2025.01.23 14:27 Outrageous-Jellyyy Closed old PayPal account, opened new one with same email and name. Now it won’t let me connect my bank
I’ve tried all the various methods to get it connect, however it continuously fails. I’ve deposited money into my PayPal balance, and that didn’t work. Then I tried entering my routing and account number information, but it says I’ve reached the maximum amount of paypal accounts I can add to that bank account. This is false, as I’ve only had one paypal account added to that checking account (the old one I closed yesterday). I’m wondering if the solution is to just wait until PayPal can verify certain things? What are your thoughts?

Hi,
I'm not a user of any cloud services, so not know their functionality. My wife is constantly short on storage with her phone.
My ideal scenario:
- Photos are stored in a phone memory - standard behavior
- All photos are backed up to the NAS - done by SyncThing
- When there is low storage detected, the oldest photos are removed from the phone and replaced by thumbnails. When a phone user click to any thumbnail, it's downloaded from the remote storage and shown in original quality.
- Do you know an Android app to have this functionality?
- Can I do this by NFS mount from the phone to NAS?

"bean to bar" refers to the process of controlling the entire supply chain of cacao, from the sourcing stage. technically, all "Big Chocolate" manufacturers are bean to bar, since they buy their cacao from farms in West Africa. this is why many English-speaking makers will refer to their chocolate as "craft chocolate", since it stresses the involvement of the maker. you will also read about "tree to bar chocolate", when a maker is also running a farm in the same country of production. craft chocolate making has traceability at its core: instead of buying low quality cacao from countries like Ghana and Ivory Coast, these manufacturers choose to source from other producing countries. states like Peru, Ecuador or Brazil might come to your mind, but cacao is also harvested in "unexpected" places like India, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Haiti, Taiwan and Jamaica! in fact, Fairtrade certifications aren't enough to ensure appropriate working conditions: the farmers don't really profit from the revenues, you still won't get data on the farms that produced the cacao and it basically works as a "token". I have a problem with companies like Tony's Chocolonely who still choose to buy cacao from West Africa - you cannot make a sustainable product out of such a complex system, where millions of families are employed and deforestation in a bigger issue. plus, in order to support the farmers, you have to pay a premium price for your chocolate bar (Tony's is actually very cheap, considering it comes is 180 gr. bars). a striking move would be to break away from the West Africa supplies, making smaller batches and sourcing from different countries. craft chocolate makers directly buy their cacao from estates and cooperatives, providing you with precise data about it on the wrappers (most of the times). you'll find pieces of information on the number of farmers involved, the cooperative's/estate's name and location, the cacao variety, the altitude... all of this by paying a big premium price for the beans, that come in small or micro batches. makers often travel to the places where the source cacao from (if they aren't already locals), investing in a number of initiatives with positive outcomes. regarding the cacao quality, each batch is different, even within the same region. farmers all over the world harvest cacao from finer genetics that naturally posess bright and strong tasting notes (it's up to the makers to choose what to enhance and how). the dark chocolate you find in stores has been roasted to the point it tastes burnt: this is why most people get the idea that dark chocolate is bitter. truth is chocolate can have very different and peculiar tasting notes: it can be very fruity, creamy and dairy-like, herbal and robust, spicy... without any added flavour. I've had 100% with very low bitterness! the depth of the flavour profile also allow consumers to eat less chocolate in order to feel satisfied! while bars are smaller (they usually come in 50 gr. bars, maybe 70 gr. at times), you only need to take a little piece and let it melt on your tongue to perceive a stronge taste (+ quality chocolate should have a persistent aftertaste), you probably wouldn't indulge this way. packaging are always made out of paper and most makers are turning to biodegradable and compostable plastic/paper wrappings. here you see some bars that confirm everything I've said. the brands are Luisa Abram, Mestiço, Krak, Feitoria do Cacao and Original Beans :) let's eat less, buy better and change the chocolate market! submitted by prugnecotte to ZeroWaste [link] [comments] |

Hi! This year I'm finally making the jump to android after being unhappy with iOS for several years.
Thing is, I am used to wearing a smartwatch for my notifications and workout tracking... But I find all of the Galaxy watches extremely ugly.... The only one that's semi appealing to me is Galaxy Watch FE, but I read that it suffers from poor battery life.
So my question is, is it viable to use another brand of watch with Galaxy? Can you give any suggestions of watches that work well with delivering system notifications and syncing/registering workouts?

Hoping someone might be able to figure it out. My gf has a 2013 Mazda 3 (i believe GX) 2L. There has been intermittent issues with CEL and about a year ago (APR 2024) she took it to a mechanic who replaced the MAF with an OEM, (HITACHI) He charged about $350 CAD so i believe he may have done it correctly. The light went away and never showed up until now.
Now before i start spending more and replacing i want to confirm if this is the issue. I looked with scan tool and P0101 is the only code. I cleared it and checked live data for the MAF (g/s) and the following came up
Idle 2-3 g/s
1500 RPM Upwards of 15 g/s
Regular driving reaches as high as 20-40 g/s and then dips around to 15 when stable speed and throttle
Now i know the MAF might be bad but could it really happen that MAF can get this dirty this soon to be causing error? I checked the hoses for any leak or crack, nothing. I cleaned the MAF a while ago as well. Air filter is new.
The only thing i have not done is maybe check the wiring harness for cracks or connectivity but it seems to happen more during cold weather. Important to mention it is below -10 C currently.
