2025.01.23 20:42 Pet_That_Dog_Now Prescription "Monthly" Fee?
I have a hard time finding a way to get a prescription (have insurance/not covered, but working on it due to the Sleep Apnea FDA approval) without having to pay a monthly fee to someone to "check in" and give diet/exercise tips. Even trying to go through Ro has a $145 fee each month on top of the prescription price and you can't get the script without the monthly cost. I'm finding even doctors are doing this, on top of expecting you to come to the office for a "check up" every 1-3 months. Is this a thing nationwide? Or just where I live? (Not using med spas or weight loss clinics - going to actual medial doctors)

 | I received my fattail on 12/17/24 and he’s been VERY skittish and will not come out of his humid hide, he also still has not eaten (although it doesn’t seem like he’s losing any weight), there also seems to be a little bit of stuck shed on his tail? There has been times recently where it’s completely quiet in my room and he comes and basks on top of his humid hide and then some sound or movement he’ll completely freak out and run back into his humid hide. I’ve tried sitting next to his tank for 30 minutes to even hours a day just talking to him and making a little click/kissing sound while he’s inside his tank and hide. Would anyone recommend possibly taking off the top of the hide for atleast a couple hours? What can I do to help him eat, lose that shed, and also to warm up to everything? I’ve posted some pictures as well. Very new to the crypto scene but trying to jump on it with the new trump and Elon team as I can see crypto EXPLODING during his time in office…
Been researching XRP and can see a lot of positives around it and a lot of backing behind the scenes from banks already from my understanding and the potential for an ETF to roll out could give this a huge boost too
My question would be is would now be a good time to buy or does anyone think further dips are coming after the high of almost 3.2 yesterday or has the ship sailed for a newbie already?

Hi all - finally returning to Iceland this year in mid-April! Due to weather our first trip was mostly Reykjavik plus some Golden Circle and drive to Vik. We're hoping to do a full Ring Road this time around. Understanding weather can change it all, does the below itinerary look realistic? Day 8 is a bit of a buffer day at the end just in case.
Day 1: Land ~7am, stay in Vik
- Thingvellir / Golden Circle
- Continue to Vik, stops along the way
- When we came in 2022, due to a blizzard we were only able to see some of the Golden Circle and all the major sites from Selfoss to Vik so this part will be sort of shortened
- Either Katla Ice Cave or snowmobiling (any ideas if snowmobiling is worth it? Seems like some reviews say its just a slow, straight ride in an open snowy area)
- Explore Vik
- Drive to Svartifoss and do the hike
- Skaftafell glacier tour (mid-day)
- Jokulsarlon boat tour (~5pm)
- Check out Eastfjords (depending on energy, maybe go all the way up to Borgarfjarðarhöfn)
- Potential detour to Hengifoss instead
- Hengifoss or Borgarfjarðarhöfn
- Lunch at Hak Cafe and hike Studlagil Canyon
- Explore Myvatn
- Godafoss
- Botanical Garden / cafe
- Forest Lagoon
- Kirkufell
- Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge
- Saxhóll Crater?
Day 9: Reykjavik, dinner at Ox
Day 10: leave to airport around 3/4pm

A throwaway account for obvious reasons.
First complaint I could have. Just been informed there me be a complaint that's going to be filed against me. I am part of a community policing team, was on the way back from a job and spotted a car which was parked across the pavement and issued a PCN. A university student came out (student area and in his gear) and had a go, usual 'have you not got any proper crime to deal with' and then brought up Sarah Everard and his own experiences with a family burglary. He then really insulted the job.
I then said rather stupidly "I have your plates, I will do you for drink driving". I then drove off instantly, while he carried on shouting at me for a name and number. He's marched straight down to his local station and reported it, I have been called in and been pulled up on not turning my camera on and making the statement (I admitted to it). He may file an actual complaint.
How much trouble am I in, what is the worst that could realistically happen, I am so worried at the moment I can't think straight. Do I need a solicitor?

2025.01.23 20:42 magica12 something got me thinking...about adapting the book...why not a non visual adaptation in the form of audio drama? like radio plays.
i was thinking about this, we've got a graphic novel in the works. a prequel novel, audio books of the actual books. but why not a radio dramatization adaptation?
honestly not sure of too many more contemporary examples out side of Big Finish and Audible. but like think the original hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, or the many audio plays for the wizard of oz, theres one on audible.
like i know a lot of people arent too hot on those, but why not an audio dramatization?
like you dont have to worry about sets and makeup, realistically if it was wanted they could be made in large chunks like one chunk per chapter section. being like 2-3 hours long each.
more dialogue could be added and they could again have audio cameos from alumni and such.
and hey say you wanted to make a wicked TV show based on the book? remove lines that are required for descriptions (honestly the thing that in my experience, puts a lot of people off radio dramas) and you could adapt for say HBO, like the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy did, by revising the radio script a tad.
just a litttle food for thought
