I have a few questions regarding OCD in general and also on how it impacts sleep:
1) Always had intrusive thoughts around sleep but I've learned to manage it now. Regardless, I can't fall asleep with even the slightest change in sleep setting. New place? No sleep. New position? No sleep. This is most annoying because I sleep on my tummy and it is ruining my posture. I have tried everything to sleep on the side/back but nothing helps. This isn't even traditional OCD in the sense that no thoughts of anxiety/dread keep me up. I'm just chilling and not sleeping and feeling like shit the next day. Any suggestions/recommendations?
2) Do y'all think OCD keeps recurring in different forms? When I was younger, fear of contamination and re-reading and re-writing were some things I fixated on. By the time I overcame them in college via exposure, I had gotten OCD insomnia. Now it feels like almost all other OCD habits are under control but all the sleep related ones are horrible.

I am going through such a weird sensation right now! Not feeling sick or anything, not even fully anxious but I have this really annoying looming darkness and anxiety that I’ll throw up in my near future. Again, I don’t feel sick at all! But it’s just like a cloud of sadness and worry is hanging over me. What can I do? Like I just want this feeling to stop hanging over me 😔 I don’t have therapy again for two weeks. I’ll start by saying I know we’re still very early into potty training and she has shown very good progress. Just looking for similar stories/anecdotes/advice/encouragement!
We are on day 6 of oh crap method, block 2. Day 1 was awful (see my post history 😅). Day 2 she was still naked and we got a self-initiated poop in potty and 3/10 pees in potty, all self-initiated. I was on cloud 9. Days 3-6 she has been in pants with no undies. She has gotten all poops in the potty until today (see below) and about 70% of pees in the potty. Most have been self initiated because she reacts terribly to prompting. Often she starts to pee a little, tells us she has to go, and we help her get to the potty and take her pants off. Sometimes she’ll walk herself to the potty and we take her pants off and she goes. Once she walked herself to the potty, took her pants off, and went. I almost pooped my own pants! 😂
Yesterday afternoon and this morning have been a different story. She had 2 pee accidents yesterday evening and 1 poop/pee accident today. My mom (who is watching her while we work) saw her start to go and tried to move her to the potty and she yelled no and threw a tantrum and finished in her pants.
I’m pretty sure she hates being over-prompted and it’s a power struggle. However she goes back to daycare tomorrow and they’re going to have to prompt somewhat because they can’t follow her around all day waiting for her cues.
Anyone else making good progress, have some setbacks, and then resume progress? I’m just so exhausted by this whole thing part of me wishes we never even started, but I can’t lose all the progress we’ve already made!
