Return in investment??
Salve, My wife and I are from Montreal Canada and have been looking for vacation home in Italy for the past 3 or so years. The plan is to spend some time there once we both retire in approximately 10 years. We’ve come close a couple of times since then but negotiations fell apart both times. We’ve been focusing our attention on the Molise region, more specifically-Termoli since we have our parents that were born there. However, we came to the realization that homes in coastal towns like Termoli are expensive and you don’t get much for your dollar. As a result, we have just recently expanded our search to Abruzzo and looking inland to such towns as Sulmona and Lanciano. Towns that have a larger population and that are well serviced. Towns that are accessible by bus and train so that I don’t have to be dependent on a car rental as I get older. What is the consensus on buying property in Italy? Will the housing market in Italy take off or will property value plummet? Are we in a “buy now” period or have I missed the boat? What regions will give me a better return in investment? Grazie

So I asked you guys to not post news, because they do not fit the theme of this sub. Some of those could be amusing, but the overwhelming majority of the news that's posted here is not in the vein of this sub. Granted, we do allow some news articles to be posted, given that we believe these discussions need to take place, but those are on a case by case basis (eg: drunk minor crashing car, RG Kar case etc.).
However, my request to stop posting news seem to have fallen on deaf ears because this has not abated, even after temp banning people. Therefore, from now on, I will be perma banning people who post news without clearing it with us first. These bans will not be appealable.
Like Saladin (PBUH) said, the sun will never set on 2bharatia. Shitposts or no posts on this sub. No more warnings.

2025.01.23 14:40 S-M-U-D-G-E FIrst time Pokemon Event - Any Advice?
Hi all, Dad of two here.
I managed, after 3 hours yesterday, to get Spectator tickets to Pokemon EUIC in London Excel and Pokemon Center for the Sunday. My son and daughter (and me) are very excited but I don't know what to expect.
He has started collecting around Xmas and picked Stellar Crown, that was all my local shops had in stock at the time, so hoping to pick up some cards he needs at the event. My wife and I are also interested in 151 just for pure nostalgia. We both gave our collections away when we were kids, cos who would of thought Pokemon cards would be this valuable now.
Anyway are there like rules or etiquette that we should be aware of? Any tips or general advice welcomed too :)

2025.01.23 14:40 FootballFine3610 New car sitting in driveway without being driven
Hi, I’m not sure if this is a stupid question but I have a brand new 2024 Volkswagen SUV with 30 miles on it and I currently don’t drive it because I’m in the process of getting my license. The car I currently practice with is my instructors car and in order to drive my own car I need someone with license. Long story short is it bad to let this brand new car sit in my driveway for too long without driving it? What can I do to prevent potential damage especially from cold air and not driving the car? I turn the engine on once every week just to start the car but I’m not even sure if it’s doing anything beneficial. Appreciate all the suggestions!

I've just moved house and no longer have a garage, but I do have quite a decent e-bike (please be kind, I wouldn't be able to cycle much without it). It's at a friend's house at the moment while I sort out storage for it. I'm in a county town in the south west. I wouldn't say that cycle theft is rife, but it does happen fairly frequently here. I'm trying to decide what type of cycle store to buy. I'd love to hear your thoughts please. Is it worth going the full hog and go for an Asgard (or similar) shed, or is that OTT for a county town? Any experiences with them or their competitors?

Ordered item from Italy, seller gave tracking info. I was receiving email updates late last night saying the package is being prepared for customs, but according to the tracking number it was cancelled at 13:43 local time, 12:45 my time, shortly after the label being generated.
Has the seller cancelled it, or is this an automatic message if the address info is illegible, for example.

Just wondering if it's my program or others are seeing the same problem.
Anytime I open a file that has part #28192 in it, the part has been moved and rotated and colliding with other parts. I obviously didn't leave the part like that when I closed out.
It seems to only be that part.

guys. i cannot stand up for too logn or ill feel too heavy to supprot myself. these past days ive literallt been unable to sit on my shins or cross my legs because of my water retention. my behind used to be really padded because of the retention but now it feels boney and my calves are just expanding more and more. i did the dishes jsut now and i kid you not. my limbs were literally aching and now they feel like theyre on fire. i dont knownwhat to do about this. my favorite boots cant zip up to my calves anymore. my socks are too tight and dig into my skin. my bra also started digging into my skin and i didnt even realize how bad it was until i took it off. my hands are weirdly boney. my pre ed pants dont fit me but other things that never fit around my wrist or upper body pre ed still do. i eat mostly mechanically for seemingly no reason?? i dont feel bery hungry. it just happens BUT, i wake up more puffed up than ever since i started eating with no strong hunger. i also do not feel well rested after literally 13 long hours of sleep. i wake up several times in the night but am too sleepy when i do so i fall back asleep immediately.
