2025.01.23 14:26 potato_nonstarch6471 I have a soldier wanting to apply to a commission (ipap). Corp CSM wants to write the SM a reference letter.
I'm all for soldiers obtaining upward mobility and CSMs wanting to help soldiers obtain thier military goals. The CSM has taken a close interest in this Rockstar medical. In short it's sounds great to a Corp CSM as a professional reference.
However how would a selection committee view a corp CSM's reference letter over lt col, col or even GO? ( def can get a lt col or o6/ physician reference for this soldier)
The applicant is one of my best medics I've ever seen perform. He enlisted with a physics degree because he didn't get into medical school initially. Cunning and intelligent this guy would be successful in whatever he chooses to do in life. He can have my job.

My partner, (37M) is a serial dater. He has had 3 long term relationships since about the age of 20. When 20, it was a 3 year one. The other two relationships never made it to two years.
In between these relationships, he has dated. A lot. Sometimes a 1-2 different girls a week. Then he will spend time “talking” to a couple of girls for a few weeks/months until he finds someone else exciting to move onto.
With his long term relationships, he will jump on the dating apps literally the day he’s single.
When we started dating, he was only single for 3 months from a 1.5 year relationship. He asked me to be his gf within like 3 weeks of knowing each other. I wasn’t sure if this was a red flag, because he swept me off my feet.
He claims to have never cheated which I believe, but my worry is will he ever be able to settle down and commit to marriage AND be happy doing it?

Op mijn standaard loopje naar de Gall en Gall kwam ik langs dit gedenkteken. Het is nieuw.
Een mooi en naar schatting een vrij duur monumentje. Het is van natuursteen en waterpas geplaatst.
Ik denk dat we allemaal weten wie Floris was en wat hij 9 jaar lang dagelijks bij die boom deed. Hij was duidelijk geliefd en gelukkig heb ik ooit een film gezien dat Ook honden naar de hemel gaan.
Echter....
Deze steen ligt in een openbaar parkje, midden in de randstad, omringt door flats en gemeentelijke hoveniers.
Ik begon me ineens voor te stellen in wat voor soort wereld ik leef.
Zou dit; A: binnen de kortste keren weg zijn? Dan wel verwijderd door de gemeente, gepikt of gesloopt.
B: over een half jaar hier nog liggen, omdat mensen eerbied tonen voor het grote verdriet wat een medemens ertoe zetten om dit aan te leggen.
Ik heb geen idee. Daarom de vraag aan jullie. Ik loop vaker naar de Gall en Gall dan ik wil toegeven, dus ik kan vrij accuraat zien hoe lang het er blijft.
Vandaag ligt het er... wanneer is het weg?

2025.01.23 14:26 FarCryRedux Our Kobra Max keeps shaking itself so hard that it moves. How do you keep yours steady?
I'm even decreasing the speeds in the slicer down to 120 from the default which is much higher.
When I come into my lab in the morning the Max has moved it self multiple inches. It's on a very sturdy table, and it's slamming the table into the wall.
The only solution we've found is placing the Max on the carpeted floor, but that's not an acceptable long term solution.
Any ideas? Has anything worked for you?
