and Uber wants me to wait over 30 minutes for what $5 reservation fee. No thanks. I sat 2 minutes, hit rider didn't show and moved on. Then started blowing up support with how unacceptable this is. Give me the full information to make a decision before I waste my time and gas to go sit for 30 minutes unpaid. Yeah, that's not going to happen from uber. The only good thing that came out of it was you can cancel once your there without it hitting your cancellation rate. Checked and they were correct, my cancellation rate didn't change. If you decline it does your AR take the hit?

My friend told me his sister is a software developer and she makes good money while also gets a lot of time for herself. She works under Microsoft (might be wrong on this, my memory is a bit hazy), she has her own office (and the building has a bed for people to rest in?). She can also choose to work from home, and she can take a month long break or sumn.
I searched up if this is the life for other people and it doesn't seem to be the case? I was curious mostly abt the vacation/break thing she was talking abt. Please do share how ur life usually goes too.

2025.01.23 13:23 vetomos Why do people say Vi's character was 'butchered' to fit into CaitVi when the reason she feels off is because she was used to uplift Jinx's development?
I've seen a lot of dicussions about how Vi's character feels OOC this season and I'm surprised a lot of people think it's because of her relationship with Caitlyn, considering they barely have screentime together and still, even with so little time, their relationship development is pretty consistent in comparison with other aspects of this season.
One of the first scenes where I realized this was back in episode 5 when they made Vi hit Isha just to highlight Jinx's development. Why wouldn't Vi apologize to the kid? It's not even depicted as her having a flashback to when she hit Powder, Vi just does that so that Jinx can have her moment to shine. A lot of people even saw that scene as "Vi realizing Jinx is a better big sister than she was".
Same problem with the discussion that takes place moments before:
"I'm a hero! I busted half of Zaun out of Stillwater while you were passed out at the bottom a mug."
Bragging about being a hero as if you weren't hiding for months, saying you freed people out of prison as if your own sister wasn't trapped inside of one for almost a decade and still have the audacity to make fun of your sister's alcoholism????
And what is Vi's response to all that? Nothing. Vi went through hell just to get her sister back and now she's making fun of you for how you deal with your trauma and you just let it happen? Girl stand up.
Same thing with the prison scene. Every line Jinx says when locking Vi up means nothing to Vi's character. Why? Because is only set up for what's next for Jinx.
"There's not good version of me." Set up so that Ekko can prove her wrong.
"Break the cycle." Set up for her "walking away" at the end.
Vi's voice has no weight in any of her scenes with Jinx because the writers needed to show Jinx's path toward redemption, and how do you redeem a character when you're too lazy to write her a proper arc? Add a random kid that will show the audience they still have a kind heart (proceed to kill them for shock value), make them become a symbol of the city she used to terrorize next to her adoptive father to achieve more power, and totally massacrate the other sister that has a good heart and sacrificed everything for her family.
The only scenes where Vi felt a bit more like her s1 self was when she was around Caitlyn; the banter, calling out Caitlyn's bullshit, opening up about her guilt ('I choose wrong every time'), etc etc.
Caitlyn calls off the occupation, takes care of Vi while she's unconscious, doesn't ask for forgiveness because she knows what she did was unforgivable, gives Vi space to do what she wants, lets her call the shots, and when Vi spirals down feeling like she's lost everyone again, Caitlyn comes in to reassure her that no, she hasn't.
She didn't ask for it but still earned Vi's trust back.
What did Jinx do besides kidnap her, force her to kill the girl she liked, watch her destroy her life from a distance, make fun of her suffering and lock her up back inside a cell?

 | after the root canal and I can feel my tooth. I don't feel any sharp pains, I feel a dull sort of bruised pain when I touch my tooth. There is no pain when I bite with the tooth however I feel something when chewing soft, squishy and sticky stuff (gum and bread). Hello! I have a wound that has yellow in the middle, and is making a part of my foot near the wound painful. It is also a bit red. I have a similar wound on the other side of my foot due to my footwear. However, I hit this particular wound four times, which led to it to bleed a clear liquid at first, then yellow next. It was very painful on the first day and second day, which subsided a bit at the third which was the day the picture below was taken.
Should I be concerned of this wound? Should I do anything? Thank you.
