The lights seem pretty nifty with the ring mode selector. I'm just wondering what people use the color mode for. It seems fun but not very useful, which is totally ok! I suspect there are practical uses that I'm not thinking of though.

Guys I have a personal modpack that i decided to add AllTheModium in it (it required also AllTheOres and GeckoLib4) but after installing the mod every block like ores or netherrack became with no mining tool (like when you mine a diamond with stone pick so it doesn't drop) every item became toolless and unobtainable after mining, when i disabled allthemodium with its dependencies everything seemed to work fine, does anyone know the reason for this weird behavior and how can i fix it

I’ve been lurking around here for a while and finally decided to post because I’m planning a longer dry fast and could really use your advice. I’ve done two 3-day dry fasts before, both while working, and they went pretty well overall. But now, I’m thinking of pushing for 5 days dry, followed by 2 days of water fasting to make it a full week.
For context, I’m 5’11”, 225 lbs, and around 30% body fat. I work a semi-active job outdoors, which means I’m on my feet and moving in the cold, but it’s not super intense. My plan is to start the fast while working for the first 2–3 days, then I’ll have about 4 days off work to rest and recover.
The last time I did a 3-day fast, I was going through a breakup. It was tough, but fasting gave me this unexpected sense of clarity. It helped me stay grounded and reminded me that life isn’t over just because things didn’t work out. It felt like I was snapping back into reality instead of drowning in the heartache.
Right now, I’m dealing with another personal situation that’s been weighing on me. I’m hoping that along with the physical benefits—like weight loss and healing—I’ll get that same clarity and grounding again. I feel like I really need it right now.

Heres a nightmare realization im living.
In 20 years, the human-ai singularity happens if society keeps track.
If time travel is possible its working backwards from the singularity event.
So the closer we approach it, the more simulated and crazy reality seems, as after we pass it, change and total unknown.
Now, if humans were to become quantum, that means our minds need prepping for that crazy.
If synchronicities and deja vu, are micro links to the singularity, then someone needs to "map" and make the framework for the first quantum minds.
If huemanity has any latent psionic potential
As the lacerta files implicates.
Then maybe our visitors have been dropping hints. Because ive collected enough to make a picture, so badly its made me psychotically silent in fears this drives others crazy.
I cannot see the past, only get a vague idea and answer.
I cannot see any of my last lives, just a decent idea of how they lived.
Where im stuck on, is my book a catalyst to prepare humanity for the next step? Or did i make the sanest most psycho book ever?
Would you read a book if it either prepared you for psychic abilities or drove you insane?

2025.01.23 14:44 Ascanioo How do I calculate if MVN is worth or not?
I was used to equip an Epic MVN, since my UW's were not in sync, and it helped me a lot in my econ progression. Now 2 things changed:
- I recently had the chance to get a Legendary Dimension Core, even if I do not have CL.
- I synced my UW's 2:1, with BH at 120s and DW+GT at 240s
Legendary sub's are stronger, giving me +1x more GT bonus, +2m BH radius and +2s BH duration (there's no BH duration available for Epic modules, only Legendary) compared to the Epic module.
I still have to test the new config on the field, but I tend to imagine the 2:1 sync will help with BH damage and CC. I hope it will also be OK economy-wise.
I was wondering if there's any tool doing the maths about Coin income with different builds and cooldowns.
What do you guys think?

It looks like the meeting instructions have changed to remove the pre-registration requirement. The options are: show-up in person and follow instructions to join the queue live, or join zoom and use the "raise hand" function when it gets to the comment portion.
Meeting structure There will be a hearing to explain the changes of each amendment, and after each hearing the public comment occurs.
I am guessing that the Housing Needs Assessment amendments will probably be together in one big package. If that's true then it will take longer to go through all the hearings before we can begin commenting. I'm not sure if they would/could break up the hearings for each part.
I am hoping they can get through the agenda. Last time the Transit Oriented Development proposal took 2.5 hours to get through public comment and that's why these items were pushed to this meeting. Call to action for parking reform For the goals of CarIndependentPGH I think we all want this parking reform. This proposal will remove the requirement that home builders and businesses dedicate land to parking spaces.
The current requirement varies by neighborhood and, by law, demands that residences have on average 1.0-1.5 parking spaces per dwelling unit and that businesses have a certain number of parking spaces for peak traffic. — The current requirement forces all of us to eat the costs of this parking, to subsidize car use, and to dedicate valuable city land to cars when it should be used for people.
Businesses may still over-build parking. Home builders may still build garages and whatever else. Banks may not fund projects until they are satisfied with the number of parking spaces.
But this reform will remove the pro-car requirement and make it easier for people and businesses to choose to de-emphasize cars. I expect this will lower costs for businesses to open!
Other housing needs assessment changes If you're interested in the other proposed changes there's a whole lot to unpack if you look for it.
- ProHousingPGH supports the Charland "Easy IZ" proposal but it really hasn't had public hearings or community input yet.
- Lawrenceville United, 1Hood Power, Pittsburghers for Public Transit, Pittsburgh United, and Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group all support the original inclusionary zoning proposal.

2025.01.23 14:44 zjohnso2 HVAC leak?
My family lives in Atlanta and will be moving into a rental house. In moving our stuff in, we noticed this pool of water at the base of the furnace in the basement. Unfortunately we don't know the history of the HVAC system and whether this is an ongoing thing. Atlanta is having a rare cold snap with the temperature ranging between 20-35 degrees over the past 4-5 days. The house seems to be holding its temperature (58F) fine. Should we be concerned and if so what would you recommend doing next? What's the worst case scenario? Thanks
