I'm sure this was a nice subreddit at some time in the past, but I'm new to reddit. I'm trying to engage others about Christianity. Three days after I joined reddit, Christianity turned into a self-gratifying, reactionary space to hate others for not being Christian enough or the type of Christian you'd invite over to dinner. Maybe it always has been this but like I said, I'm new to reddit and I assumed a subreddit with the most basic name would not be so narrowly focused. I'd like to engage in conversation with many Christians. Can anyone recommend a different subreddit that is either less political or less one-sided? Please don't respond with a lecture of why I'm wrong or why it is the way it is; just point a new user in the right direction or offer serious suggestions.

This week I received mail "Your downloads are ready" with link to placeholder for Compendium pdf. At the same time Armies of Germany was shipped to me, but I still haven't received link to Armies of Germany pdf.
What's the WG's policy regarding physical books & pdfs? Should I contact their support?

 | After losing Maryland and Vinland in 1765, Sweden increased its military presence and taxes in its colony of New Sweden, increasing discontent against colonists, who felt oppressed by the Crown. Many started believing in New Swedish independence, either as a constitutional monarchy or a republic similar to Cromwell's Protectorate. On 5 March 1770, Swedish colonial militia perpetrated the Boston massacre against American patriots. This was followed a few years later by the Intolerable Acts, and Swedish military occupation of Massachusetts. These measures increased discontent with Swedish rule even further. The Declaration of Independence of the Kingdom of America was issued on 8 January 1777, by John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and other New Swedish intellectuals; Adams served as regent until 1782, when the Patriots emerged victorious and Henry of Prussia became King of America as Henry I. After the Kingdom of America's declaration of independence on 8 January 1777, a war of independence broke out between the American patriots and Swedish loyalists. The Patriots soon took control of large swathes of rural territory, while major cities such as New Stockholm, Christinaberg and New Gothenburg remained under loyalist control. The Patriots were led by Karl Heidelberg (1834–1801), a landowner and militia commander from New Stockholm who supported enlightenment ideals and American independence as a constitutional monarchy. Sweden frequently used search and destroy operations in order to defeat the Patriots, and as the Loyalist side was almost equally strong, they were seen as winning the war until 1778, when Great Britain under George III and the Russian Empire led by Catherine the Great declared war on Sweden, one of their traditional enemies. The Swedish military suffered major defeats in Finland and the Caribbean, while British forces commanded by George Washington marched from Virginia. By 1782, Sweden's economic, political and military resources had become increasingly exhausted, bringing King Charles XIII to the negotiating table. On 19 June, Sweden signed the Treaty of London, wherein it agreed to recognize American independence and cede some land to Britain and Russia. John Adams served as American regent until 19 March 1783, when Prince Henry of Prussia was crowned King Henry I of America, with Heidelberg as prime minister. A constitution would later be enacted that was revolutionary for the time, following the principle that "all men are created equal". 2025.01.23 13:19 jonathanspinkler Easily charging a dead 12v battery
I have been waiting for road assistance a few times now because my 12v battery died. Headlights on while I was in a restaurant, blinkers on for too long while moving some stuff. Silly you can not leave your blinkers on for more than half an hour 🧐🧐
Road assistance obviously didn't know this otherwise they'd not have let me wait hours to do a quick jumpstart:
Today I discovered that hooking the car up to a normal electricity socket and charging for 15 minutes, gives the 12v battery enough power to start the car again.
Just wanted to inform anyone who, like me, didn't know this.

I think he is the best name for OC I see being floated. Before Kamara got hurt, the Saints offense wasn't awful. He did a good job mixing Miller in and I could see a very interesting sort of role evolve if he were hired for Hall and a more clear cut type of usage of Allen and/or Davis. I still think Hall has a lot of potential but it requires more of a finesse role than Allen as a hammer.
With Rodgers being immobile, it becomes more important to have a strong running game to setup play action. Assuming upgrades on the line, I think Kubiak could do very well.

I see so many people convinced they're saving money because their monthly rent is lower than what would be their MORTGAGE RATE. What is it that makes it so people don't realize most of the mortgage is you giving the bank back their money? You get a HOUSE in return, is that not enough of a clue?
I get needing the flexibility that rent provides, I get not being able to afford a higher higher monthly repayment than what their rent would be, but I swear some people get stuck in the rent spiral just because they figure it's better for them in the long run

Not sure if it happened in the last update (I think so) but my volume control on the app is finally (mostly) responsive to touch. I can change the volume incrementally rather than with huge sort of random jumps between loud and soft.
Anyway, hooray for the new CEO. This may seem like a small thing (it really is) but it has been extremely annoying since May 2024.

Does anyone have information on how/where characters like Havers, Sophie, Isabelle, George, or other characters connected to the main cast died? I know this is little info shared in the show, maybe there’s some in the books? I would guess all but Sophie died in England, but did she flee to France? Is the Catholic Plot a real historic event?
