2025.01.23 14:40 Lopsided-Ad6323 Random loss of power, I have no idea where to look next.
 | So this is a 2003 Tahoe that has given me the run around for a decade now. The car will run normal 95% of the time. And then randomly will lose power, like the pedal is getting no response, except the very bottom range of the pedal that will slightly rev the engine if you pump the pedal back and forth. But the computer throttle% always matches where I’ve pressed it. The “engines power loss” light doesn’t pop up like in the case of all the other videos I’ve seen. It has a brand new fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, TPS, fuel filter, MAP sensor, and all 4 O2 sensors. Loaded the parts cannon to the brim with powder.. Alas, I have not resolved the issue. I have checked fuel pump pressure and it gets up close to 60 when unplugging the regulator, doesn’t seem bad. My only other hunches is that there is a bare/shorted wire somewhere. But idk if it’s throttle, fuel pump, O2, or MAP harness I should be combing over. I have cleaned the grounds under the driver door and on the firewall and even added wires running to the battery ground. Hey everyone,
After reading a whole bunch of requests and wishes from players, I thought it would be relevant to adress one point that has been overlooked: the duality between safety and danger, and the one between hope and dread, that is present in the overwhelming majority of zombie games.
Why is the duality between safety and danger essential? First and foremost, the duality between safety and danger is central in zombie games. There's a good reason why players cherish their base in project zomboid or 7 days to die. Customizing the hell out of it, or building the most insane defenses, make it your base. It it keeping you safe, it is yours, you want to feel good in it.
The good thing is that these two games I just mentioned actually make you spend time in your base. It is not pointless to spend resources and invest energy into turning your safehouse/outpost/fortress better looking or safer. This is what it needs, as you will be staying there for quite some time while the danger runs outside.
The contrast becomes even more blatant in games like Dying Light, in which it is critical to know where the safehouses are in order to survive being chased at night. That "Phew!" feeling when the "you made it to safety" sound effect plays is amazing.
You get an adrenaline rush running from danger, and a big shot of relief when reaching home.
What purpose does the hope/dread duality serve? Deep emotional involvement will make you more encline to feel what the survivors might be going through in the apocalypse.
Well-written characters like Joel or Ellie from The Last of Us make you involved in their story. Therefore, their hope is your hope, and so is their despair. Same goes for The Walking Dead games, where each choice of yours matters and where the survivors feelings actually matter.
You are being pushed by dread, and attracted towards hope. That makes you want to save your characters from danger. This is why you want them to be safe, and stay away from the former.
Lots of talking, but why should SoD3 devs and players care about your babbling? The total lack of character development and that perpetual "well, that just happened" attitude makes it impossible to identify to any of them. They have no backstory, they all behave the same. They are all the same age, for some reason. When they die, all you care about is the skills you've lost through your character. They are like machines you manage, not people you care for. The characters might feel dread when one of their members die, but I don't.
Secondly, the duality between safety and danger is blurred, as safezones are useless, and sieges are laughable as well as inevitable.
I do not have any reason to spend time in my base, and it is even worse for outposts. I can not make them more resistant to attacks, they do not keep me safe because there is no danger to run away from. Danger either happens TO the base through sieges, or I go to it (plague hearts).
I currently do not have any reason to run away from danger and hide in my outpost, waiting for danger to go away (which should be the main goal of an outpost). They serve one purpose: being able to drop things off there. That's it, and that's actually so sad.
So yeah, that's what I think the game lacks. Reasons to care for your characters, and reasons to feel scared outside and safe inside. While it is true that you are safe in the area surrounding a player's location, again, it serves no purpose for you to be there.
I hope that somehow, my cry for change will be heard !

Moin zusammen. Ich habe vor zwei Jahren den A2 gemacht und mir ein Motorrad dazu gekauft (CB650R, aktuell gedrosselt auf 48PS). Wozu ich aktuell im Netz nicht schlau werde ist die Frage:
a) Aufstieg A mit eigenem Motorrad möglich?
b) Muss die Maschine für die Prüfung entdrosselt sein oder reicht die theoretische Möglichkeit, dass es eine A-Maschine ist (bzw. prüft das überhaupt jemand)?
Hintergrund ist für mich der, dass ich es als unsinnig empfinde, die Prüfung auf einer Fahrschulmaschine zu machen, die ich danach nie wieder fahre, wenn ich meine doch in der Garage stehen hab.
Wunsch wäre kurz zusammengefasst. Meine Maschine nehmen, mit der Fahrschule nochmal 1-2 Stunden abreißen, Prüfung auf der gedrosselten aber theoretisch größeren Maschine machen und danach dann Drosseö rausnehmen lassen.
Zu einfach gedacht für‘s deutsche Recht?

