I grabbed the phone and hit accept real fucking quick, the order only had 9 items and lived 3 miles away!! that in itself was a BLESSING! shopped the order in minutes, drove to her house, she even had one of those snack carts for delivery drivers!! I was amazed and shocked and messaged her thank you (along with saying thank you to her Ring camera) and she then added 50$ more on top!! I made 100$ in 20 minutes! I literally cried and she simply said You’re welcome, stay warm! Hi, Reddit. I am a rookie in ethics research. Now, I am trying to find some ethical framework to guide my qualitative data analysis. However, I am confused about “principlism” and “deontology.” Both focus on the principles of the actions, but one belongs to the stream of applied ethics while the other belongs to normative ethics. I even saw someone say that the principlism is “applied deontological ethics” (is that correct?). I want to know what is the difference between these two.

The biggest question we have right now is what mics would be best?
We love the PodMic and PodMic USB, will there also work with DeadCats? Which DeadCat would fit?
Would you recommend other Rode Mics instead? Which ones?
Setup concept so far:
- RodeCaster Pro 2
- Micstands (off table / no table)
- 4 Mics (Podic, PodMicUSB, Procaster, others?)
- Headphones (we like the idea of the comfortable NTH-100)
- 30W Powerbank, memory, cables...
- Bags...
We don't have dedicated rooms, therefore it'll be all in bags ready to use. We assume most of the time will be indoors especially in the colder seasons. The rooms will unlikely feature nice acoustics. We have great nature locations nearby inluding beaches and woods and we would love to podcast outdoors. How about an additional wireless mic for nature sounds ;-)
Sound quality is important, headphones as well (we love the immersion effect of headphones when producing the podcast)
Weight is an issue, but we won't carry the equipment far, we usually have cars.
Of course anyone who picks up the podcast equipment will have had a short training. We assume, that initially about 10 people might regularly use the equipment for their podcast.
The equipment and training is meant to reduce the post processing effort as much as possible. Initially we don't plan live podcasts.

2025.01.23 17:39 HippoLaxitive Update: Asking for a webdev role sanity check
 | A couple months ago I posted a question, looking for feedback as to my work situation. You can find the post here. I thought I would post an update. Monday morning the president of the company asks if I can join a meeting. "Sure thing" I reply. When I log in, I see that it is just him and the HR lady. I immediately knew what was next. I was laid off. This was 100% out of the blue. Blindsided. 3 months short of 7 years with the company. They gave me 1 months severance. I had more PTO saved than that (which they don't pay out). The meeting lasted 90 seconds. In the past couple days, speaking with a friend who's still there, they have no contingency plan. They spread my work around to 7 or 8 people, none of which are developers. There are no developers. They are barely technical. They are marketing, creatives, and a product specialist. The main office people were all saying the Director of Markeing "said she knew how to do everything" because she can update text and links on the homepage using the Shopify Admin. All of them are now in the current production theme publishing changes simultaneously. What could possibly go wrong there, right? I feel like I should mention here that they have no full backups of their Shopify instance. I was tasked a year and a half ago to look into solutions. But the president rejected my findings, saying they were "too expensive." More expensive than what it would cost to get back up and running from zero? Ooookay. Even if they were able to hire a replacement for my role, there is nobody to bring them up to speed. Nobody there who can describe how things work. It would take that person months to get their arms around it all, while they would ride that person into the ground. Remember that Director of Technology I mentioned in the original post? Apparently he quit the same day I was laid off. I don't believe it was related, but still. He lasted 4 months. I'm sure glad I sold my mental health and time with my family throughout November and December to achieve their record conversion rate and average order values.