Assuming you are enjoying playing matches and looking for the most competitive environment to play in, here are the 4 reasons I have found to keep playing the event after completion:
- Completing the 5 win streak is supposed to be challenging. Getting 5 consecutive wins means that, more often than not, people will be using what they believe to be their strongest decks and trying their best to win. It by nature fosters the most challenging bracket to play in compared to the casual Beginner and TCG player queues. It also requires you to build decks based on what you believe you will compete against in your 5 game run. It forces you to engage with the games mechanics and think about how you will achieve a higher win rate vs the community.
- Emblems are the only skill based qualifiers in the game. There is no ladder, leaderboard, MMR, etc. The only way to display that you have achieved some level of skill in the game is to win and display emblems. You could argue that the 5 win streak events require a higher level of skill because you need to build a good deck and play it well consistently. The 45 win events can be achieved by anyone simply with time played.
- Completing the streak should feel like an accomplishment. The fact that it is difficult to do makes it feel impactful. The emblems are not participation rewards, you get those simply by queueing matches. Creating more of a challenge for others increases that feeling of accomplishment when they complete it.
- Emblem rewards are limited. You can only achieve these icons for a limited time and being a formidable opponent to other players makes the reward more exclusive. By creating an environment where the emblem is harder to achieve, you also increase the rarity of your own accomplishment.

Hi guys
Currently looking for an ERP system to integrate in the company. We're a small team of 10-15 people designing, manufacturing in China, and selling permanent point of sale in-store displays for all kinds of brands. I'm fairly new in the company and these guys are super old school. To sketch an image, Some of them still have paper agendas, almost no laptops, no Teams/Slack, internal landline, and they do their project management in decades old accounting software.
It works to a large extent, but I'm hearing a lot of complaints about difficulty of juggling 10 projects per team and tracking everything. We manage shipping and distribution sometimes too.

Now I find myself scouring the internet for tools - my god there's so many now - that can help us. Currently the best contender seems Odoo. But I tried hosting ERPNext too. It looks good but seems complicate to set up and customize to our needs. I'm looking for anyone that has some solid experience doing this for theiother companies and could give a quick rundown of their experience with it.

Hey everyone,
I'm in a challenging situation with a corrupted-21.4GB\multiple MP4 video file(s), and this is actually a recurring problem for me. I could really use some advice on both recovering this file and preventing this issue in the future. Here's the situation:
- The Incident: My camera (Sony a7 III) unexpectedly shut down due to battery drain while recording a video. It had been recording for approximately 20-30 minutes.
- File Details:
- The resulting MP4 file is 21.4 GB in size, as reported by Windows.
- A healthy file from the same camera, same settings, and a similar duration (30 minutes) is also around 20 GB.
- When I open the corrupted file in a hex editor, approximately the first quarter contains data. But after that it's a long sequence of zeros.
- Compression Test: I tried compressing the 21.4 GB file. The resulting compressed file is only 1.45 GB. I have another corrupted file from a separate incident (also a Sony a7 III battery failure) that is 18.1 GB. When compressed, it shrinks down to 12.7 GB.
- MP4 Structure:
- Using a tool to inspect the MP4 boxes, I've found that the corrupted file is missing the
moovatom (movie header). it has it but not all of it or maybe corrupted? - It has an
ftyp(file type) box, auuid(user-defined metadata) box, and anmdat(media data) box. Themdatbox is partially present. - The corrupted file has eight occurrences of the text "moov" scattered throughout, whereas a healthy file from the same camera has many more(130). These are likely incomplete attempts by the camera to write the
moovatom before it died.
- Using a tool to inspect the MP4 boxes, I've found that the corrupted file is missing the
- What I've Tried (Extensive List):
- I've tried numerous video repair tools, including specialized ones, but none have been able to fix the file or even recognize it.
- I can likely extract the first portion using a hex editor and FFmpeg.
untrunc*:** This tool specifically designed for repairing truncated MP4/MOV files, recovered only about 1.2 minutes after a long processing time.- Important Note: I've recovered another similar corrupted file using
untruncin the past, but that file exhibited some stuttering in editing software. - FFmpeg Attempt: I tried using
ffmpegto repair the corrupted file by referencing the healthy file. The command appeared to succeed and created a new file, but the new file was simply an exact copy of the healthy reference file, not a repaired version of the corrupted file. Here's the commands I used:

Many people have experienced similar problems with cameras unexpectedly dying during recording, resulting in corrupted video files. While some have found success with tools like

- Recover-mp4
- Shutter Encoder
- Handbrake
- VLC
- GPAC When I try to open the corrupted file in GPAC, it reports "Bitstream not compliant."
- My MP4Box GUI
- YAMB When I try to open the corrupted file in YAMB, it reports "IsoMedia File is truncated."
- Many other common video repair tools.
Is there any possibility of recovering more than just the first portion of this particular 21.4 GB video? While a significant amount of data appears to be missing, could those fragmented "moov" occurrences be used to somehow reconstruct a partial
moov atom, at least enough to make more of the mdat data (even if incomplete) accessible?Any insights into advanced MP4 repair techniques, particularly regarding
moov reconstruction?Recommendations for tools (beyond the usual video repair software) that might be helpful in analyzing the MP4 structure at a low level?
Anyone with experience in hex editing or data recovery who might be able to offer guidance?
